PRESLEY

Anniston — Funeral services for Mrs. Ina Beatrice Presley, age 84, will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Davistown Baptist Church with the Bro. Randy Hampton officiating. Visitation will be at Chapel Hill Funeral Home from at 6-8 p.m. this evening. Interment will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Section, Ala. Mrs. Presley passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006 in Anniston.

Mrs. Presley is survived by her son, James Presley, of Talladega; seven grand-children, Samantha Smith, Natalie Dodson, Summer Roberts, Kimberly Johnson, Jamie Presley, Jon Adrian Presley, Angela Presley; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Violet Robbins, of Section. She was preceded in death by her husband, Echols Presley; twin infant daughters; two sons, Nathen Presley and Ronnie Presley; parents, Jim and Lula Olinger; and six brothers.

Pallbearers will be Bill Smith, Wade Dodson, Ronnie Johnson, Jamie Presley, Anthony Robbins, Billy Robbins, Tommy Olinger and Pat Haynes. Mrs. Presley was a native of Jackson County and resident of Anniston. She was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church.

WAGONER

Jacksonville — Services for Mr. L. Dell Wagoner, 61, of Jacksonville, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jim Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Wagoner died Saturday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Jo Wagoner, of Jacksonville; three sons, Joseph Dell Wagoner, Donald Lee Wagoner, Sr. and his wife Carla, all of Jacksonville, and Wendell Walker Wagoner and his wife, Kimberly, of Delta; ten grandchildren, Brittney Hallmark, Melanie Wagoner, Courtney Wagoner, Angela Wagoner, Dell Wagoner, II, Corrie Wagoner, Donnielle Wagoner, Chris Wagoner, Don Wagoner, Jr., and Donald Wagoner; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Wagoner, Edward Wagoner and Gary Wagoner; four sisters, Gloria "Gayle" Wagoner, Joy Young, Karen "Kay" Wittker and Mary Wagoner Bell; many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donald L. Wagoner, Sr., Joseph D. Wagoner, Donnie Wagoner, Dell Wagoner, II, Scotty Christopher and Pat Murphy. Honorary pallbearer will be Wendell Walker Wagoner. Mr. Wagoner was a native of Anniston and a resident of Jacksonville for the past nine years. He graduated from Anniston High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.

WILSON

Anniston — Memorial service for Cody James Wilson, 15, of Anniston will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Word Alive with Pastors Kent Mattox, Koy Brooks, and Shane Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 3 p.m., until service time at the church. Anniston Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Cody died Saturday, January 21, 2006 in Anniston.

Survivors include his father, Jimmy Wilson and his fiance', Belinda Carr, of Mobile; his mother, Teresa Wilson, of Anniston; sister, Megan Wilson; brother, Gabriel Starr and many aunts, uncles and cousins. GARRETT

Jacksonville — Memorial Services for Mrs. Gloria Gay Kilgore Garrett, formerly of Blue Mountain, Ala. will at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2006, at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Garrett passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Jacksonville, Ala.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Garrett of Jacksonville, Ala.; a sister, Frankie Inez Gautney of Anniston, Ala.; a brother, George Franklin "Butch" Kilgore of Anniston, Ala.; three nieces; eight nephews; eleven great nieces; nine great nephews; sixteen great great nieces; twelve great great nephews and several cousins. Mrs. Garrett was a native of Anniston, Ala. She was retired from Dairy Queen and a lifelong member of Leighton Hill Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to National Kidney Foundation of Alabama, 562 Clay Street, Montgomery, Ala. 36104. Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel is handling the arrangements.

GLEASON

White Plains — Mrs. Diane Gleason died at her home on Monday, March 13, 2006 after battling colon cancer for over a year. Due to Mrs. Gleason donating her body to UAB research there will not be a burial, services will be at a later date in Lexington, Neb. Mrs. Gleason was born on June 7, 1945 daughter of the later Juanita Bourbon and Jessie Bourbon. She married husband Donald Gleason on June 30, 1961. The family moved throughout Nebraska and Colorado before retiring in Bonne Terre, MO. Mrs. Gleason joined her daughter in White Plains one year ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gleason and her brother, James C. Bourbon. Mrs. Gleason is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mark and Angie Gleason of Montgomery, Ill; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Erskin Thornburg, of White Plains, Ala.; grandsons Christopher Gleason, of Lexington, Neb., Jacob Gleason and Levi Gleason; granddaughters Megan Thornburg and Rebecca Gleason; sister Linda Wolfe of Gothenburg, Neb; brother De Lynn Bourbon of MO; father Jessie Bourbon of Festus, MO and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

HAMMETT

Anniston — Funeral services for the Rev. James Marcus Hammett, age 64, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2006 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Abernathy and Billy Mack Quick officiating. Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening, March 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Hammett passed away Monday, March 14, at NEARMC.

The Rev. Hammett is survived by his wife, Elaine Hammett of Anniston; daughter, Amanda Gail Cromer of White Plains; son, James Neal Hammett of Anniston; brothers, Billy Hammett of Anniston and Curtis Hammett of White Plains; six grandchildren, Lori, Jami, Jay, and Blake Hammett, Colton and Cailee Cromer; ten nieces and ten nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hammett, Rickey Pressley, Troyce Free, Jason Rowland, Heath Mayfield, Chris Hammett, Jason Hammett and Brett Pressley. the Rev. Hammett is preceded in death by his parents, Euel and Flonnie Hammett, son, Eddie Lee Hammett, brother, Harold Wayne Hammett, two sisters, Shirley Herron and Francis Mayfield. the Rev. Hammett is a native of Cherokee County and resident of Calhoun County most of his life. He was a former employee with Lee Brass and a member of First Congregational Full Gospel Church of Anniston.

KEY

Wedowee — Funeral services for Mr. Harold B. Key, age 79, of Wedowee, will be at today, March 16, 2006 at 12 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Abernathy and the Rev. Basil Key officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Key is survived by his wife, Jeanne Hill of Wedowee; one daughter -in-law, Kay Key of Oxford; four sisters, Mora Humphries of Lineville, Ethel Bean and Betty Hendrix both of Huntsville, Naomi Hill of Wedowee; one brother, Basil Key of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Loyd Craft, Billy Brewer, Sid Nelson, Jeffery Smith, Larry Wilson and William Humphries. Mr. Key was born December 23, 1926 the son of William and Weda East Key. He was of the Congregational Methodist Faith, and owned Key's Plating. Mr. Key was preceded in death by one son, Wendell Key. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to your favorite charity.

KIRBY

Anniston — Funeral services for Emma Jean Goodman Kirby, 56, of Anniston, Ala. will be announced by Ervin Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Kirby died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at her residence.

LINDSEY

Anniston — Funeral services for R.C. Lindsey, 73, of Anniston, Ala. will be announced by Anniston Funeral Services. Mr. Lindsey died Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at his residence.

MEEKER

Wedowee — Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline "Essie" Braden Meeker, age 94, of Wedowee, Ala. will be Friday March 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Home Chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Braden Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Meeker passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in Woodland. She was a native of Randolph County where she lived most of her life, was a homemaker and had been a health nurse in Cleburne County for over 25 years and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Noma Carol Meeker of Golden Springs; grand daughter, Kara Noma Nelson of Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd R. Meeker; three sisters, Noma Braden, Lorene Traylor, Hattie Morrison, five brothers, Early Braden, Gilbert L. Braden, Humprey Braden, Gay Braden and H.O. Braden. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday, March 17, 2006. BENEFIELD FUNERAL HOME OF LINEVILLE IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANEMENTS.

SIDERS

Jacksonville — Funeral Service for Jessie L. Siders Sr, 84, of Jacksonville, will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Roosevelt Parker officiating. Burial will be Jacksonville City cemetery with Goodson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends an hour before service at the church. Mr. Siders died Saturday March 11, 2006 at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Siders; three sons, the Rev. David Siders, Levell Siders, Jessie Siders, Jr.; three daughter, Terina Siders, Yolanda Siders, Gwendolyn Siders; twenty-five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Sarah Siders, four brothers, Alphonso, Willie, Adam, Oliver and two sisters, Allene Hines, Stestlla Seward.

Wedowee — Funeral services for Katy Whaley, 65, will be at 4 p.m. today from Benefield Funeral Chapel. Visitation from 2-4 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Benefield Funeral Home.

BLAIR

Lincoln — Funeral services for Grady Niles Blair, 70, of Lincoln, Ala. will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Winford Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Mr. Blair died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Blair, of Lincoln, Ala.; four daughters, Margie Scoggins, of Kernersville, N.C., Angela Blair, of Anniston, Ala., Julie Ford, of Oxford and Alisa Arnold and husband, Wayne, of Oxford; one son, Frank Wyville and wife, Patricia, of Saks; brother Ronnie Blair, of Anderson, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jamie ford, Bobbie Stearns, Brian Stovers, Joey Cooper, Curtis Kirk, Randy Clayburn, Lamar Crosson, Joe Ray Atkinson, Buford Crosson and Raymond Ham. Mr. Blair was a native of Anderson, S.C., but had been a resident of Lincoln for 28 years. He retired from Union Foundry and was a Baptist. Special "Thank You" to caregivers, Angela Blair and Charlotte Blair and to Wiregrass Hospice, Stringfellow Hospital and Dr. DiValentin.

COLEY

Munford — Funeral services for Mr. Robert I. "Bobby" Coley, 73, of Munford will be today, March 20, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory with the Rev. Curtis Collett and the Rev. Mike Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at Salt Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Coley died Saturday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include, his wife of 49 years, Jeanie Coley; one son, Tony Coley and his wife, Lea Ann, of Munford; one daughter, Cathy Coley, of Munford; two grandchildren, Mandi R. Kessler and her husband, Mike, of Louisville, Ky. and Anthony Scott Coley, of Munford; and one brother, Harell "Buddy" Coley and his wife, Donna, of Munford.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Coley, Scott Coley, Adam Haynes, Chuck Propst, Wayne Grizzard, and Harold Collett. Mr. Coley was a native of Talladega County and a life long resident of Munford. He retired from Anniston Sportswear and was employed at the Oxford Parks and Recreational Department. Mr. Coley was also a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church.

COLLINS

Anniston — Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Collins, 43, will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home. Mrs. Collins died Saturday at Gadsden RMC. www.goodsonfuneralhome.com

DEGNER

Oxford — Funeral services for Mr. James Warren Degner, 69, of Oxford will be Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Oxford with the Revs. Gary Rivers and J.D. Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Degner passed away Saturday at NEARMC. Survivors are his wife, Myrna H. Degner, of Oxford; two daughters, Anne Ulrey, of Oxford and Janie Frazier, of Moody; one brother, Carl Degner, of New York; three sisters, Lois Schug, Carol Dutcher, and Beverly Heimann, all of Wisconsin; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Baughn, Morris Boatman, Robert O’Neal, Mike Thomas, Bobby Whatley, and Larry Willingham. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Guy’s Guy’s Sunday School Class of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Mr. Degner was an Oxford resident for the past 45 years where he was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He served in the US Army and as a volunteer at NEARMC after his retirement from Monsanto Corp. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society. FORSYTH

Anniston — Private memorial services for Everett Eugene Forsyth, 59, of Anniston will be at for family members with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing services. Mr. Forsyth died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham.

He is survived by two daughters, Rachael F. Kay, Holiday, Fla., and Denise Forsyth, Columbus, Ga.; three sisters, Patricia F. Bryant, Anniston, Ramona F. Third, Titusville, Fla., and Jeanie D. Simpson, Melbourne, Fla.; three brothers, Richard Forsyth, Milwaukee, Wis., Ronald Forsyth, Jacksonville, and Steven Dotson, Weaver; step father, Gene Dotson, Anniston as well as four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and his companion, Patsy Willingham Forsyth.

He was preceded in death by Clydell Evans Forsyth Dotson and Alvin Eugene Forsyth. Mr. Forsyth was an Anniston native and resided in Anniston most of his life. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. He was Baptist by faith and loved fishing and gardening.
