TAYLOR NICOLE COGGIN

ATLANTA — Graveside service for Taylor Nicole Coggin will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Keith Pugh officiating.

The infant died Nov. 3.

She is survived by her parents, Casie and Mark Coggin; grandparents, Mark and Charlotte Coggin and Shannon Ganier and Tony Ganier; great-grandparents, Marvin and Elizabeth Foster, Dorothy Dean and Jamie and Bernie Wethers.

Ridouts Valley Chapel will direct the service.

LISA ANN DENNIS

SYLACAUGA — Funeral service for Lisa Ann “Sunshine” Dennis, 25, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ralph Cline and the Rev. Jimmy Dale Abrams officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Miss Dennis died Nov. 3 in Sylacauga. She was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God, an active participant in the Special Olympics, sang in the chorus at Alabama School for the Blind, and was a lunchroom volunteer at ASB. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Earl Dennis and Ben Lewis Dennis Jr.

She is survived by her parents, Ben Dennis Sr. and Judy Hensley Dennis of Sylacauga; and two brothers, Billy Dennis of Sycamore and Kenneth Dennis of Sylacauga.

Pallbearers will be Harold Brooks, Eddie Forbus, Fuzzy Ward, Charles Adkins, Howard Hill and Joe Owens.

Dr. Robert Gray and the Association for Retarded Citizens will be honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

ALEXANDER CITY — Michael Drake of Alexander City died Nov. 2.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wright’s Funeral Home.

MOZELLE FINCH

PELL CITY — Graveside service for Mozelle Finch, 88, was Monday in St. Clair Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Herman Cowan officiating.

Mrs. Finch died Nov. 2. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. L. Finch; a daughter, Dot Anderson; and a son, Rod Finch. She was a member of Eastern Star, a den mother for Boy Scouts in Leeds, and an honorary member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Jack Finch; and two daughters, Linda Finch and Shelia Bean.

Kilgroe Funeral Home directed the service.

TYRONE GOODEN

TALLADEGA — Tyrone Gooden, 21, died Nov. 3 at University Hospital in Birmingham.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.

HELEN MILAM KNIGHTEN

TALLADEGA — Helen Milam Knighten, 69, died Nov. 4 at University Hospital in Birmingham.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Usrey Funeral Home.

JOE DRATON LACKS

CHILDERSBURG — Joe Draton Lacks, 79, died Nov. 4 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel.

LOIS BRYANT LOONEY

ALEXANDER CITY — Funeral service for Lois B. Looney, 74, was Monday at Ray Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Smith, the Rev. Jerry Wheeles, and Dr. Albert Pike officiating. Burial was in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Looney died Nov. 2 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born in Coosa County, and graduated from Rockford High School in 1948. She attended South Highland Infirmary School of Nursing in Birmingham and served as a registered nurse and night supervisor at Sylacauga Hospital. She also served as director of in-service education at South Highlands Infirmary, director of nursing at Shelby Memorial Hospital in Pelham, and director of nursing at Wedowee Hospital.

She also worked at Russell Hospital until 1975, when she accepted a position at the Alexander City Area Vocational Center to begin the Health Occupation Program.

She was selected as the Alabama Nurse of the Year in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Floyd Looney Sr.; and a brother, Walter Lebron Bryant.

She is survived by one son, Thomas F. Looney Jr. of Alexander City; three daughters, Patricia Hamlet of Alexander City, Tonya Johnson of Hackneyville and Pamela Estes of Alexander City.

Radney Funeral Home directed the service.

ALMA HELEN MOORE

TALLADEGA — Graveside service for Alma Helen Moore, 82, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Limbaugh Chapel Cemetery with Cliff Goodwin officiating.

Mrs. Moore died Nov. 3 at Ashville Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Georgia, but had lived most of her life in Talladega County. She was a former employee of the Palm Beach Company.

She is survived by one daughter, Jane Pilkington and husband Anthony of Talladega; two grandchildren, Anthony Pilkington Jr. and Scott Allen Pilkington; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m.

Talladega Funeral Home will direct the service.

CHARLES THOMAS PERRY

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Visitation for Charles Thomas Perry, 51, will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. A private service was held earlier.

Mr. Perry died Oct. 25 in Panama City.

He is survived by his mother, Margie Pody; and his brother, Dr. John F. Perry of Birmingham.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.

BETTY JEAN WAITES PRICE

GOODWATER — Funeral service for Betty Jean Waites Price, 67, was Monday at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Ray Robinson officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Price died Nov. 2 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie T. Price of Goodwater; and her daughters, Martha E. Price of Sylacauga and Cheryl Price of Goodwater.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel directed the service.

WILLIE JAMES ROWE

NYACK, N.Y. — Willie James Rowe, 66, formerly of Hobson City, died Nov. 1 at Nyack Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary.

BERTIE WILLIAMSON

GRAY, Ga. — Graveside service for Bertie Williamson, 94, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega with the Rev. Billy Clyde Williams officiating.

Mrs. Williamson died Nov. 4 at Lynn Haven Nursing Home in Gray, Ga. She was born in Auburn, Ga., and lived in Conyers, Ga., for 30 years before moving to Gray, Ga., in 1991. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church and a past member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughters, Nadine Martin and husband Dwight of Walton County, Ga., and Bobbie Bailey and husband Bill of Monticello, Ga.; sisters, Reba Merrell, Margaret Johnson, Aline Hawthorne and Mary Hammonds of Alabama; Grandchildren, Ronnie Martin, Doug Bailey, and Darrell Bailey; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.
