Funeral services for Brenda Sue Williams Woods, 56, of Pinson will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Ryan's Creek Baptist Church, the Rev. Kenneth Hancock officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Woods died Thursday, July 10 at Medical Center East in Birmingham. She was born July 17, 1946. She was a jeweler.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Woods; two sons, Michael Woods and Larry Dale Taylor Jr.; her mother, Louise Williams; two brothers, Joe Williams and Henry Williams; two sisters, Linda Simpson and Patricia Williams Jones; and 16 nephews and nieces, Jimmy Williams, Jo Ann Morton, Jason Williams, Brandy Hutson, Kevin Williams, Benny Jackson, Lisa Stewart, Brooke Welch, Andrew Simpson, Grace Simpson, Richard Williams Jones, Rachael Louise Jones, Scott Kizzire, Chris Kizzire, Skip Kizzire and Melanie Kizzire.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Helen Leigeber Richard

Private funeral services for Helen Leigeber Richard, 79, of Cullman will be held on Monday, July 14, 2003, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Richard died Friday, July 11 at her residence. She was born Jan. 26, 1924 in Cullman County. She was a retired floral designer who founded Town House Florist in 1960.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rose Leipert Leigeber; her husband, Joseph C. Richard; and her sister, Esther Crutchfield.

Survivors include her son, Michael Richard of Cullman; two daughters, Jacqueline Richard and Rosemary (Jim) West of Cullman; a sister, Katherine Lambert of Florida; and a grandson, Chris (Blakely) Segroves of Birmingham.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cullman County Center for the Developmentally Disabled at 1807 Beech Avenue Southeast, Cullman, Ala. 35055 or the American Heart Association at 605 Davis Circle, Huntsville, Ala. 35801.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ricky Dueal Phillips

Funeral services for Ricky Dueal Phillips, 38, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Jay W. Carroll officiating, with Burial in Duck Creek Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Phillips died Thursday, July 10 at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Jan. 14, 1965 in Marshall County. He was a sheet metal worker for Air/Refrigeration.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Martin Phillips; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Martin.

Survivors include his father, Monroe Dueal Phillips of Joppa; his stepmother, Earlene Phillips of Joppa; his wife, Barbara "B.J." Phillips of Holly Pond; a son, John Phillips of Holly Pond; two daughters, Deidre Phillips and Kristy Phillips, both of Holly Pond; a brother, Mark Phillips of Baileyton; a sister, Karen Pica of Hulaco; and two nephews, Jason Johnson of Baileyton and Aaron Pica of Hulaco.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Hazel Evelyn Harbison

Funeral services for Hazel Evelyn Harbison, 76, of Cullman will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003 at Kilgore-Green Chapel, the Revs. Autry Conn and Jackie Key officiating, with Burial in Curry Cemetery.

Kilgore Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harbison died Thursday, July 10 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bervil E. Harbison; a son, Sherron Harbison; and her parents, Willie and Ida Drummond.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheliah Laney of Cullman; a son, Garry Ellis (Joyce) Harbison of West Branch, Mich.; three grandchildren, Allyson (Robert) Haynes of Cullman, Matthew Harbison and Amanda Harbison, both of West Branch, Mich.; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Haynes and Kaitlyn Haynes, both of Cullman; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Harbison Herr of Homewood.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

L.J. Ragsdale

Funeral services for L.J. Ragsdale, 55, of Cullman are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Barry Gardner officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ragsdale died Saturday, July 12 at his residence. He was born May 16, 1948 to Daniel and Docia Archie Ragsdale. He was a machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Junior Ragsdale; two sisters, Velma Twilley and Jewell Tyree; three nieces, Rowena Duncan, Hilda Campbell and Sonya Pellison; two nephews, Daniel Lee Rosen and Lonnie Tyree; special friends, Larry and Betty Bishop; and a half-brother, Duard Ragsdale.

Visitation is at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Bobby Gene Mewbourn

Funeral services for Bobby Gene Mewbourn, 59, of Cullman, are at 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2003 at Spirit Life Church of God, the Rev. Andrew Ball and Larry Graham officiating, with Burial in Emeus Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr Mewbourn died Saturday, July 12 at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1943 in Marshall County to Ronald Lewis and Emma Mildred Chambers Mewbourn. He served 21 and one-half years in the U.S. Army, having served two tours (1966-67 and 1969-70) in Vietnam, where he earned a purple heart, an accommodation medal and a silver star in combat.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Joshua Kaleb Mewbourn; and a brother, Brice Lendal Mewbourn.

Survivors include his wife, Illa Ann McClendon Mewbourn; his son, Bobby Jr. (Sonya) Mewbourn; two daughters, Bethany Mewbourn (Brad) Carpenter and Melonie Mewbourn Sullivan; a brother, Charles (Edna) Mewbourn; three sisters, Wynette (Johnie) Scott, Ann (Larry) Smith and Sheila (Lamar) Quinn and seven grandchildren, and Kaleb Mewbourn, Kayla Johnson, Kellian, Noah and Olivia Carpenter, and Kayla and Olivia Sullivan.

Visitation is at 5 to 9 p.m. today at Spirit Life Church of God.

Charles Windel Snow

Funeral services for Charles Windel Snow, 62, of Cullman, are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.

Funeral services for Walter A. Peinhardt Sr., 79, of Cullman, are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Moss-Service Funeral Home chapel, Joe Shane officiating, with Burial with military honors in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Peinhardt died Sunday, July 13 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1924 to Emil and Hermina Schmale Peinhardt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and in auto sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis E. (Fab) Peinhardt and H.O. Peinhardt; and two sisters, Lorene Peinhardt Daniel and Edna Mae Peinhardt Kraener.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Franiuk Peinhardt; two sons, Walter (Linda) Peinhardt Jr. and Robert (Susan) Peinhardt; four daughters, Linda Peinhardt (Lee) Norris, Phillis Peinahrdt, Karen Peinhardt and Janet Peinhardt (Bob) Pierce; a sister, Ruby Peinhardt (Howard) Martin; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Hubert W. Cole

Funeral services for Hubert W. Cole, 80, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Keith Gambill officiating, with Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cole died Saturday, July 12 in Cullman. He was born in Grassy on July 31, 1922 to James Henry and Sarah Shelton Cole. He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 12, 1942 to Dec. 3, 1945.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ora Gable and Gladys Johnson; and two brothers, Horace and Spencer Cole.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Cobb Cole of Hanceville; two sons, Noah (Susan) Cole and Ronald (Phyllis) Cole, both of Hanceville; three daughters, Sandra Dover, Dianne Greene and Deborah Thornton, all of Hanceville; a sister-in-law, Ethel Cole of Lauderdale County; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday.

Thomas Nolan James

Funeral services for Thomas Nolan James, 75, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Chapel, Marcus Long, Bob Murray and Chuck Canterbury officiating, with Burial in Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Morgan County.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. James died Sunday, July 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on Feb. 21, 1928 to Allen Pinson and Eula Bell Schultz James. He was a member of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was the parts department manager for Norrell-Fields Dodge. He was a long-time member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, where he was active in the Men's Prayer Breakfast and Young At Heart. He attended the Bob Sapp Sunday school class at Cullman First United Methodist Church and was active in its Men's Prayer Breakfast and Young At Heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ravanell Thompson James.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie (John) New, of Cullman, Sherrie (Joe) Gamble of Graysville and Carla (Robert) Clark of Newnan, Ga.; two grandchildren, Robert and Alex Clark; and two step-grandchildren, Paul Gamble II and Nathan Gamble.

Visitation was Monday.

Steven Randy Mauter

Funeral services for Steven Randy Mauter, 46, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Chapel, Allen Yeager officiating, with Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Mauter died Sunday, July 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born in Flint, Mich., on Feb. 8, 1957 to Fulton and Sarah Mauter.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Mauter of Cullman; his parents; son, Chris of Cullman; daughter, Misty of Cullman; two brothers, Ronald Mauter of Mt. Norris, Mich., and Rodney Mauter of Madison; and a sister, Robin Lynn Stewart of Clio, Mich.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Patricia Ann Williams

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Williams, 62, of Cullman, are at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Cullman Heritage chapel, Steve Fincher officiating, with Burial in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams died Sunday, July 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 1, 1940 in West Virginia to Lester C. and Irene Fitzpatrick Dick. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Shuck; a brother, Douglas Dick and a sister Patsy Dick.

Survivors include her husband, John Williams of Cullman; three sons, Raymond Shuck and Richard Shuck, both of Cullman, and Dean (Sandy) Shuck of Illinois; two daughters, Tammy (Peter) Genoff and Lena Gill of Addison; three brothers, Lester Dick, James Dick and Roger Dick; a sister, Frances Mills; six grandchildren, Peter Genoff Jr., Jennifer Genoff, Misty Shuck, Tommy Gill, Lisa Acevedo and Debra Acevedo; and five great-grandchildren, Genesis Acevedo, Skyler Acevedo, D.J. Acevedo, Anthony Acevedo and Jose Acevedo.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.

Frankie Williams

Graveside services for Frankie Williams, 87, of Garden City, formerly of Maytown, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Village Falls Cemetery in Mulga, the Rev. Donald Abbott officiating.

Crestview Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Williams died Sunday, July 13 at her residence. She was retired from the U.S. Post Office and worked as the town clerk of Maytown for 38 years. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church in Hanceville and a former long-time member of Maytown Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Williams; and a son, C.I. "Pete" Williams.

Survivors include a son, Glenn (Pat) Williams of Garden City; a daughter-in-law, Lydia Williams of Maytown; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Bennett of Brookside.

Visitation was Monday.

Jewel Marie Harris

Funeral services for Jewel Marie Harris, 39, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Moss Service Chapel, Keith Whitley and Kenneth Terry officiating, with Burial in Flint Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Harris died Tuesday, July 15 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1963.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Roger McDaniel; and her grandparents, Virgil and Hannah Corley and Pearl Hesteande.

Survivors include her ex-husband, Billy Harris; a son, Joey Harris of Vinemont; a stepson, Jeff Harris of Decatur; two daughters, Charlotte McDaniel of Decatur and Tabitha Harris of Vinemont; two stepdaughters, Christi Bolan and Cindy White, both of Decatur; her parents, Shirley Jewel Corley and Jessie Edward McDaniel; five brothers, Charles McDaniel, Hugh Skinner, Joel Skinner, Clifford Skinner and Herbert Skinner; two sisters, Franzella Marsh and Danie Reeves, both of Vinemont; and six grandchildren, Kalisha, Ty, Eden, Leaph, Nicole and Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Roger Copeland, Heath Thomason, Brandon Hayes, Kevin Park, Pedro Ochoa and Greg Shackles.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
