Charles Windle Snow

Funeral services for Charles Windle Snow, 62, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Revs. Clyde Ledlow and Lonnie Skinner officiating, with Burial in Etha Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Snow died Monday, July 14 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 29, 1940 in Cullman County to Buron Benjamin and Fannie Bell Swann Snow. He was employed at Cullman Regional Medical Center in the Maintenance Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Luther M. Snow.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Lou Chumley Snow of Cullman; two daughters, Sarah Delane Talley Snow of Cullman and Donna Lou Snow Hooper of Baileyton; two sisters, Frances Evon Snow Melvin of Florida and Emma Sue Snow (Jim) Beasley of Vinemont; and three grandchildren, Windle Herbert Talley, Charla Delane Talley and Jessica Nicole Hooper.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

Sarah Frances Lepard

Funeral services for Sarah Frances Lepard, 64, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, Wayne Wisener officiating, with Burial in Brooklyn Cemetery.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lepard died Monday, July 14. She was born in Cullman on March 11, 1939 to Amos Andrew and Dorothy Ella Wales Akers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Larry) Coffman of Eva and Barbara (Jerry) Harden of Fairview; three sons, George (Debbie) Knott and Terry (Kathy) Knott, both of Fairview, and James (Sheila) Knott of Dodge City; a brother, Thomas Akers of Prince, Ind.; a sister, Florence Knott of Vinemont; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday.

Edith Weathers

Funeral services for Edith Weathers, 86, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Dennis Trimble officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Weathers died Tuesday, July 15 at her residence. She was born June 26, 1917 to Charles and Hettie Swann Carter. She was a nurse's aide.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Weathers; a granddaughter, Cherie W. Mann; a great-granddaughter, Melanie Rae Manning; and her parents.

Survivors include six sons, James E. Weathers of Alaska, Donald E. Weathers of Mt. Olive, Billy R. Weathers of Germany, B. Wayne Weathers of Cullman, C. Ronald Weathers of Georgia and Michael L. Weathers of Florida; a daughter, Faye W. Sharpton of Cullman; three sisters, Ellon C. Johnson of Tenn., Mary Agnes (Jack C.) Collins of Cullman and Dorothy Lee C. Morgan of McCalla; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

John Harold Perry

Graveside services for John Harold Perry, 72, of Warrior will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2003 at Cullman City Cemetery, the Revs. Brad Hadley and Chuck Canterbury officiating.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Perry died Wednesday, July 16 at Woodland Village Health Care. He was born Jan. 13, 1931. He was a retired business owner.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, C.W. Perry, Raymond Perry, Bill Perry and Jack Perry; his father, John Benjamin Perry; his mother, Ruby Leola Adams Perry.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Martin Speegle of Cullman; a daughter, Jeannie Speegle of Cullman; three brothers, Ben (Melba) Perry of Panama City, Fla., Gleen (Betty) Perry of Addison and Gene Perry of Homestead, Fla.; two sisters, Louise (Sonny) Kaple and Alice (Huey) Griffin, both of Cullman; and two granddaughters, Leslie Nicole Speegle and Perry Lynne Speegle, both of Cullman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Andrews building fund, Cullman.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Wilma Rose Chambers

Funeral services for Wilma Rose Chambers, 81, of Blountsville, formerly of Cullman, will be at noon Friday, July 18, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Ray Yeager officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Chambers died Wednesday, July 16 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 27, 1921 to Conrad James and Vera Esther Foust Duke. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Edward Thomas Chambers Sr.

Survivors include two sons, Edward T. "Tommy" (Linda) Chambers of Blountsville and Gary James (Shirley) Chambers of Decatur; a daughter, Lisa Chambers (Greg) Pugh of Cullman; a brother, Charles Conrad Duke of Decatur; a sister, Frances Ruth Ponder of Destin, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Sheila (Derrick) McCrae, Rex (Teresa) Chambers, Mandy (Ryan) Burdine, Chris (Jennifer) Chambers, Jason Chambers, Devin (Jeffrey) Evans, Jacob Pugh, Joshua Pugh and Jared Pugh; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Buddy Eugene Wilkins

Funeral services for Buddy Eugene Wilkins, 68, of Addison will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2003 at Nichols Funeral Chapel, Jerry Fleming officiating, with Burial in Pisgah Cemetery.

Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wilkins died Tuesday, July 15.

Survivors include his wife, Earnesteen Wilkins of Addison; two daughters, Pam Wilkins of Hanceville and Becky Clowers of Manchester, Tenn.; four sons, Larry Wilkins, Harlon Wilkins and Chad Wilkins, all of Hanceville, and Scott Boyd of Addison; four sisters, Mace Thomas of Vinemont, Okelene Hood and Kaylene McWreath, both of Cullman, and Martha Whitehead of Florida; a brother, James Willard Wilkins of Logan; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday.

Estelle Marks Sims

Funeral services for Estelle Marks Sims, 64, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Moss-Service Chapel, Dillion Calvert and Dewey Sims officiating, with Burial in Logan Baptist Church Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sims died Wednesday, July 16 at her residence. She was born Jan. 7, 1939 to John W. and Effie Garner Marks. She was a retired hairdresser and homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sims; and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Rita (Charles) Harbison of Bremen and Charlotte (David) Ethridge of Hammond, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren, Jason Harbison, Wesley (Candice) Harbison, Laura Harbison, James and Carly Turnef and David Ethridge.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

L.D. Chambers

Funeral services for L.D. Chambers, 82, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Redan Baptist Church, David Chambers, Layne Howard, Tim Pinkard, Zacharee Howard and De Juan Reese officiating, with Burial in Redan Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Chambers died Thursday, July 17 at his residence in Holly Pond. He was born Sept. 8, 1920 in Cullman County to Andrew "Jack" and Lilar Pitts Chambers. He was a farmer and a member of Redan Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Pascal, J.W., Roscoe and Archie Chambers; and a sister, Ollie Lee Hamby.

Survivors include his wife, Wynell Chambers of Holly Pond; two sons, Andrew (Delby) Chambers of Holly Pond and David (Renee) Chambers of Fairview; three daughters, Helen (Gordon) Smith of Holly Pond, Bobbie (Tim) Pinkard of Fairview and Kathy (Layne) Howard of Holly Pond; a sister, Imojene Traver of Guntersville; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Pallbearers will be Andy Chambers, Josh Pinkard, Chad Wright, Jeremy Howard, Eli Howard and Tony Morton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Isaac Howard, Cheston Morton, Michah Chambers and Caleb Chambers.

W.J. 'Delone' Holloway

Funeral services for W.J. "Delone" Holloway, 80, of Baileyton will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, with Burial in Etha Cemetery.

Mr. Holloway died Thursday, July 17 at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1922 in Cullman County to John Ellis and Iver Smith Holloway. He was a machine operator at Greif Brothers and a veteran of World War II with the U.S. Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ed Holloway; and a sister, Ruha Hilda Yates.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mildred Miller Holloway of Baileyton; a son, Jack D. (Janet) Holloway of Falkville; a daughter, Marsha (Norbert) Cowart of Hanceville; six brothers, Chester Holloway, Troy Holloway, Roy Holloway, Rex Holloway and Willie Holloway, all of Cullman, and Travis Holloway of Huntsville; a sister, Frieda Kimbrell of Vinemont; eight grandchildren, Tony R. Cowart of Edison, N.J., Stephen (Cindy) Cowart of Addison, Carrie (John) Lockhart of Falkville, Jason Holloway of Nashville, Tenn., Patrick Holloway of Arab, Telva Crowe of Columbus, Tenn., Jody Crowe of Huntsville and David Crowe of Cotaco; and five great-grandchildren, Andrew Cowart, Daniel Lockhart, Baylee Lockhart, Tyler Crowe and Madison Crowe.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

William G. Hancock Jr.

Funeral services for William G. Hancock Jr., 55, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Randy Sellers officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hancock died Tuesday, July 15 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Nov. 2, 1947 in Cullman to Glance William and Elsie Barker Hancock. He was in the pest control business. He was also a veteran of the Army and the Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Glover Hancock of Hanceville; two sons, Brian Hancock and Stevie Hancock; two daughters, Theresa (Justin) Thomas and Tina Hancock; two brothers, Ronald (Lois) Hancock and Donald Hancock; three grandchildren, Dana and Christina Hancock and Cameron Thomas; a niece, Kimberly, and a nephew, Randy, both godchildren.

Visitation was Thursday.

Velma Todd

Funeral services for Velma Todd, 79, of Vinemont are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by the funeral home.

Mrs. Todd died Thursday, July 17 at Woodland Village Health Care.

George Herman Vogel

Funeral services for George Herman Vogel, 64, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Warren Ruland officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Mr. Vogel died Thursday, July 17 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 29, 1938 in Cullman County to Arthur E. and Naomi Hanes Vogel. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; two brothers, Ernest Vogel of Cullman and Herman (Donna) Vogel of Birmingham; a nephew, Jason Vogel of Birmingham; and a niece, Christy Vogel of Birmingham.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Evelyn Pearl Bradford

Funeral services for Evelyn Pearl Bradford, 81, of Garden City will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2003 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Keith Gambill officiating, with Burial in Hopewell Cemetery.

Mrs. Bradford died Wednesday, July 16 in Cullman. She was born in Hanceville on March 22, 1922 to Lawrence and Pearl Hudson Cobb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Auston Bradford; and a son, Vernon Bradford.

Survivors include two sons, Garry Bradford and Jerry Bradford, both of Birmingham; three daughters, Linda Reichman and Jean Roberson, both of Cullman, and Sue Strickland of Dutton; two brothers, James Cobb and Oneal Cobb, both of Garden City; two sisters, Nora Cole and Ruth Garner, both of Garden City; a special friend, Glenda Baggett of Hanceville; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Thursday.
