BETTY SUE TRAMMELL

RAGLAND — Funeral service for Betty Sue Trammell, 72, will be Friday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Ragland with the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Trammell died April 27 in Birmingham. She was the owner and operator of Betty's Variety Store and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard M. Trammell Sr.; her parents, William and Bertie Campbell; grandson, Joshua Adam Buff; great-grandson, Brendon Jarrett Trammell; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by daughters, Janice Littrell of Oneonta, Deborah Trammell of Ragland, Pamela Buff of Sumiton and Vicky Smith of Chelsea; sons, Millard M. Trammell Jr. of Mobile, Dennis Ray Trammell of Mobile and Wade Trammell of Ragland; sisters, Geneva Day of Ragland and Gwen Meads of Cardiff; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; very special friends, Bobbie and Fay Parnell of Ragland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

JAMES E. WILLIAMS

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for James E. Williams, 75, will be Friday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Williams died April 28 at Citizens BMC in Talladega. He was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was a retired textile worker and was a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Faye Williams of Talladega; daughters, Sandra Hindman of Talladega, Linda Robinson of Lincoln, Becky Williams of Talladega, Charlotte Howard of Talladega, Brenda Sullivan of Munford, Judy Gann of Talladega, Jane Wiseman of Talladega, Cathy Cooper of Talladega and Pamela Buchanan of Talladega; sons, James Danny Williams, Larry Williams, Donald Williams, Ronald Williams, Michael Williams, Stevie Williams and Scottie Williams of Talladega; sisters, Roberta Solley of Lineville, Ethel Summer of Odenville and Pauline Ledbetter of Florida; 34 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Cooper, David Howard, Paul Catlett, Raymond Sullivan, Kenny Robinson and Ricky Hindman.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

ANNA MAUDE BAKER

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Anna Maude Baker, 91, will be Saturday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charlie Bolt and the Rev. Freddie Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker died April 29 at Talladega Health Care Center. She was a native of Shelby County and had lived many years in Talladega. She was a retired textile worker from Wehadkee Mills and was a member of the Cherry Street Church of God in Talladega.

She is survived by son, James Milton Cochran and wife June of Talladega; grandchildren, Randy Cochran of Talladega, Kerry Cochran of Cumming, Ga., Jamie Cochran and wife Tammi of Birmingham and Melanie Barksdale and husband John T. of Franklin, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Randi Leigh Cochran, Megan Cochran, Hunter Cochran, Christopher Cochran, Nicholas Cochran and Tyler Barksdale.

Pallbearers will be Pete Townsend, Wendell Herrington, Danny Herrington, Ronnie Herrington, Millard Abrams and Oran Herrington.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

JOHN HENRY CURRY

TALLADEGA — John Henry Curry, 57, of 3461 Eastaboga Road, died April 30 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

MARVIN GAMBLE

ALEXANDER CITY — Marvin Gamble died April 30 at Russell Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright's Funeral Home.

QUENTIN MILES GOODWIN

BIRMINGHAM — Funeral service for Quentin Miles "Butch" Goodwin, 55, formerly of Talladega, will be Saturday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Birmingham with the Rev. Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens in Talladega.

Mr. Goodwin died April 23. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Goodwin. He was a graduate of Westside High School and was a member of the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army where he received numerous medals and commendations.

He is survived by daughter, Patrice Goodwin of Birmingham; son, Quentin Miles Goodwin Jr. of Birmingham; his mother, Anne Mullens of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Constance Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev., Jacqueline Mosley of Columbus, Ohio and Gabrielle Mullens of Chicago, Ill.; and one grandchild.

Davenport-Harris Funeral Home will direct the service.

ANNIE LAURA McGOVERN

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Annie Laura McGovern, 75, will be Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Bill Huffaker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. McGovern died April 29 at Citizens BMC. She was a native and resident of Talladega for most of her life. She was a resident of Isanti, Minn., for 17 years, was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick McGovern.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Harvey Hendrix of Talladega; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Debee McGovern of Mora, Minn.; sisters, Mildred Kirkland of Lincoln, Buena Ogier of Talladega and Sue Hyner of Lincoln; brother, David S. (Red) Grace of Talladega; and grandchildren, Hillary Hughes, Zane Hendrix, Caitlin Hendrix, Andrew McGovern, Robert McGovern and Clint McGovern.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Zane Hendrix, Robert McGovern, Clint McGovern, Glenn Horn, Albert "Bo" Hurst and Marvin Williams.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

SYLACAUGA — Courtney Morris, 7, died April 30 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga.

TALLADEGA — Eloise Stockdale, 77, of 188 Turner St., died April 30 at Talladega Health Care Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

SYLACAUGA — Charles C. Sexton, 84, died May 19 at Sylacauga Health Care.

JAMES RODNEY ADERHOLT

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for James Rodney Aderholt, 61, will be Wednesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Grice officiating.

Mr. Aderhold died May 31 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Aderholt of Sylacauga; son, Jamie Aderholt and wife Laurie of Sylacauga; daughter, Michelle Mulligan and husband Jack of Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Patsy Aderholt of Sylacauga; and grandchildren, Tripp Mulligan, Rhett Aderholt, Trent Mulligan and Ryan Aderholt.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Unity Freewill Baptist Church and Sylacauga Boys Club.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

ALICE MARIE CARR

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Alice Marie Carr, 74, will be Wednesday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Steve Mitchell and the Rev. Randy Hagan officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Mausoleum.

Mrs. Carr died May 31 at her residence. She was a native of Clay County and lived in Talladega for the past 20 years. She retired from Talladega Vocational Center and was a member of Hatchett Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Hoot G. Carr of Talladega; sons, Leonard Carr and Keith Carr of Talladega; sister, Rebecca Walker of Ashland; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Carr, Jr. Carr, Roger Carr, Dewayne Walker, Ronnie Walker and Terry Hanner.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
