LILA BELLE KASINGER

ALEXANDER CITY — Lila Belle Kasinger, 93, died July 31 at Adams Nursing Home. Atkinson Funeral Home in Adria, Mo., will handle burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 23, 1910 in Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gomer Wilson and Charles Kasinger; and one son, Jimmy Wilson.

She is survived by daughter, Betty Bland of Jackson's Gap; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Heritage Chapel Funeral Home in Alexander City is in charge of the arrangements.

REGINALD OWEN McEWEN

ATLANTA, Ga. — Graveside service for Reginald Owen McEwen, 53, will be Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 12:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Thornton officiating.

Mr. McEwen died Aug. 1 at Grady Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his mother, Norma McEwen of Greenville, S.C.; and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

EARNEST RICHARD PRICE SR.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Earnest Richard (Ricky) Price Sr., 51, will be Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with the Rev. Don Grice officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Price died July 31 at Mattie's Place. He was a very loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and will be missed very much.

He is survived by son, Earnest Richard Price Jr. and wife Melissa of Sylacauga; daughters, Crystal Robinson and Amy Hayes and husband Jonathan of Sylacauga and Kasie Price of Danielville, Ga.; brothers, William Raymond Price of Pelham, Robert Garfield Price of Owensburg, Ky., and Donald Ray Price of Midwest City, Okla.; sisters, Rachael Joyce Price of Midwest City, Okla., and Teresa Kelly of Sylacauga; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jody Cates, Dennis Thein, Gary Kelley, Rusty Price, Sam Bowden, Morgan Hamilton and Timmy Finn.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.

CURTIS EUGENE SMITH

LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Curtis Eugene Smith, 77, will be Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with the Rev. Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Smith died Aug. 1 at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Clay County where he had lived most of his life. He was a former resident of Talladega, was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Smith of Lineville; daughters, Kathy Joyce Smith and Tru Jean Davidson of Lineville; stepdaughter, Shelia Coke of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Michael Eugene Smith of Atlanta, Ga., James David Smith of Talladega, Mark Steven Smith of Lineville, Joel Glenn Smith of Talladega and Edward Curtis Smith of Lineville; sisters, Faye Cotney of Oxford, Nettie Gay Suggs of Ashland and Wynelle Atkinson of Jasper, Ga.; brothers, Roy Smith and Lester Smith of Alexander City; and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Leon Suggs, Billy Suggs, Bobby Cotney, Wendell Wolfe, Mark Heard and Mark Smith.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland will direct the service.

ANNISTON — Jessie Stockdale, 77, died July 31.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ervin Funeral Home.

DOLLY GRACE ANDREWS

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Dolly Grace Andrews, 64, will be Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with James Brown and Richard Horton officiating.

Mrs. Andrews died Aug. 2 at Coosa Valley Baptist Nursing Home. She was born and raised in Harpersville and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Childersburg. For the past four years she was a resident of Coosa Valley Baptist Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her father, Goldmon Hill; and brother, Paul Hill.

She is survived by son, Craig Thomas and wife Sara of Jasper; daughter, Brenda Wallis of Sylacauga; her mother, Helen Marie Hill of Harpersville; grandchildren, Misty Fincher and husband Brandon of Vandiver and Brent Wallis of Sylacauga; great-grandson, Cole Fincher of Vandiver; special friend, Mickie Weldon; brothers, Ray Hill and wife Sis, Tommy Hill and wife Pat, Charles Hill and wife Prissy, Roy Hill and Wayne Hill, all of Georgia; sisters, Faye Vick and husband Sid of Georgia and Ann McDaniel and husband Demp of Vincent; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Vick, David McDaniel, Roy Hill Jr., Tony Hill, Joe Weldon and Shane Weldon.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Coosa Valley Baptist Nursing Home.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.

KATHOISE M. GRAVES

ALEXANDER CITY — Graveside service for Kathoise M. Graves, 91, will be Friday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park in Tampa, Fla.

Mrs. Graves died Aug. 1 at Savannah Court.

She is survived by daughter, Gay Hawkins of Goodwater.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

JOHN MARCUS HAYNES

LINCOLN — Graveside service for John Marcus Haynes, 74, will be Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. in Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery in Eastaboga with the Rev. Penny Drummonds officiating.

Mr. Haynes died Aug. 2 at Citizens BMC. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lincoln. He attended Lincoln High School and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ada Haynes; and brothers, Marion Haynes and Bill Haynes. He was the manager of A&P Grocery for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Emily Ann Haynes of Lincoln; son, Jeff Haynes of Munford; sisters, Evelyn Stough of Eastaboga and Mildred Bridges of Dade City, Fla.; brothers, Milford Haynes of Lincoln and Roy L. Haynes Jr. of Greenville, S.C.; and grandchildren, Jeffery Brent Haynes of Lincoln and Jordan Lane Haynes of Munford.

Pallbearers will be Brent Haynes, Paul Haynes, Jordan Haynes, Scott Gauldin, Jeremy Hughes and Jonathon Hughes.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

GLADYS LAUDERDALE LOVETT

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Gladys Lauderdale Lovett, 81, will be Thursday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home chapel in Alexander City with the Rev. Pete McElrath officiating. Burial will be in Socopatoy Cemetery.

Mrs. Lovett died Aug. 2 at Coosa Valley BMC. She was born on Nov. 30, 1922 in Coosa County to Thomas Edward Lauderdale and Blanche Pauline Stone Lauderdale. She was a retired escrow analysis specialist for the Bank of Boston. She was also a houseparent at the Alabama School for the Deaf in Talladega and a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of Socopatoy Presbyterian Church and was an avid reader and Alabama football fan.

She is survived by sons, James M. Lovett of Hoover and John G. "Greg" Lovett of Leeds; five grandchildren; brother, Thomas V. Lauderdale of Sylacauga; and two nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Radney Funeral Home will direct the service.

OPAL NADENE MATHIS

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Opal Nadene Mathis, 77, will be Thursday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m. at Talladega Church of Christ with David Rozelle officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens.

Miss Mathis died Aug. 3 at Citizens BMC. She was a native of Oklahoma and had lived in Talladega for the past 75 years. She was a member of Talladega Church of Christ and was retired from Wal-Mart.

She is survived by sisters, Mary Dison of Ashland, Nancy Mathis of Talladega, Wynoma Mathis of Talladega and Judy Beasley of Oxford; three nieces; one nephew; six greatnieces; one greatnephew; two great-great-nieces and three great-great-nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Roy Hollingsworth, Edward Knodel, Jimmy Norred, Sonny Bonds, Paul Selby and Charles Kerley.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

JEREMY LAVON RIGDON

MILLBROOK — Funeral service for Jeremy Lavon Rigdon, 15, will be Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gary Dopson officiating. Burial will be in Prattville Memory Gardens.

Mr. Rigdon died Aug. 2 at his residence. He was a student at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ruis Rigdon; and uncle, Danny Rigdon.

He is survived by his parents, Ellen Rigdon Smith and Dayton Smith III; brother, Cody Smith; grandmother, Peggy Rigdon, all of Millbrook; stepgrandparents, Dayton Smith Jr. of Prattville and Kay and Ronnie Bland of Alexander City; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Prattville Memorial Chapel will direct the service.

BETTY MAE SNOW

CROPWELL — Private family memorial service for Betty Mae Snow, 65, will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Snow died Aug. 2.

She is survived by daughters, Heather Snow and Beth Gray; sister, Barbara Howland; and grandchildren, Joshua and Jenna Gray.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

WILLIE EDWARD TATUM

LINEVILLE — Willie Edward "Pudding" Tatum, 84, died Aug. 2 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Rest In Peace Funeral service.
