Services for Frankie Lois Wilkinson, 80, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, in the chapel of K.L. Brown Memory Chapel. Clyde Ray officiated. Burial was in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wilkinson died May 7 at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Routh, of DeSoto, Mo., Lois Putman, of Jacksonville and Lisa Johnson, of San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Ricky Wilkinson, of Jacksonville, Sam Wilkinson, of Heflin and Terry Wilkinson, of Macon, Ga.; a sister, Rachel Dye of Macon, Ga.; three brothers, EJ Cardin and Jim Cardin of Rome, Ga., and Bill Cardin of Georgia; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of Weaver Church of Christ. Her husband Eugene Wilkinson, son, Johnny Wilkinson, and brothers, Frank, Samuel, Robert and Harold Cardin preceded her in death.

EASTABOGA — Funeral services for Thomas W. "Tommy" Brooks Jr., 53, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Coldwater Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Morgan and The Rev. Thomas Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brooks passed away Thursday at Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one sister, Darlene Houston and her husband, Bill, of Eastaboga; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bussey, Eddy Nunnelley, Terry Brooks, Jason McCormick, Jon Burdick and Rick Walls. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Open Door Sunday School Class, Coach Bill Burgess and Bruce Rice. Mr. Brooks was a native of Dearmanville and a resident of Coldwater. He retired from Tyson Foods. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, T.W. and Iris Brooks; two brothers, Willie L. Brooks and Freddie H. Brooks. VINA — Thelma Mae Ledbetter Guerra, 67, died on May 16, 2008 at her home in Vina, Alabama. She was born May 22, 1940 to Thurston and Pearlie Thorn Ledbetter. She was formerly a resident of Jacksonville and she was a caregiver for animals, a Christian and devoted mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Sarah Ann Ledbetter, Icie Dewdrop Stanphill and Darlene Ledbetter; and one brother, William Franklin Ledbetter. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Alabama with Bro. W.D. Humphres. Burial will follow at Old Burleson cemetery with Deaton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the funeral home.
Survivors include two children, Margaret Ann Guerra, of Jacksonville and Richard Guerra (Tammy), of Naples, Italy; two sisters, Ester Jane Ledbetter, of Vina, and Nancy Hudson (Leslie), of Garden City; two nephews and three great nieces.

Mr. Cosper died Saturday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Jones; one son, Jeremy (Kara Lee) Smith; three brothers, Rodney (Anita) Campbell, Douglas (Winnona) Campbell and, Danny (Barbara) Campbell; two grandchildren, Logan and Alyssa Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margie Campbell. She enjoyed playing cards with her loving friends and family and was thankful for everything they did for her in her time of sickness. Mrs. Jones was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County.

He will lie in state at the church Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Mr. Lester was born in Cleburne County. After his service life, he became a long time resident of Oxford. He was a WW II Army Veteran and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where he once served as a deacon. He had a life long career with Alabama Power Company with almost 40 years of service. Mr. Lester is preceded in death by his daughter Charlene Lester. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maelene Turner Lester; children, Greg (Sue) Lester, Cindy (Ken) Quick; grandchildren, Chad (Cathy) Quick, Brandon and Rusty Quick, Michael and Lindsey Lester; great-grandchildren, Tori and Caiden Quick; brother, Donald (Yvonne) Lester; sister, Geraldine King, and several nieces and nephews.
