Funeral arrangements for Harlin H. Aderhold, 73, of Cullman are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Williams-McCracken Funeral Home. Mr. Aderhold died Monday, May 10, 2004, at his residence.

William Wayne Searcy

Funeral services for William Wayne Searcy, 55, of Eufaula were Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Epworth United Methodist Church, the Rev. Gerald Caryl-Gordon officiating, with Burial at 2 p.m. in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Kent Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Searcy died Saturday, May 8, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan after a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Jasper to the late William Martin and Ophia Jean Baggett Searcy. He had lived in the Eufaula area since 1971, coming from Cullman. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Searcy; a son, Martin Searcy; a daughter, Christina Searcy; and a brother, John Searcy, all of Eufaula.

Thomas A. Goff

Graveside services for Thomas A. Goff, 64, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2004, at Good Hope Cemetery, Jeff Race officiating.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Goff died Monday, May 10.

Harlin H. Aderhold

Funeral services for Harlin H. Aderhold, 73, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2004, at Seventh St. Baptist Preservation Committee Church, Dr. John Temple officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Aderhold died Monday, May 10, at his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Cullman to Homer A. and Effie Jones Aderhold. He was retired from NASA and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill, Neuell and Raymond Aderhold; and two sisters, Aubrie Brown and Velva Lee.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Westbrook Aderhold; a son, Mark Aderhold of Cullman; two daughters, Cindy (Dwayne) Aaron of Morris and Jennifer (Neal) Gooch of Johanisburg, S. Africa; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Aderhold of Cullman; six grandchildren, Courtney Aderhold, Justin Aaron, Rebecca Aaron, Dawson Gooch, Hudson Gooch and Jonathan Gooch; and special caregivers, Jane Moses and Shirley Duckworth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Seventh St. Baptist Preservation Committee Church or Ala-Care Hospice.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

James S. Davis

Funeral services for James S. Davis, 65, of Joppa will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2004, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with Burial in the Catholic Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davis died Wednesday, May 12 at his residence.

Zelda M. Trapp

Funeral services for Zelda M. Trapp, 85, of Remlap will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Tommy Graves officiating, with entombment in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Trapp died Wednesday, May 12, at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born June 23, 1918, to Issac Taylor and Almeda Swann Sandlin. She was a longtime resident of Cullman County. She most recently resided in the village of Cook Springs retirement community near Pell City. She was a registered nurse who will be remembered for her work with the Cullman County Schools Head Start Program.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Trapp Sr.; a son, Marvin Trapp Jr.; and her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, June Stewart of Blount County; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Lillie Shedd Smith

Funeral services for Lillie Shedd Smith, 83, of Cullman will be at 11 .am. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Alton "Butch" Shedd officiating, with Burial in Etha Church Cemetery.

Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home in Decatur is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Smith died Wednesday, May 12, at NHC Health Care Moulton. She was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Cullman County to Tommie and Abbie Bailey Johns. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and was retired from Cullman Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Gaines.

Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Alton "Butch" (Joyce) Shedd of Illinois and Darrell Shedd of Cullman; one daughter, Shirley Wren (Bob) White of Decatur; three brothers, Dock Johns, Arvil Johns and Odus (Mable) Johns, all of Cullman; one sister, Olean Johns of Cullman; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home.

Willis Clinton Hill

Funeral services for Willis Clinton Hill, 71, of Oakman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Dewey Briscoe officiating, with Burial in Center Point Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hill died Thursday, May 13, at his residence.

Reba Faye Jacobs

Funeral services for Reba Faye Jacobs, 74, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Leon Maulden officiating, with Burial in Bethlehem East Cemetery in Hanceville.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jacobs died Friday, May 14, in Cullman. She was born May 3, 1930, in Hanceville to Percy W. and Edna Pearl Holt Sims.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Jellethia Carden.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar Jacobs of Cullman; four sons, Barry (Linda) Jacobs and Gordon Sandlin, both of Cullman; Stanley Jacobs of Cherryvale, Kan.; and Eddie (Hester) Sandlin of Hanceville; one daughter, Tamm (David) Jenkens of Cullman; two brothers, Dewey A. Sims of Cullman and Mancil T. Sims of Gardendale; nine grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca (Joseph) Dye, Bradley (Kari) Jacobs, Jessica Jacobs, Cody Jenkins, Jeanie (Mark) Rhodes, Bethany Sandlin, Patrick Sandlin, Adam Taylor and Willy Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Paige Jacobs and Carter Brice Wells.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Minnie McSwain

Funeral services for Minnie McSwain, 91, of Bremen were Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, Tommy Graves officiating, with Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Crane Hill.

Hanceville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss McSwain died Wednesday, May 5, in Cullman. She was born Nov. 24, 1912, in Cullman County.

Survivors include a sister, Emma McSwain Morgan of Brushy Pond; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Friday, May 7.

Guy Jason Morrow

Funeral services for Guy Jason Morrow, 75, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, Edmond Flaig officiating, with Burial in Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morrow died Friday, May 14, in Cullman. He was born in Winston County on Nov. 8, 1928, to Grady and Loree Jones Morrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dian Chapman Morrow; two daughters, Kimberly (Steve) Goodlett and Loree (David) Miller; a son, Brian Morrow, all of Hanceville; a brother, Donald Morrow of Haleyville; and six grandchildren, Drew and Heather Goodlett, Hiliary Morrow, Amber and Jake Miller and Haley Watson.

Visitation was Friday.

Nellie Ruth Tyree

Funeral services for Nellie Ruth Tyree, 80, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Jimmy Baker officiating, with Burial in Simcoe Methodist Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Tyree died Thursday, May 13, at her residence. She was born May 25, 1923, in Georgia to Thomas George and Fannie Crane Golden. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Tyree; a son, Jack (Margaret) Stidham; two daughters, Brenda (Jud) Barton and Gail (Sonny) Brasher; a sister, Dot Stidham; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of Cullman.

Visitation was Friday.

Amos Cockrell

Funeral services for Amos Cockrell, 80, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at Johnson Grove Methodist Church, with Burial in Johnson Grove Cemetery.

Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Bernice Gallups Colvin

Memorial services for Bernice Gallups Colvin will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Kingwood Assembly of God in Alabaster, Mark Sims officiating.

Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Colvin died Thursday, May 13, surrounded by her loving family. Bernice proudly served as a security guard at Baptist Medical Center Princeton for 15 years.

Survivors include her siblings, Mark Gallups of Gulf Shores, Irene Mayhall of Vestavia; her children, Sandra Hikcs of Cullman and Debra Gordon of Helena; her grandchildren, Gregory Grant of Cullman, Koko Vess of Bremen, Brandon Gordon of Helena and Chrisie Morris of Alabaster; along with five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations of remembrance can be made in her name to Odyssey Healthcare of Alabama, 2100-B Southbridge Parkway, Suite 250, Birmingham, Ala. 35209.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the church.

Frances Godsey

Funeral services for Frances Godsey, 73, of Grant, formerly of Cullman County, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Grant New Life Methodist Church, Dr. R. Kirby Godsey and Phil Howell officiating, with Burial in Guntersville City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Grant Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Godsey died Thursday, May 13, at her residence.

Addie Lou Moody

Graveside services for Addie Lou Moody, of Arley, formerly of Boaz, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Hill Crest Cemetery in Boaz, the Rev. Jerry Craft officiating.

Mrs. Moody died Wednesday, May 12, at Pine Place Assisted Living at Arley.

Margaret Ann Walker Burnett

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Walker Burnett, 76, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel Steve Cummings officiating, with Burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Mrs. Burnett died Friday, May 14, at her residence. She was born June 17, 1927, in Limestone County to Bill and Loretta Junkins Walker. She was retired from Belk Department Store.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Afton Eugene Burnett.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Afton (Linda) Burnett and David Steven (Lynn) Burnett of Decatur; one daughter, Joy Lynn Burnett (Leon) Brown of Eva; two brothers, Billy Donald Walker of Mableton, Ga., and Jimmy G. Walker of Pinson; one sister, Mary Doris Stover of Northport; six grandchildren, Kristi Thompson of Hartselle, Brandon Brown of Eva, Michael Burnett Jr. of Birmingham, and Haley (John) Kuhlman, David Steven Burnett Jr. and Brian Chad Burnett, all of Decatur; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Thompson, Chloe Margaret Thompson and Walker Thompson of Hartselle.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
