Survived by 5 Sons, Felix of Thorsby, Frances Marion of Underwood, J. H. Eiland and C. N. Eiland of Clanton Route 4, T. V. Eiland of Thorsby Route 1, 7 Daughters, Mrs. J. N. Littlejohn, Mrs. Rebecca Riggins, Mrs. Frances Riggins, Mrs. Seburn Riggins, Mrs. C.C. Hayes, Mrs. James Price, and Mrs. Jennie Riggins.

William Boone "Bo" Eiland, Jr. 55, of Spanish Fort, died Thursday, March 31.Survivors include his wife, Donna Eiland of Spanish Fort; son, Boone Eiland of Covington, LA; daughter, Emily Gonzalez of Fairhope; two grandsons, Will Eiland and Ian Eiland, both of Covington, LA; sister, Elisabeth Cleckler of Clanton; two brothers, Paul Eiland of Rosinton and Danny Eiland of Clanton. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. at Martin Memorial cemetery with Rev. John Troubough and Rev. Larry Anderson officiating.

Ellison, Cecil Clyde

Services for Cecil C. Ellison, 77, of Jemison were Saturday, Nov. 22, at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. S.A. Lowery officiating. Burial was in Midway Memorial cemetery with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mr. Ellison died at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham Thursday, November 20. Survivors include three sons: Rev. Royce Ellison of Clanton, Luman Ellison of Foley and Stevie Ellison of Montevallo; three daughters, Ann Taylor and Michelle Ward, both of Jemison, and Pam Hall of New Albany, Miss.; two brothers, Floyd Ellison and Grady L. Ellison, both of Jemison, 15, grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Cynthia Diane 'Cindy' Ellison, 38, Jemison, will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Clanton on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Tim Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Ellison was born on May 2, 1967, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Warren and Helen Fay Edwards. She was employed in food service. She died at the intersection of Alabama Highway 191 and County Road 50 on Feb. 6, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Stevie Ellison, Jemison; two sons, Christopher Wade Dale and Nathan Bryan Dale, both of Jemison; her father, Warren Edwards, Jemison; her mother, Helen Faye Price Edwards, Jemison; one brother, Bruce Edwards, Jemison; and one grandfather, Van Edwards, Clanton.

Funeral services for Donald Stevie Ellison, 38, of Jemison will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2001 at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton, with the Rev. Willard Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memorial Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Ellison was born in Chilton County on March 29, 1962 to the late Cecil Clyde Ellison and the late Sophia Mae Ellison. He died on Feb. 18, 2001 on County Road 50 in Thorsby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Ellison and his parents. He is survived by three sisters, Ann Taylor, Clanton; Pam Hutchinson, New Albany, Miss.; Michelle Ward, Thorsby; two brothers, Pete Ellison, Elberta; Royce Ellison, Clanton; two step-sons, Chris Dale, Jemison; Nathan Dale, Clanton.

Grady Lee Ellison Grady Lee Ellison, 79, of Jemison, died Tuesday, November 16 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel today at 3 p.m. with Rev. Royce Ellison and Rev. Jeff Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Mount Cemetery, Jemison. Survivors include three daughters, Vickie Thomas of Jemison, Patsy Taylor of Jemison and Bette Lowery of Jemison; brother, Floyd Ellison of Jemison; and six grandchildren.

Randy Gothard officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Community Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Jean Ellison of Jemison; two sons, James "Littleman" Ellison of Jemison and Barry Eugene Ellison of Jemison; brother, Robert Earl Ellison of Alabaster; three grandsons, Kevin Ellison of Thorsby, Keith Ellison of Jemison and Bo Ellison of Birmingham; and several nieces and nephews.

Service for Marvin M. Ellison, 83 of Montgomery, will be held today at Martin Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at the Providence Baptist Church No. 2 Cemetery. Ellison, an advertising salesman, died Wednesday, Aug. 27 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Doris S. Ellison of Montgomery, three sons - Walter A. Ellison of Montgomery, John W. Ellison of Prattville and Fredrick O. Ellison of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by two daughters, Julia A. Lincoln of Montgomery and Paula E. Cole of Billingsley, one sister, Dorothy Furmanski of Lipscomb, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. .

Services for Melvin Ellison, 76 of Clanton, were held Monday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home. The service was officiated by Rev. Robert Gibson. He was buried at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. Ellison was a brick-mason. Ellison is survived by five brothers - Joe Richard Ellison of Austin, Texas, Marion Ellison, Jr., of Abelene, Texas, Lonnie Gene Ellison of Dayton, Ohio, Jimmy Ellison of Clanton and Harold Ellison of Clanton as well as two sisters, Annie Ruth Wilson of Clanton and Helen Ellison Dawson of Jemison.

Jean Evans died Sunday morning, burial was in Clanton Cemetery. He was born in Atlanta, GA. in 1860, came here in early life. He married Miss Glennie Tallulah Phillips. He was a charter member of the Clanton Methodist Church. His marriage was in 1899. Oldest Son, John died at age 8, other Children, Clarence Evans, Leon Evans, Robert Evans, Julian Phillips Evans, and J.D. Evans, one daughter, Mrs. Evan Parrish. His Sister, Miss French Evans, lives in Clanton.

Graveside services for Nelson Leverne Evans, 61, of Selma, were Monday, October 28, 1996, at 2 p.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Maplesville with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mr. Evans was born August 30, 1935, to the late Lewis and Exar Langston Evans. He served in the Navy form March 10, 1955 to August 20, 1956. He worked as a mechanic. He died Saturday, October 26, 1996 at Veteran's Hospital in Montgomery. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Evans of Clanton; his son, Joseph Evans of Tuscaloosa; and four brothers: Bill Evans, Charles Evans, both of Maplesville, Clifford Evans of Alabaster and Tommy Evans of Oklahoma.

Farley, Elmer Clifton

S. Sgt. Elmer C. Farley, age 24, Son-In-Law of Mrs. Ruby Smith was killed June 7, at Eglin Field by Lightening. He was talking on the telephone when lightening struck the line, killing him instantly. He is survived by his Wife, Mrs. Janet Smith Farley of Clanton, his Mother, Mrs. George A. Farley of Birmingham, 2 Sisters. Burial was at Forrest Hill cemetery in Birmingham.

Visitation will be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, from 6-7 p.m. Farmer was born on Oct. 29, 1907, in Alabama, the daughter of the late John Boswell and the late Arrie Zimble Boswell. She was a homemaker. She died at Vaughn Regional Medical center/Parkway Camp. Survivors include three sons, J. D. Burkhalter, Selma, Curtis Burkhalter, Las Vegas, Nev., Hershell Burkhalter, Little Rock, Ark.; one brother Wilburn Boswell, Birmingham; one sister, Ethel Thornton, Birmingham; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Howard Burkhalter and John Patterson.

Mrs. Ruby Farmer, a lifelong resident of the Stanton community, died there Monday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Stanton Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Survivors include the husband, M. J. Farmer; three sisters, Mrs. Bela Blocker, of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. G. E. Collins of Clanton, and Mrs. I. J. Smith of Lawley, one brother Alfred Cochran, of Snow Hill; nine stepchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Headley, and a sister, Ruth Nobles.
