Bolt

ROANOKE — Funeral services for Mr. Loyd Bolt of Roanoke, age 81, will be Monday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at High Pine Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Griffith and Benny Satterwhite officiating. Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. today. Mr. Bolt died Saturday, April 23, at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Tidwell of Roanoke; two grandsons; two sisters, Mavis Pike and Clois Towler both of Roanoke; one brother, R. C. Bolt of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Pallbearers will be Howard Bailey, Manley Clack, Herbert Denham, Patrick Awbrey, Mark M. Awbrey and Jonathan Deason. Mr. Bolt was born August 14, 1923, son of Lee and Nina Wilder Bolt. He was a member and a deacon of High Pine Baptist Church and a card fixer for Handley Mills and Amoco Fabrics and Fivers. Mr. Bolt was preceded in death by his wife, Lera Garrett Bolt, a brother, Charlie Bolt, and his parents.

Brady

GOLDEN SPRINGS — Services for Tanya Brady, 35, will be announced by Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Brady died Saturday at Regional Medical Center. Miller Funeral Home is in charge.

Caver

ANNISTON — Services for Dr. Helen Bush Caver, 69, of Anniston will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home. Dr. Caver died Friday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston.

Cook

ALPINE — Funeral services for Mr. Harold L. Cook, 72, of Alpine will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary. Mr. Cook died Saturday at Veteran's Affairs Hospital.

Hodges

ROANOKE — Funeral services for Mr. James Gordon "Pee Wee" Hodges of Roanoke, age 85, will be Monday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Alan Hurst and Dr. Charles F. McCook officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood cemetery with Quattlebuam Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m. on April 25. Mr. Hodges died Friday, April 22, at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include special friends Alan and Brenda Hurst. Mr. Hodges was born October 17, 1919, son of Howell P. and Magie Woodall Hodges. He was a member of the North Main Christian Church, a retired shipping clerk for Palm Beach and an avid train enthusiast. Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his wife, Brooksie Neal Hodges.

Hughes

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Jessica H. Hughes, 22, of Anniston will be Monday, April 25, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Talladega County. Visitation will be this evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Miss Hughes died Friday in Oxford.

Survivors include her daughter, Makayla Barker; her mother Patsy Hughes of Anniston; two brothers, Phillip Hughes and Shane Hughes. Miss Hughes was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a graduate of Wellborn High School. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Hughes.

Jenkins

TALLADEGA — Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Jenkins, 60, of Talladega will be Monday, April 25, at 1 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church in Talladega, with Elder Gregory Turner officiating. Burial will be in Lane Chapel CME Church Cemetery, with Goodson Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the services. There will be no public viewing. Mrs. Jenkins died Tuesday, April 19, at her residence in Talladega.

Survivors include two sons: David Jenkins and wife, DeAnna of Portsmouth, Va., Tony Jenkins of Charleston, S.C.; three daughters: Cindy Jenkins, Cynthia Turner and husband, Greg both of Talladega, Lisa Jenkins of Smyrna, Ga.; a sister: Betty Johnson of Kansas City, Kan. and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Albion, Mich. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Washington, her mother, Rosetta Johnson, a brother, Bobby Couvillion, a sister, Jacqueline Couvillion and her husband, David Jenkins, Sr.

Nabors

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Susan Holt Herring Nabors, age 94, of Talladega will be today at 3 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Talladega, with the Rev. Richard Castleberry officiating and Talladega Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Nabors died Saturday at Talladega Nursing Home.

Survivors include a son, Charles E. Nabors and his wife, Shirley of Talladega; a sister, Dorothy Herring Reaves of Talladega, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Kiah Phillips, Tommy Davis, Billy Dan Nabors, Buddy Capps, Frank Canada and Bob Nunn. Mrs. Nabors was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega, where she was a member of the Talladega First Baptist Church. She was a former longtime dietician for the Talladega School for the Blind and later retired as a bookkeeper. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Nabors, a daughter, Barbara Nabors Fannin, and a son, Robert "Bobby" Nabors. The family will accept flowers or memorials can be made the Talladega First Baptist Church or to a favorite charity.

Pope

ANNISTON — Services for Mrs. Susie B. Pope, 88, will be announced by Ervin Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Pope died Friday at Regional Medical Center. Ervin Funeral Chapel is in charge of services.

Royster

JACKSONVILLE — Graveside services for Mr. Dale Royster, age 66, of Jacksonville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Jacksonville City Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-6 this evening at Gray Brown Service Mortuary and Crematory. Mr. Royster died Friday in Jacksonville.

Survivors include: his wife, Jerry Ann Royster of Jacksonville; two sons: Chris Royster of Alexandria, Randy Royster and wife, Patricia of Gulf Port, Miss.; two daughters: Alaine Cherry and husband, Rob Sr. of Jacksonville, Donna Phillips and husband Danny of Weaver; five grandchildren: Mandy Wooten, Rob Cherry Jr., Reese Royster, Rhett Royster, Ashley Hutchens; two brothers; James M. Royster and wife Linda, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Donald Lee Royster of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters: Sarah Camp and Janette Fisher both of Jacksonville. Mr. Royster was a native and resident of Calhoun County, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retired from AOD and a devoted husband, father and Christian.

Tyler

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Constalle (Connie) Tyler, 69, will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Brady

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Tanya Brady, age 35, of Anniston will be 11 a.m., Tuesday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Elbert Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Brady died Saturday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, John T. Brady; three children, Jonathan Brady, Christopher Brady and Stephany Brady. Her parents Donald and the Reva Ford; a sister, Lisa Nanna, her grandmother, Ann Dill and grandfather, E. W. Ford; a niece, Casey Nanna, her nephew, Nick Nanna and several aunt and uncles also survive Mrs. Brady.

Pallbearers will be Dino Nanna, Scott Greenwood, Michael Brimer, Jereme Brimer, Curtis Fleming and Steve Corzine. Mrs. Brady was a lifelong resident of Anniston, a member of the Church of Christ, attending the Colvin Street Church of Christ.

Goldberg

SUNRISE, Fla. — Funeral services for Allen Goldberg, 68, of Sunrise, Fla. will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel in Hollywood, Fla. Entombment will be at Beth David Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Hollywood, Fla. Mr. Goldberg died Friday at Jacksonville Medical Center.

Survivors include spouse Jennifer Jean Goldberg of Jacksonville and Sunrise, Fla.; father, Sam Goldberg of Hollywood, Fla.; four step-daughters: Tanya Johnson of Tallahassee, Fla., Kelly McCord and her husband, Mike, Sheri Johnson and Teri Johnson all of Jacksonville; mother-in-law, Pauline Spears of Jacksonville; two sisters-in-law, Pat Gorey and Pepi Prescott of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Jimmy Spears; two step-grandchildren, Savannah McCord and Graham Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jacksonville Day Care Center, 620 Gardner Dr., Jacksonville, AL 36265.

Heining

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Sue Heining, 75, of Anniston, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Anniston Memorial Funeral Home 3865 US Hwy 431 North Anniston, AL 36206 820-0024

Laney

ANNISTON — Services for Mrs. Ruth Laney, age 80, of Anniston will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with the Rev. King officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m., Tuesday evening. Burial will be at Edgemont Cemetery. Mrs. Laney died Saturday in Anniston.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Adkins of Anniston; three grandchildren, Lonnie Payne, Zonna Franklin, Tahmarrah Summers; six great-grandchildren and several great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Laney was a native and resident of Calhoun County. She was a retire beautician and preceded in death by husbands Charles Payne and Chester Laney.

Nelson

MUNFORD — Graveside Rites for Ruby C. Nelson, 75, of Munford will be today at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega in charge. Ms. Nelson died Saturday.

Peters

JACKSONVILLE — Services for Catherine Peters, 75, will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services. Ms. Peters died Saturday, April 23, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Roberson

ANNISTON — Funeral services for Freddie James Roberson, age 56, will be at Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at 1 p.m. at Ervin Funeral Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Terry Bagley officiating. Mr. Roberson died April 18, 2005, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Roberson is survived by his mother: Katie Ware; his father: Shedrick Roberson; two sons: Travis Roberson and Blanc Roberson; daughter: Donna Roberson; two sisters: Katie Abdul-Raheem and Velma Ware; three brothers: Gary Brown, Sam Baker and Robert Ware. Mr. Roberson was a resident of Anniston and a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School Class of 1968. He retired from United Defense after 26 years of loyal service as a Foundry Worker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae Roberson and a brother, Cleve Ware, Jr.

Roper

ANNISTON — Services for Alia Roper, 17 months, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services. The toddler died Friday, April 22, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Rouse

MUNFORD — Funeral services for Mrs. Zera Rouse, 81, of Munford will be announced. Mrs. Rouse died Sunday at Citizens Baptist Hospital in Talladega. Miller Funeral Home is in charge.

Stevens

ANNISTON — Services for Shirley Stevens, 51, will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service. Ms. Stevens died Friday, April 22, at RMC in Anniston. Anniston Funeral Service is in charge.

Tyler

SAKS — Funeral services for Connie Tyler, age 69, of Saks will be Tuesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Cheatwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Anniston Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Tyler died Saturday at Jacksonville Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters: Ryena Hargrove and Linda Liner, both of Anniston; a son: Dan Tyler of Anniston; four sisters: Dean Neyman, Ruth Whisenant, Pat Hudspeth and Cathy Webb; two brothers: J.C. Carter and Benny Carter; her grandchildren: Michelle Tyler, Johnny Hargrove, Lee Hargrove, Christy Benetez, Shannon Arrowood and Tonya Harper; great grandchildren: Mason Munn, Shannon Hargrove, Dustin Johnson, Britney Arrowood, Samantha Arrowood, Jamie Harper, Quentin Harper and Brittney Harper.

Pallbearers will be Steve Chappell, Ronnie Chappell, Mike Stack, Jerry Stack, Eddie Reese and Mike Reese. Mrs. Tyler was a life long resident of Calhoun County and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Tyler was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Carter and Odessa Ball Carter; her husband, Daniel Tyler and a grandchild, Ashley Tyler.

Welch

WINDSOR, S.C. — Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Welch will be private. Mr. Welch, 66, of Windsor, S.C., died Saturday morning, April 23, 2005 at his home. Born in Richmond County, Ga., he was a son of the late Robert Deas Hollis and Ida Hazel Byrd Welch. A Vietnam veteran, Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired in May of 1981, obtaining the rank of E-6. His last duty station was Ft. McClellan where he was a drill sergeant. He was a Mason as well as a Shriner.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Mae Welch and sister, Billy Jean Bevill of Windsor, S.C.; cousins: Tommie L. Welch, Sr. of Windsor, S.C., Dale Knox and Bobby Boswell both of Hephziabah, Ga.; nephews: Tommie Welch, Jr. of Oakwood, SC, Michael Welch of Havelock, N.C., Daniel Welch of Windsor, S.C. and close friends, Wash Adams of Montgomery, Harris Clark of Anniston, Erik Kling of Aiken, S.C., Fred Attix of Windsor, S.C. and Joe Guilfoyle of Battle Creek, MI. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
