Funeral services for Locky Mae Garrett/Sanders, 83, of Centerville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Greg Willbanks officiating, with Burial in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state for two hours prior to the service.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Garrett/Sanders died Sunday, May 30, in Bibb County Medical Center Nursing Home. She was born March 16, 1921, in Shelby County to Clifton and Ludy Bell Jones Dobbs. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, William Chester Garrett and Charles Sanders; one son, Roger Dale Garrett; four brothers, T.M. Dobbs, Rudolph Dobbs, Floyd Dobbs and Wilburn Dobbs; and one sister, Ada V. Garrett.

Survivors include one son, Chester James (Becky) Garrett of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two daughters, Grace (Murray) Nichols of Sprott and Janice (Lester) Hampton of Cullman; one brother, C.L. Dobbs of Childersburg; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Charles Ray Snow

Funeral services for Charles Ray Snow, 61, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Frank Butts and Dr. David Chambers officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Cullman.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Snow died Saturday, May 29, in Cullman.

Robert Louis Adams

Funeral services for Robert Louis Adams, 73, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Abbot Cletus Meagher and Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Adams died Sunday, May 30, at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Dec. 9, 1930, to Thomas E. Sr. and May E. Lambert Adams. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired office manager with Florida Gas and most recently employed as a salesperson at Mary Carter paint store. Mr. Adams was also a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Thomas E. Adams Jr.; and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Young Adams; one brother, Richard J. Adams; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart Altar Fund, Sacred Heart School Adopt-A-Student program or St. Bernard Preparatory School.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. today.

Dovie Estelle Lake

Funeral services for Dovie Estelle Lake, 88, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Tim Aris and James Blackwood officiating, with Burial in Cross Roads Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lake died Sunday, May 30, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 10, 1915, in Alabama to Smith and Nora Peak Harris. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James N. Lake; and one daughter, Betty Sue Walker.

Survivors include two daughters, Nora (Dennis) Lunsford and Racheal (Nicky) Buckelew; one son, Jimmy (Doris) Lake; one son-in-law, James Walker; one sister-in-law, Audrey Harris; one brother, Jasper (Peggy) Harris; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday.

Jeffery W. 'Jeff' Stidham

Funeral services for Jeffery W. "Jeff" Stidham, 41, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Elder Guy Hunt officiating, with Burial in Mt. Vernon Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stidham died Saturday, May 29, at his residence. He was born Nov. 19, 1962. He was a machinist with Webb Wheel.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Bates Stidham of Cullman; one daughter, Lyndon Brooke Stidham of Cullman; two stepdaughters, Christy Bates Hale and Jamie Bates, both of Cullman; one stepson, Keith (Keri) Bates of Cullman; his father, Luther Howard Stidham of Cullman; two brothers, James Stidham and Larry Stidham, both of Cullman; one sister, Linda (Mike) O'Neil of Cullman; one stepgrandchild, Jac O'Hair Jr.; and two nephews, Bryan (Ashlee) O'Neil and Johnny (Chanda) O'Neil.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Mary Williams

Funeral services for Mary Williams, 83, of Bremen are incomplete and will be announced later by the funeral home.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Williams died May 31, 2004, at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

Raymond Hanvey

Graveside services for Raymond Hanvey, 61, of Gresston, Ga., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Fair Haven Cemetery in Eastman, Ga., the Rev. Royce McClelland officiating.

Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hanvey died Sunday, May 30, in Portsbridge Hospice Center in Macon, Ga.

O.Z. Twilley

Funeral services for O.Z. Twilley, 74, of Logan will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, with Burial at New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Logan.

Mr. Twilley died Saturday, May 29.

Audie Aner Freeman

Funeral services for Audie Aner Freeman, 99, of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, the Rev. Dan Anderson officiating, with Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Crane Hill.

Mary Etta Williams

Funeral services for Mary Etta Williams, 83, of Bremen will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Antioch Baptist Church, the Rev. Marvin Clemmons and Manuel E. Stricklin II officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Williams died Monday, May 31, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 4, 1920, to Jesse and Mary Weeks Walls. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel David Williams; a daughter, Janie Vee Williams; two grandsons, Kenneth Lamar Williams and Donald Steve Baker; and her parents.

Survivors include her son, David B. (June) Williams of Cullman; four daughters, Shirley (Jessie) Freeman, Rena (Donald) Day, Vera (Manuel) Stricklin, Glenda (Jerry) Rollo, all of Bremen; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

J.D. Hagemore

Funeral services for J.D. Hagemore, 86, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Rev. Marvin Brock officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hagemore died Monday, May 31, at his residence. He was born May 8, 1918, in Alabama to Jim and Pattie Mae McCarley Hagemore. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billy Hagemore; five sisters, Maybell Gilland, Jewell Jones, Bet Hamilton, Lois Tingle and Allene Roberson; and a brother, Jess Hagemore.

Survivors include his wife, Wynelle Jones Hagemore of Cullman; two sons, Joe (Debra) Hagemore of Hanceville and Charles (Peggy) Hagemore of Cullman; two daughters, Magalene (Bobby) Thomason of Cullman and Betty (Garvous) Owens of Vinemont; a brother, Howard Hagemore of Hanceville; a sister, Estelle Jones of Cullman; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday.

Hazel Abbott Gilliam

Funeral services for Hazel Abbott Gilliam, 79, of Priceville will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Roselawn Chapel, Dr. Rob Jackson officiating, with Burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Gilliam died Tuesday, June 1, in Priceville.

Faye Brumbeloe Price

Athel M. Mattox

Funeral services for Athel M. Mattox, 68, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004, at Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Addison, with Burial in Nesmith Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Mattox died Wednesday, June 2, at Hendrix Health Care in Double Springs.

Mrs. Still died Friday, June 4, in Cullman. She was born Dec. 31, 1911, to David J. and Eva Miller Farley. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dewey Still; two sons, Johnny Still and Robert L. Still; two brothers, Clifford W. Farley and Claude N. Farley; and one sister, Cecil Louise Wells.

Survivors include one son, Frank Still of Gadsden; three daughters, Wilma S. Cleckley of Clanton, Hilda S. (Bobby) Wright of Huntsville and Teresa S. (Larry) Grizzard of Trussville; one daughter-in-law, Rebecca P. Still of Cullman; two brothers, D.J. Farley Jr. and Jervis J. Farley, both of Cullman; two sisters, Hazel Collins of Cullman and Evelyn Harbison of West Point, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, Anita Brooks, Gary Still, Michael Still, Rhonda McAfee, Patricia Mims, Jennifer Chappell, Jason Wright, Grant Still, Amber Still, Bradley Echols and Amanda Echols; nine great-grandchildren, Robert Easterling, Renee' Underwood, Ryan Easterling, Trevor Mims, Trey Mims, Logan Chappell, Farren Paige Chappell, Greyson Wright and Ellie Wright; three great-great-grandchildren, Scottie Underwood, Sophie Underwood and Madison Rae Easterling; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Mavis Rollo 'Granny' Hall

Funeral services for Mavis Rollo "Granny" Hall, 82, of Hanceville, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Junior Garmon, Wayne Williams and Mark Long officiating, with Burial in Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Hayden.

Mrs. Hall died Friday, June 4, in Cullman. She was born April 30, 1922, in Cullman County to John Jesse and Jo Amy Chambers Rollo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Jesse Rollo and Jo Amy Chambers Rollo Burnett; one brother, Kenny Rollo; two sisters, Almer Williams and Mary Taylor; and one granddaughter, Julie Ann Lucas.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Robert F. Hall of Hanceville; two daughters, Wanda (Steve) Pennington of Gardendale and Winda (Ernest James) Lucas of Tullahoma, Tenn.; one son, Bobby E. Hall of Hayden; three grandchildren, Marty (Angie) Pennington, James (Peggy) Lucas and Shana Lucas; four great-grandchildren, C.J. Pennington, Chandler Pennington, William Cody Lucas and Robert Garret Lucas; four brothers, Delmer (Momie) Rollo, Malon (Barbara) Rollo, Freddie (Darlene) Rollo and Ernie (Annabell) Rollo; one sister, Lovella Wallace; survivors of the first family of John Jesse Rollo; special nieces and nephews; and faithful loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.
