Flossie Mae Blount, 95, a native of Missouri and a resident of Wagarville, died Feb. 18, 2005. Survivors include one daughter, Freda Ramsey of Wagarville; one grandson; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Feb. 20, 2005 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. James Beech officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Jackson.

John Nelson
John Theophilus “J.T.” Nelson, 86, a native of Fairford and a resident of Mobile, died Feb. 23, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nelson; two sons, William Burk of Grand Bay and Donnie Nelson of Great Falls, Mont.; two daughters, Pearline Burke and Bonnie Thomas, both of Chickasaw; and two sisters, Helen Willingham of Theodore and Isabelle Warren of Madisonville, Tex. Graveside services were held Feb. 26, 2005 in Liberty Cemetery with Rev. David Shirley officiating. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Bo Lambert Heubert Gregory “Bo” Lambert, 73, a native and resident of Citronelle, died Feb. 23, 3005. Survivors include his wife, Martha F. Lambert of Citronelle; two sons, Ronnie Lambert of Chatom and Michael Janik of Citronelle; three daughters, Cindy Hill of Fellowship, Rebecca Knight of Westmoreland, Tenn. and Shannon Davidson of McIntosh; one brother, Horace Lambert of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; one sister, Waudean Bell of Mobile; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services were held Feb. 26, 2005 at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Long, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Norma Day Norma Howard Day, a native of Washington County and a resident of Tibbie, died March 9, 2005 at Springhill Memorial Hospital. She was 80. She was a seamstress for most of her life. She is survived by one son, George (Janice) Day of Tibbie; two daughters, Jean Britton of Millry and Beverly Leblanc of Tibbie; four brothers, Burnie Howard, Simon Howard, Travis Howard, Theodore Howard, all of Tibbie; five sisters, Osceola Howard of Chatom, Dyscie Odom of Deer Park, Voncille Jeffers of Columbia, S.C., Shirley Clark, and Ida Geranis, both of Bay Minette; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were March 11, 2005 at Chalker Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Messer and Rev. Ernest Tucker officiating. Pallbearers were Ronnie Eubanks, John Beech, Dennis Howard, Jamie Howard, Rusty Taylor and Earl Hollingshead. Honorary pall bearers were Billy Duke Taylor, Glen Gardner, Charlie Howard, Donald Delmarter and Sherrill Parnell. Arrangements were provided under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home in St. Stephens.

Howard Weaver
Howard Lindsey Weaver, 58, a native and resident of McIntosh, died March 11, 2005. Survivors include three sons, Wayne Weaver of Citronelle, Joseph Weaver of Semmes and Christopher Weaver of McIntosh; two daughters, Debra Chestang and Sherry Reed of McIntosh; two brothers, Bennett Weaver and Leroy Weaver, both of McIntosh; two sisters, Laura Maddix of Wilmer and Addie Weaver of Mobile; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were March 14, 2005 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Weaver officiating. Burial followed in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Cherrie Rivers
Cherrie M. Rivers, 78, a native of Sims Chapel and a resident of Millry, died March 7, 2005. Survivors include one daughter, Sylvia Williams of Millry and three grandchildren. Services were March 10, 2005 at Rivers of Living Waters Church with Rev. Gallasneed Weaver officiating. Burial followed in Rivers Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Duggar Lofton
Duggar Arlington Lofton, Jr., 63, a native and resident of Citronelle, died March 7, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Alberta Lofton of Citronelle; two sons, Calvin Lofton of Chickasaw and Joseph Lofton of Citronelle; two daughters, Virginia Allen of Lucedale and Alpha Byrd of Citronelle; seven brothers, Marvin Lofton of Steingrube, Germany, Howard Byrd of Citronelle, Earnest Sullivan, Mack Byrd, Lem Byrd, Jeff Sullivan and John Byrd, all of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Jeanette Weaver of Mot. Vernon; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and three devoted relatives. Services were March 11, 2005 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Morton, Rev. Sonny Scarbrough, Rev. Travis Evans and Rev. James White officiating. Burial followed in Byrd Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Jasper Holston
Jasper “Bud” Holston, 79, a native of Millry and a resident of Montgomery, died March 7, 2005. Survivors include two sisters, Helon Tatum of Montgomery and Louise Moorer of Bessemer, Ala., and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services were March 9, 2005 in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom.

Bennett Allday
Bennett Allday, 71, a native of Hawthorn, and a resident of Semmes, died March 7, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Allday of Semmes; three sisters, Hazel Duncan of Canada, Marie Baxter of Loxley and Alla Mae Duke of Foley; two brothers, Ralph Bradford of Houston and Raymond Bradford of Dallas; many stepchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and other relatives. Services were March 10, 2005 at Radney Funeral Home with a graveside service and burial following in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland.

Dorothy Hillman
Dorothy Mae Hillman, 76, a native of Mississippi, and a resident of Jackson Health Care Facility, died March 20, 2005. She was a seamstress for many years. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Goldman of St. Stephens, Mary Louise Brock of Cullman; Elizabeth Ann Lewis of Richton, Miss.; one son, Charlie Leon Lewis of Petal, Miss.; one sister, Charlene McDaniel of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two brothers, B. C. McDonald of Sacramento, Cal. and Harry McDonald of Richton, Miss.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were March 22, 2005 at First Baptist Church in St. Stephens with Rev. Gary Patrick officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of St. Stephens Funeral Home in St. Stephens.

Rachel Connell
Rachel Ann Connell, 66, a native and resident of Citronelle, died March 17, 2005. Survivors include three brothers, Harvey Connell of Huntsville, Gardner Connell of Shreveport, La., Carl Connell of Conyers, Ga.; one sister, Ruthie Gresham of Gainesville, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. Services were March 19, 2005 at Citronelle United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Sheffield and Rev. Kevin Krist officiating. Burial followed in Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

William Hattenstein
William Rodney Hattenstein, 50, a native and resident of Citronelle, died March 5, 2005. Survivors include his parents, J. W. and June Hattenstein of Semmes; one son, Josh Hattenstein of Lucedale; a brother, Mike Hattenstein of Semmes; and a sister, Pam Croley of Semmes. Services were March 10, 2005 at Freeman Funeral Home with rev. Marcus Hobbs and Rev. David Albritton officiating. Burial followed in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Carol Ware
Carol L. Ware, 102, a life-long resident of Washington County, died March 7, 2005. Survivors include two great nieces and seven great nephews. Services were March 9, 2005 at Lathan Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom.

Levia Hartley
Levia Della Hartley, 80, a native and life-long resident of Fruitdale, died March 8, 2005. Survivors include four sons, James Hartley and Robert Hartley, both of Fruitdale, Samuel Hartley and Albert Hartley, both of State Line, Miss.; three daughters, Martha Wilkens of Huxford, Karen Ballard of Pensacola, Fla. and Tonya Anderson of Hobson; four sisters, Irene Watts of Chatom; Betty Dailey of Fruitdale, Sue Barnett of Petal and Sylvia Beech of Opelika; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services were March 10, 2005 at South Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial following in Grace Williams Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom.

Estelle Pope
Estelle Pope, 72, a native of Grove Hill and a resident of Calvert, died March 11, 2005. Survivors include her husband, Tee Vee Pope of Calvert; three daughters, Brenda Dueitt of Citronelle, Faye Grantham of Elba and Jean Johnson of Montgomery; four sons, Carl Bryant Pope of Calvert, David Stockman of Kentucky, Larry stockman of Connecticut and Jim Stockman of Arkansas; four brothers, Maynard Johnson of Brewton, Clifford Johnson of Brewton, Amos Johnson of Grove Hill and Johnny Johnson of Louisiana; two sisters, Margaret Patrick of Mobile and Della Simms of Birmingham; 22 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Services were March 14, 2005 at Lathan Funeral Home with burial following in Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.

Allan Ramey
Allan Webster Ramey, a native of Citronelle, and a resident of Grand Bay, died March 22, 2005 in a local hospital at the age of 43. Ramey was employed with Buford Tree Surgeons, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Betty Ramey and one brother, James Ramey. He is survived by his wife, Annette Ramey of Grand Bay; two children, Kristina Marie Ramey and Jamie Lee Ramey; the mother of his children, Rose Parnell, all of Citronelle; brothers and sisters, Billy Ramey, Kim Weaver, Debbie Hosford, Bobby Ramey and Mary Jane Holland, all of Citronelle, Jody Ramey of Robertsdale and Johnnie Faye Guy of Mobile. Services were March 25, 2005 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial following in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Charles Leo Malone
Charles Leo Malone, 73, a native of Gulfcrest and a resident of Citronelle, died April 1, 2005. Malone was retired from Malone Auto Sales in Citronelle and was a member of Gulfcrest Baptist Church. He also served in the Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Rodell Malone; one son, Charles Terry Malone; two daughters, Tammy (Guy) Tanner and Diana (Tommy) Ezell, all of Citronelle; two brothers, Hebert Malone of Gulf Shores and Shirley Malone of Citronelle; one sister, Jeanette Cabaniss of Bay Minette; and five grandchildren, Jessica Malone, C. T. Malone, Delaine Malone, Brandon Tanner and Lacon Tanner. Services were April 4, 2005 at Gulfcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Griffith officiating. Burial followed in Gulfcrest Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Todd Anderson
Todd Curtis Anderson, 21, a native and life-long resident of Jackson, died April 3, 2005. Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Mary McHaney Anderson of Jackson; three brothers, Austin and Paul Anderson, both of Jackson and Clint Anderson of Charleston, S.C.; two grandmothers, Lucille Anderson and Celeste Weaver, both of Jackson; one grandfather, Alton Weaver of Jackson; and nieces and nephews. Services were April 5, 2005 at First Assembly of God Church in Jackson. Burial followed in Trinity Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.

Charles Lott
Charles Lavern Lott, 81, a resident of Gulfcrest, passed away April 17, 2005 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Lott; three daughters, Patsy (Wayne) Blount of Gulfcrest, Martha (Bill) Thrower and Susan (Bill) Newberry, all of Citronelle; one brother, William Elwood Lott of Chickasaw; one sister, Mary Louise Powell of Saraland; seven grandchildren, Darrin (Wendy) Blount, Keith (Missy) Blount, Todd Blount, Jennifer (Brian) Graham, Brad (Amber) Thrower, Hayley Newberry and Brent Newberry; six great grandchildren, Megan, Andie, Morgan and McKenzie Blount, Lauren Kendall Graham and Dale Thrower; and many special nieces and nephews. Services were held April 19, 2005 at Gulfcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Griffith officiating. Burial followed in Gulfcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Darrin Blount, Keith Blount, Todd Blount, Brad Thrower, Brent Newberry and Brian Graham. Memorials may be made to the Gulfcrest Cemetery fund c/o Hazel Orso, 14060 Highway 45, Chunchula, AL 36521. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

James Morgan, Jr.
James Curtis Morgan, Jr., 67, a native of Coffeeville and a resident of Fairford, died April 18, 2005. Survivors include his wife, Ouida Morgan of McIntosh; two sons, James Morgan, III of Theodore and Kenneth Morgan of Satsuma; one daughter, Donna Morgan of Fairhope; two sisters, Betty Fowler of Grove Hill and Inez Beek of Daphne; his step-mother, Velma Woodard of Grove Hill; and two grandchildren. Services will be held April 21, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Robinson, Rev. Graham Tucker and Rev. Eddie Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle.

Vera Young
Vera Vinton Young, 84, a native of Cuba and a resident of Chunchula, died April 11, 2005. She was 84. Survivors include her husband, Ludlow Young of Chunchula; one son, Dennis Young of New Jersey; one daughter, Lorna Forbes of Atlanta; and four grandchildren. Services were April 18, 2005 in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland. Arrangements were provided under the direction of Gilmer’s Funeral Home in Mobile.
