KATIE MAE CAMPBELL

ROOSEVELT, N.Y. — Funeral service for Katie Mae Campbell, 66, formerly of Talladega, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby J. Welch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell died March 11 at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, N.Y.

She is survived by one son, Ricky Campbell of Roosevelt, N.Y.; one daughter, Brenda Jefferson of Roosevelt, N.Y.; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.

TOMMY LANE COBB

SYCAMORE — Funeral service for Tommy Lane Cobb, 58, will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel with the Rev. Donnie Fields officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Cobb died March 16 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, was a dock foreman for Floyd and Beasley Transfer Company in Sycamore and was a native of Sycamore.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Cobb of Sycamore; two daughters, Leigh Anne Davis and husband Grayson of Talladega and Joey Cobb of Sycamore; one son, Grady Cobb of Sycamore; two brothers, Robert Cobb of Houston, Texas, and Ty Cobb of Sylacauga; and two grandchildren, Katie Davis of Talladega and Graham Davis of Talladega.

Pallbearers will be Bob McGrady, David McGrady, Chris McGrady, Scott Holmes, Pat Finn, Mike Crim, Glenn Fields, Carelynn Mizzell, Frenchy Floyd and Chase Gray.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

GEORGE LOUIS NIX SR.

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for George Louis Nix Sr., 65, of 423 Pine School Road, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at New Maryland Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Stanley Threatt officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Nix died March 14 at Citizens BMC. He attended Robert Russa High School, was a member of New Maryland Baptist Church and was owner of George Nix Concrete. He was a former employee of Brassfield and Gorrie and Brice Construction. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Nix Sr., and a brother, Frank E. Nix.

He is survived by daughters, Marshelle Long of Lee's Summit, Mo., Jacqueline Nix-Phillips of Oxford and Nalida Amy of Waco, Texas; one son, George L. Nix Jr. of Montgomery; his mother, Birdia Mae Taylor Nix of Talladega; sisters, Silverene Fuller of Cleveland, Ohio, Helen N. Garrett of Ft. Bragg, N.C., Merzialene Montgomery, Brenda Cook, Vivian Nix and Marion Truss of Talladega; two brothers, Thomas L. Nix Jr. and Joseph Nix of Talladega; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jerome Chapman, Grant Duncan, William Estelle, Sherman McKenzie, Gene Scott and James Storey.

Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

EDDIE O'NEAL

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Eddie O'Neal will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Community Funeral Home chapel with Dr. C. Howard Nevett officiating. Burial will be in Sylacauga Cemetery.

Mr. O'Neal died March 16 at Coosa Valley BMC. He was born Aug. 11, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank O'Neal and Susie Byke. He was employed at Avondale Mills until 1984.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Cobb; one granddaughter, several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and other relatives.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers and flowerbearers.

Community Funeral Home will direct the service.

CHARLES WAYNE PARIS

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Charles Wayne Paris, 71, of 1007 Cherry St., will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Fred Lackey officiating.

Mr. Paris died March 16 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Sylacauga and graduated from Munford High School, where he played football and baseball. He had lived in Talladega most of his life.

During the Korean War, Mr. Paris served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was a retired structural iron worker and worked all over the world. He helped build projects for NASA in Thailand and Madagascar, worked on the Alaskan Pipeline, helped build a cement plant in India and worked on Cinderella's Castle at Disney World.

He was active in local youth sports from 1965 to 1999, was a member of the Talladega High School Athletic Boosters Club and donated the lights that illuminate Mary Dumas Field. He was a Baptist by faith and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Jefferson Paris and Clara Roberson Paris; a sister, Linda McNeal; and a son, Jeffrey Clay Paris.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Christine Burns Paris; one daughter and son-in-law, Melisa Paris Parnell and Allen of Munford; four sons and daughters-in-law, Greg Paris and Linda, Shay Paris and Beth, Vance Paris and Lesia and Kevin Paris and Ginger, all of Talladega; one brother, J.P. Paris of Lineville; one sister, Clara Jo Willingham of Grand Bay; and16 grandchildren, Valerie Paris, Brooke Edmiston, Joey Paris, Kyle Paris, Lesley Paris, Jenny Paris, Kelsey Paris, Taylor Paris, Tyger Paris, Brittany Paris, Ashley Paris, Allison Paris, Leslie McCardle, Ty Parnell, Wayne Parnell and Maggie Parnell.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Wesley, Clardy Noel, Joe Wayne Ingram, Neal Rodgers, Johnny Vetra and Robert Hall.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.

DONIS LOUISE SMITH AYERS

TUSCALOOSA — Funeral service for Donis Louise Smith Ayers, 78, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ayers died March 17 in Tuscaloosa. She was a former resident of Ragland and Pell City. She had lived in Tuscaloosa for the past five years. She had been a member of Arbor Baptist Church since 1954. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ayers; her parents, Henry Clay Smith and Myrtle Gambrell Smith; four sisters, Virginia Isbell, Henry Ette Masters, Mary Pack and Linda Sims; and three brothers, John Smith, Lloyd Smith and Tom Smith.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Hunt of Wellington; three sisters, Martha Lonergan of Pell City, Annie Roe and Myrtle Roe of Cropwell; one grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

ZIMMA BRONCATI

TALLADEGA — Zimma Broncati died March 18 at Talladega Health Care Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Usrey Funeral Home.

DEBBIE CRAVEN

MARIETTA, Ga. — Funeral service for Debbie Craven, 45, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. L.C. Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Craven died March 17 in Austell, Ga. She was a native of Fulton County, Ga., and was the daughter of Pervis S. and Ann Craven of Marietta, Ga.

She is survived by one brother, Mike Craven of Marietta, Ga.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and until one hour before the service.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville will direct the service.

LULA BELL NORMAN DAYS

ROCKFORD — Funeral service for Lula Bell Norman Days, 62, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Rockford with the Rev. Standford Benson officiating. Burial will be in Rockford Cemetery.

Mrs. Days died March 15 at Goodwater Nursing Home.

She is survived by two brothers, Walter Norman of Columbus, Ga., and Henry Norman of East Orange, N.J.; two sisters, Genie McKinney of Goodwater and Mary Bunch of Coletain, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.

EMMA GRACE GABLE

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for infant Emma Grace Gable will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Midway Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ottis Graves and the Rev. David Kearley officiating.

The infant died March 16 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham.

She is survived by her parents, Reginald and Ellen Janie Gable of Talladega; one sister, Kaleigh Elizabeth Gable of Talladega; one brother, Jackson Turner Gable of Talladega; her grandparents, Roy and Minnie Gable of Talladega and Joan Hill of Talladega; and her great-grandmother, Dessie Graves of Talladega.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.
