ROBBIE T. FRAZIER

VINCENT — Funeral service for Robbie T. Frazier, 85, will be Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cropwell with the Rev. Maurice Keller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Frazier died Nov. 22 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native and lifelong resident of Vincent, was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served as president of the usher board, senior choir and missionary society. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Willie Robert "Buddy" Frazier; one son, Leon Frazier; one daughter, Lavonia Ayers; two grandsons, Steven Michael Frazier and Samuel Hubert Frazier Jr.; three brothers, David Threatt, Lindsey Threatt and Hasker Threat; two sisters, Sarah Martin and Velma Threatt.

She is survived by sons, Robert G. Frazier of Schenectady, N.Y., Elder Willie F. Frazier of Childersburg and Samuel H. Frazier of Schenectady, N.Y.; daughters, Mary D. Thomas of Gadsden and Doris A. Fomby of Vincent; sisters, Annie O’Neal of Cropwell and Tinnie Green of Cropwell; brother, Singleton Threatt of Detroit, Mich.; 24 grandchildren; 42+ great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Leonard Brock, Gary Frazier, Michael E. Frazier, Daniel Thomas, Donzell Frazier, Michael F. Frazier, Lamar Frazier and Cleaton Frazier.

Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.

WILLIAM EDWARD MALLORY

ALPINE — Funeral service for William Edward Mallory, 73, of 30 Shady Lane, will be Friday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at New Maryland Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Threatt officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Mallory died Nov. 22 at Citizens BMC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Mallory Sr. and Carolyn Long Mallory; and two brothers, George Mallory and Louis Mallory Jr. He graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School and attended Alabama A&M University. He was a former member of Mt. Zion Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where he was a steward. He was presently a member of New Maryland Baptist Church where he was a member of the deacon board. He retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation after 37 years of service and was a member of the Alpine Hunting Club. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1954.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Garrett Mallory of Alpine; daughters, Joycelyn Evans of Sylacauga, Rena E. Pitts of Baltimore, Md., and Robin Finley of Talladega; sons, Larry Hamilton of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Michael Pitts of Alpharetta, Ga., Reginald E. Mallory of Alpine and Darryl M. Mallory of Alpine; sisters, Ruth Chatman of Birmingham, Rosa Lewis of Knoxville, Tenn., and Janie Sawyer of Childersburg; brothers, Clifton Mallory, Charles Mallory and Harrison Mallory of Childersburg; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday after 1 p.m.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

MILTON SWAIN JR.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Funeral service for Milton Swain Jr., 65, will be Friday, Nov. 26, at noon at Kingston Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Kingston Cemetery.

Mr. Swain died Nov. 19 at Sister Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. He attending Nottingham School and Phyllis Wheatley High School. He joined Kingston Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until relocating to Buffalo, N.Y. He was employed by Pratt Electrical Company and retired from Westvaco in Buffalo.

He is survived by daughters, Tina Pennymon and Michelle Calhoun of Buffalo, N.Y.; sons, Darin Swain of Oakland, Calif., and Timothy Swain and Wilton Pennymon of Buffalo, N.Y.; his mother, Mae Etta Swain of Alpine; sisters, Margaret Jackson and Lizzie Jones of Buffalo, N.Y., Lue Thompson and Ruby Keith of Alpine and Georgia Swain of Roanoke; brothers, Sam Swain and Henry Swain of Buffalo, N.Y., and Willie J. Swain of Alpine; and 21 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday after 1 p.m.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.

MACIE BANDEL

CHILDERSBURG — Funeral service for Macie Bandel, 93, will be Saturday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with Dr. John Beck officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Mount Cemetery in Jemison.

Mrs. Bandel died Nov. 23 at Coosa Valley BMC. She was a native of Chilton County, Jemison. She traveled to Albuquerque, N.M. to live for several years and returned to her home and family in Childersburg. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Childersburg, was a devout Christian and she loved her church and her church family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Luke Monroe; her mother, Mary Alice Northcutt Avery; her five brothers, Cecil Avery, Milie (Jack) Avery, Floyd Avery, Robert Avery and Dudley Avery; her three sisters, Icie Williams, Lillie Mae Adams and Marie Grace Brown; her husband, Ray T. Bandel; three children, Susie James, Betty Joyce Lewis and Clarence W. Middlebrooks; and one grandchild, Gerald W. Middlebrooks.

She is survived by son, Danielle Ray Bandel and wife Jayne of New Jersey; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clarence W. Middlebrooks of Moody; sister, Mary Ann Littleton of Childersburg; grandchildren, Beverly James, Carol Gulledge, David James, Gregg James, Ron James, Margaret Hamilton, Jerry Lewis, Steve Lewis, Vicki Weaver, Jeff Middlebrooks, Anita Barrett, Miranda Bandel, Patrick O’Hearn, Katie O’Hearn and Rhiley Bandel; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:30 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Drew Ramsey, Ron James, Bobby Avery, Donnie Avery, Roger Littleton and Herman Maddox.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.

JOHN WESLEY CURRY

SYLACAUGA — John Wesley Curry, 70, died Nov. 24 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home.

CATHERINE DAVIS HYATT

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Catherine Davis Hyatt, 87, will be Friday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ivan Fuller officiating.

Mrs. Hyatt died Nov. 24 at Citizens BMC. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega and was a member of Talladega Creek Baptist Church where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class. She had worked at Bemiston Bag Company, Wehadkee and Bockmon Upbridge. After retirement, she spent her time raising her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin A. (Pete) Hyatt; her parents, Mae and Edgar Davis; and grandson, Huey Davis.

She is survived by daughters, Robin Irvin and husband Ray and Elayne Dean and husband Ronnie, all of Talladega and Becky Watts and husband Bobby of Ashland; son, the Rev. Clarence Davis and wife Doris of Talladega; sisters, Mary Frances Davis of Birmingham and Juanita Pope and husband Thomas Edsel of Pell City; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Arlin Brannon, Clarence E. Haynes and Bill Perry.

Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.

CLAUDE DENTON JACOBS SR.

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Claude Denton Jacobs Sr., 78, will be Friday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home South chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Mr. Jacobs died Nov. 23 at his residence. He was the former owner/operator of Claude Sign and Rainbow Ice Cream. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He was originally from the Parkdale Community.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes T. Jacobs of Sylacauga; sons, Claude Jacobs Jr. of Hanover and Butch Jacobs of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Sherrie Jacobs, Chris Jacobs, Reese Jacobs, Hollie Jacobs and Logan Jacobs; and great-grandchildren, Krista Jacobs, Tyler Jacobs, Kourtney Jacobs and Landon Jacobs.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel will direct the service.

BILLY JOE JONES

PELL CITY — Funeral service for Billy Joe Jones, 35, will be Saturday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Pell City. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jones died Nov. 24 in Birmingham.

He is survived by his father, Frank Jones of Coal City; sister, Doris Jones of Coal City; brothers, Jeff Campbell (Joan) of Coal City and Joey Jones of Coal City; his grandmother, Carm L. Jones of Pell City; and one nephew.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

EUGENE TAYLOR

GOODWATER — Funeral service for Eugene Taylor, 84, will be Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Goodwater with the Rev. Thelma Lauderdale officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Taylor died Nov. 22 at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 2, 1920 in Alabama. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabell Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. Taylor of Goodwater; daughters, Gertie M. Oliver of Sylacauga, Bessie Norris of Goodwater and Patricia Norris of Goodwater; sons, Thomas Taylor and Charlie Taylor of Goodwater; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

Armour’s Memorial Funeral Home will direct the service.

ROBERT LEE WOOD

LINEVILLE — Funeral service for Robert Lee Wood, 95, will be Friday, Nov. 26, at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Lineville with Michael Strong officiating. Burial will be in Lineville Community Cemetery.

Mr. Wood died Nov. 21 at Clay County Hospital in Ashland. He was a lifelong resident of Clay County and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Wood; three children, Johnny Frank Wood, James Tatum and Barbara Ann McClain; and sister, Vera Domain.

He is survived by sons, Harvey Wood of Lineville and Elijah Wood of Anniston; 23 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Rest In Peace Funeral Service will direct the service.
