Funeral for Lois Tuck Boyd, 77, of Harvest was Sunday, Dec. 12, at 2 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Sammy Brister officiating.
Burial was in Tuck Family Cemetery
with Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Boyd died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 21, 1927. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Boyd, and infant son, Phillip Wayne Boyd.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Boyd Vaughn of Harvest; a grandson, Robert "Bobby" Eugene Vaughn of Madison; and several nieces.
Pallbearers were Jason Brister, Jason Dupree, Bryant Raby, Tommy Sisk Jr., Steven Andrews and Hannes Ardal. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Harvest Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tuck Family Cemetery
or Harvest Baptist Church.
Nancy Thornton Womack Cooper

Funeral for Nancy Thornton Womack Cooper, 81, of Madison will be today, Friday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at Madison United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004. She was born March 16, 1923. She was a longtime resident of Madison and a member of Madison United Methodist Church, was retired from MICOM as a program analyst, and was a member of the Madison Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.B. Womack, and her son, Jackson Cooper Womack.
She is survived by her husband, Orval Cooper; two daughters, Pat Womack Edwards and Kathy Womack Williams, both of Madison; three stepchildren, Robert Cooper of Jacksonville, Fla., William Cooper and Bonita MacDonald, both of Huntsville; a brother, William G. Thornton of New Mexico; three sisters, Frances Bryant of Raleigh, N.C., Lorinda Williams of Hollywood, Fla., and Elizabeth Watkins of Warner Robins, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Mr. Archie Joe Robinson
Funeral Services for Mr. Archie Joe Robinson were held on October 21, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Jones Baptist Church in Emelle, Alabama. Place of burial was at the New Jones Churchyard Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson, 68, of Birmingham, Alabama, died Wednesday, October 11, 2000.
Survivor(s) include: one sister, Mrs. Amanda Foy.

ALICE AYLWARD HUNT
Funeral Services for Mrs. Alice Aylward Hunt were held Monday, October 23, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Bob Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Myrtlewood Cemetery
in Livingston.
Mrs. Hunt, 91, of Livingston, died Sunday, October 21 at her residence. Born in Utica, NY, she was a Registered Nurse and worked many years with her husband, the late Dr. Horace Chapman Hunt, Sr., in his Medical Office. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Nelle H. Hirschy of Livingston, and her son, Horace Chapman Hunt, Jr., of Anchorage, AK; one sister: Marie Aylward of Rochester, NY; five grandchildren: Vicky, Alice, Mary Helen, Duncan, and Jamie; and one great grandchild: Lane.
Pallbearers were Dan Lee, Duncan Hunt, Mike Tillman and David Collins, Honorary Pallbearers were friends of the family.
Bumpers Funeral Home of York was in charge of arrangements.
PAUL EDWARD MAJORS, JR
Graveside Services for Mr. Paul Edward Majors, Jr. were held Sunday, October 22, at 2:00 p.m. from Myrtlewood Cemetery
in Livingston, AL with Rev. Gary McAbee officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Majors, 65, of Livingston died Friday, October 20 at his residence.
Born in Jackson, MS, he was an administrator for nursing homes and hospitals in MS, AL, and AR. He received his BS degree in Geology/Science from Mississippi State University. He was an enthusiastic leader with high energy and quick wit. He served in the Army, was a member and deacon of Livingston First Baptist Church, was very civic minded and was a member of the Kiwanis, Rotary, American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America and a Gideon.
His is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Majors of Livingston; his mother: Rachel Majors of Bradenton, FL; one son: Barton Majors of Hattiesburg, MS; four daughters: Barbara Lynn Kofman of Tupelo, MS, Teresa Diane Biglane of Knoxville, TN, Mary Rachel May and Kelly Renee West, both of Magee, MS; brother, Donald Ray Majors of Bradenton, FL; sister: Melinda King of Bradenton, FL ; and seven grandchildren.
MASSEY WILSON SMITH
Former Livingston resident, Massey W. Smith, died at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge, LA.
Born on October 20, 1918, Massey was the eleventh of twelve children of Joshua and Callie Woolf Smith. The family moved to Livingston in 1928. He was a graduate of Livingston High School, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
After working for a time in Livingston, Massey married and spent most of his adult life in Baton Rouge. He was a retired employee of Furlow Laughlin and a resident of Southside Gardens Retirement Community, Baton Rouge, LA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Pettis Smith; daughter, Joan Adcock Crawford; and son, Jimmy Adcock; parents; and brothers and sisters.
He is survived by a granddaughter, Mitzi Crawford Worley, her husband Mitch Worley, and three great grandchildren: Morgan, Meredith, and Mark Worley of Baton Rouge, LA; Ruth Holden, a special sitter and friend with whom he was blessed; two granddaughters: Tanya Robertson and Vickie McGee, both of Brandon, MS; a grandson, Rick Crawford; two sisters: Billye S. McElroy of Huntsville, AL, and Carolyn S. Menefee of Mobile, AL, nieces and nephews: Irene Hoit, George Speed, Jr., Dick Edwards, Frances Lingle, Fred Edwards, David Edwards, Robert Edwards, Jimmy Smith, Mary Smith Norris, Sylvia Gullatt, LaRee Stegall, and Larry Menefee.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Baton Rouge Crisis Intervention Center, 4837 Revere Street, Baton Rouge, LA, 70808, in his name. His body has been donated to medical research.
A memorial service was held with family and friends at Southside Gardens Retirement Community, Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, August 2, 2001.
James Marcus McLelland
Graveside Services for James Marcus “Poodlum” McLelland were held on Friday, July 27, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. from Odd Fellows Cemetery
in Gainesville. Rev. Carl Sudduth officiated with music by Vaughan and June Stafford.
Mr. McLelland died Wednesday, July 25 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Poodlum was a member of Gainesville Methodist Church and ‘Chairman’ of ‘The Board’ of Boligee Cafe.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie Oliver McLelland of Gainesville; two sons: Marc McLelland of Eutaw and Pru McLelland of Gainesville; two daughters: Anne Kornegay of West Blocton, AL and Allison Grimes of Tuscaloosa; two step children: Melanie Schiesz and James “Bo” Tartt, both of Birmingham; one sister: Allison Scruggs of Marion, AL.; and seven grandchildren: Ashley Lee, Lena Kornegay, Paige McLelland, Toby Lynn Grimes, Jennifer Grimes, Joseph Grimes and Cowin Schiesz.
Pallbearers were Rob Mullins, Dr. Bill Taylor, Norman Davenport, Doug Smith, Hank Williams Jr., Jack Webb, Dennis Stripling, J. D. Dearman, Willis Lashley, Teddy Greene, Jimmy Cameron, Dennis Herndon, James “Buddy” Gay, Henry Akins, and Bradley Brown.

Charles Ward McGowen, Jr.
Mrs. Charles Ward McGowen, Jr., age 87, of Vestavia Hill, AL., passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2002. He was a native of Cuba, AL. He attended the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. He graduated from Birmingham School of Law. He retired from McGowen & McGowen Law Firm. He was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church; a World War II Veteran; past member of the Alabama and American Bar Associations.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Ruth Curry McGowen; son, Mr. Charles (Karen) Curry McGowen of Pompano Beach, FL; daughter, Carol Ward McGowen of Birmingham; granddaughter, Lindsay Dee McGowen of Cleveland, Ohio; grandson, Charles Curry McGowen, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret M. Tate, Mrs. Louise M. Vaughn, both of Cuba, AL., and Mrs. Nell A. Vintson of Selma, AL.
Graveside Services was held on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children’s Fresh Air Farm, 501 Park Avenue, Bluff Park, AL. 35226 or c/o Independent Presbyterian Church.
