GOODWATER — Graveside service for Patricia A. Abrams, 55, of Goodwater will be Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. in Old Weogufka Cemetery
with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating.
Mrs. Abrams died Feb. 5 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Abrams of Goodwater; three sons, David Mayo of Sylacauga, Tim Mayo of Sylacauga and Chris Mayo of New Boston, Texas; one sister, Loretta May of New Orleans; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

LAWRENCE EDWARD McCLUNEY
SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Lawrence Edward McCluney, 49, formerly of Lincoln, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Joseph Stafford Rowser Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
Mr. McCluney died Feb. 1 at Brookwood Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell McCluney Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Annie Louise McCluney of Lincoln; one sister, Loretta Tinsley of Sylacauga; seven brothers, Brutus McCluney and Mark McCluney of Lincoln, Lee McCluney of Arkansas, Earl McCluney of New York, Richard McCluney of Killeen, Texas, Jason McCluney of Ragland and Lowell McCluney Jr. of Georgia; three stepchildren and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be David Carmichael, Darryl Wills, Herbert Wills, Sylvester Wills, Gene McCluney, Demetrius McCluney and Milton Ragland.
The body will be at the funeral home throughout the service.
Sims Funeral Home will direct the service.

GOODWATER — Funeral service for Ocie Stone, 80, of Sylacauga will be Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Greg Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery
in Goodwater.
Mr. Stone died Feb. 5 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. A constable in Talladega County for more than 30 years, he was always willing to help anyone and was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merrill Stone; a daughter, Judy Stone; and two sisters, Odell Stone and Audrey Dawson.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Robinson of Childersburg; a son, Timothy Stone of Sylacauga; three brothers, Titus Stone of Alexander City, Buddy Stone of Alexander City and Joe Stone of Albertville; a sister, Daisy Mahan of Alexander City; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Allen Stone, Conner Stone, Cameron Stone, David Roland, Fred Robinson, and Jason Robinson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m.

RACHEL BURSON
PELL CITY — Funeral service for Rachel Burson, 68, of Ragland will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with Brother Keith Moore and Brother Bill Collins officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Burson died Feb. 5 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham. A member of Lister Memorial Baptist Church, she retired from the Jefferson County Board of Education with many years of service at Leeds Elementary School and Rudd Middle School.
She is survived by her husband, James Burson Sr. of Ragland; two sons, James Burson Jr. and wife Lori, of Leeds and Paul Burson and wife Julie, of North Shelby County; her mother, Nellie Johnson of Ragland; two brothers, Don Hollis and wife Joy of Eaton, Ga., and Wade Johnson and wife Renee of Chelsea; and one sister, Shelby Sharp and husband Bud of Montevallo.

MILDRED BUSSEY SMITH CAZALAS
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Mildred Bussey Smith Cazalas, 84, of Talladega was Monday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rick Cato officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cazalas died Feb. 5, at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Munford, was a Baptist by faith, and was owner and operator of Mildred’s Beauty Shop.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Fay Matson and husband Bill; two sons, Edgar Ray Spencer and wife Jean of Munford and James Clinton Spencer and wife Shirley of Sycamore; two sisters, Gay Langley of Munford and Gwendolyn Woodard of Talladega; four brothers, Howard Bussey, Dan Bussey and Gerald Bussey of Talladega and Carol Smith of Carrolton, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Roger Smelley, Randy Smelley, Wayne Popham, Richard Popham, Beth Pruitt, Kim Clark, Tony Spencer, Phyllis Hubbard, Rhonda Sanders and Stefanie Knight; 15 great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tony Spencer, Roger Smelley, Randy Smelley, Richard Popham, Walt Sanders and Jimmy Knight. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.

EDKER LEE FISHER
TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Edker Lee Fisher, 69, will be Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Harold Hazel and the Rev. Penny Drummon officiating.
Mr. Fisher died Feb. 6 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He was a native of Talladega and a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mattie Fisher; and four brothers, Raymond Fisher, Joe Fisher, George Fisher and Tommy Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Fisher of Talladega; and three brothers, Frank Fisher of Sarasota, Fla., Dan Fisher of Lincoln and Johnny Fisher of Sarasota, Fla.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JIM SHACK GAY
ASHLAND — Funeral service for Jim Shack Gay, 95, of Ashland will be Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home chapel in Ashland with the Rev. David Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashland City Cemetery.
Mr. Gay died Feb. 7 at Clay County Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, he was a retired salesman at Sylacauga Wholesale Grocery and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mayo McClendon Gay, and one daughter, Gloria Gene Gay McDonald.
He is survived by his sister, Katherine Gay Roberts of Ashland; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be great-grandchildren Josh McDonald, Darrell McDonald, Wesley McDonald, Corey McDonald, Mitchell Ennis and Henry Ennis, and great-great-grandson Elijah Drew McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Clay County Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Ashland.

DIXONS MILLS — Funeral service for Bennie B. Golden, 55, of Linden, formerly of Sylacauga, will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Funeral Home chapel in Thomasville with the Rev. K.R. Dunn and the Rev. Mark Simon officiating. Burial will follow in Dunning Cemetery
in Dixons Mills.
Mrs. Linden died Feb. 5 at her home. A native of Sylacauga, she was a homemaker and a member of Thomasville Assembly of God.
She is survived by her husband, Buford Aaron Golden of Linden; two sons, Buford Aaron Golden II of Demopolis and Bennett Dale Golden of Shiloh; and four grandchildren, Buford Aaron "Trey" Golden III, Anna Katheryn Golden, Bennett Daniel Golden and Kaylie Grace Golden.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Thomasville Assembly of God or the Dunning Cemetery

PELL CITY — Funeral service for Ruth Ellen Manning, 78, of Pell City will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Manning died Feb. 6. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Manning.
She is survived by her life partner, Bradford Smith; her sister, Mary Lou Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

RAGLAND — Funeral service for Raymond Frank O’Donnell, 87, of Ragland will be Tuesday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Revs. Curtis Fuller and Marlin Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Ragland Methodist Cemetery.
Mr. O’Donnell died Feb. 6. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Estelle O’Donnell; and brothers, J.B. O’Donnell, Oliver Cecil O’Donnell, Chester Australia O’Donnell and Herbert Curtis O’Donnell.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby O’Donnell; three daughters, Patsy Inez Cathers, Brenda Sue Anderson and Stacey Lynette Smith; son, Willie James Davis Jr.; four sisters, Roxie Emma Jean Kay, Martha Ann Josephine Kay, Tressie Martel Muir and Stella Odessia Cox; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Muir, Larry Muir, Greg Cox, Quinn Anderson, Ryan Anderson and Michael Cathers.
