Services for Horace Young, 52, of 47 Young Lane will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sweet Rock Pure Holiness Church with Mozell Elston officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Young died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Young of Oxford; a daughter, NeKita Young of Munford; two sons, Roderick Young of Oxford and Devin Young of Birmingham; his mother, Willie Estell Young of Oxford; four sisters, Elizabeth Turner of Las Vegas, Flossie Chatman and Linda Dial, both of Oxford and Anita Suttle of Anniston; three brothers, Fred Young Jr., Randy Young and Douglas Young, all of Oxford; and four grandchildren, Jasmine Gooden, Aaron Young, Chametris Young and Autumn Young.

Pallbearers will be Cedric Baker, Edward Best, Dexter Chatman, Henry Elston, Gary Freeman, Franklin Goodmen, Clifton Fantroy, Brady Jones, Charles Turner and Phillip Rhoden.

Mr. Young was a lifelong resident of Oxford and was employed by National Gypsum Paper Co. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Young Sr.; a brother, Larry Young; and a sister, Ida Young Romine.

PLANO, Texas

Services for Cleola Warren Cash, 94, of Plano will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gray Brown-Service Chapel. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.

Mrs. Cash died Saturday in Texas.

Cobb

OXFORD

Services for Carmon C. Cobb, 96, of Oxford will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Randy Huddleston and Kenneth Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the White Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Miller Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cobb died Sunday at Colonial Pines Health Care.

Survivors include five daughters, Myrtice Cobb and husband Marlin of Oxford, Jean Feazell and husband Eugene of Lincoln, Peggy Sanders of Ohatchee, Mary Ann Yarbrough of Eastaboga, Jackie Prickett and husband Ray of Fountain Inn, S.C.; a sister, Edna Ballard and husband Harry of Anniston; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Larry Cobb Sr., Greg Feazell, Chuck Yarbrough, Larry Cobb Jr., Fred Atkinson and Jeff Prickett.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bethany Sunday School Class of Ruhama Baptist Church, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Isom, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Chambers, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis.

Mrs. Cobb was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of the Ruhama Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Cobb; two sons, Bobby and Tommy Cobb; a granddaughter, Louise Cobb; and her parents, Will and Ella Cole.

Gilliam

CEDAR BLUFF

Services for Harold David Gilliam, 77, of 3820 Cherokee County Road 75 in Cedar Bluff, will be at 2 p.m. today at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Horace Humphries officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Pettyjohn; a son, Charles David Gilliam of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Phyllis Gilliam Ramshur of Pearl, Miss.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Pettyjohn, Larry Pettyjohn, Tim Pettyjohn, Joe Pierce, Dewayne Gregg, John Covington and Richard Salmon.

Mr. Gilliam was native of Rome, Ga., and was a World War II veteran. He served in England, France and Germany. He was a retired jailer and Cherokee County dispatcher. He was a Methodist.

Services for George Horn, 96, of Talladega will be announced by Usrey Funeral Home.

Mr. Horn died Sunday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega.

Moore

Services for James L. "Jimmy" Moore, 73, will be 2 p.m. today at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with Rev. Warren Wilder and Deacon Mark Fitzhugh officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens.

Mr. Moore died Friday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Webb Moore; two daughters, Merri Moore of Pleasant Valley, Lauri Moore Elam and husband Bob of Rabbittown; two grandchildren, Bryan Moore Elam and Anna Meredith Elam; two nephews, Richard Everett and Robert Everett; a sister, Marilyn Moore Everett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Dunham, Terry Horton, Johnny Clifton, Junior Moore, Woody White and Richard Everett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Feazell, Fred Creel, Duke Brimer, Paul Chastain, Buck Character, Mall Walkers and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 136.

Mr. Moore was a native and lifelong resident of Anniston. He was a retired electrician of 50 years. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 136. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member deacon of Central Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Henretta Moore; and a son, James David Moore.
Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Home for Children, 905 Ashland Highway, Talladega 35160.

Wilson

ROXBURY, Mass.

Graveside services for Willie Junior Wilson, 66, of Roxbury will be noon Tuesday in the Simmons Cemetery in Millerville with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Public viewing will be from noon until 6 p.m. today. The family will line up at the home of Sarah Judkins on Alabama 9 at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Wilson died Oct. 22 at Jewish Memorial Hospital in Massachusetts.

Survivors include two step-children, Judy Simmons, Larry Simmons and wife Ann of Millerville; two grandchildren; a brother, Billy Wilson and wife Vooka of Dorchester, Mass.; four sisters, Geraldine Walker of Dorchester, Mass., Sarah Judkins and husband Chat, Murine Cunningham and husband Fred of Millerville, and Everline Avant and husband Roger; and an aunt, Eunice Simmons.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.

Mr. Wilson was a former resident of Millerville and spent 36 years of his life in Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mollie Wilson.

Services for Frederick L. Woolverton, 38, of 811 Cricket Lane will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church in Hobson City with Rev. L.L. Stringer officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Woolverton died Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Dasha Angel of Oxford and Natasha White of Anniston; a son, Jordaneous Woolverton of Anniston; his mother, Mamie Smith of Anniston; five sisters, Valeria Woolverton of Westland, Mich., Wanda Walker of Jacksonville, Fla., Debra Huggins of Columbus, Ga., Joyce Houston of Anniston and Melody Taylor of Ft. Hood, Texas; three brothers, Dennis Woolverton of Columbus, Ga., Douglas Woolverton of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Christopher Woolverton of Anniston; a grandchild, Marquel Carlisle of Anniston; and a companion, Sally Bradford of Anniston.

Pallbearers will be friends, family and the Anniston High School Class of 1981.

Mr. Woolverton was a graduate of Anniston High School and served in the National Guard for 12 years. He was employed at Williams Barber Shop.

Services for Lucille Ella Cavender, 70, of 3753 Cedar Springs Road will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in Anniston with Rev. Harold Payne officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cavender died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Cavender of Jacksonville; two daughters, Jeri Kitas of Los Angeles and Brandi Davis of Jacksonville; and a son, Wayne Davis of Griffin, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Shane Cash, Ray Climes, Lester Boling, Eddie Boling, Michael Lee and Jimmy Cavender.

Mrs. Cavender was a native of Waleska, Ga. and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was a housewife and attended Weaver Church of God.

Cunningham
AKRON, Ohio
Services for Curtis Cunningham, 71, of Akron, formerly of Heflin, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Ackles officiating. Burial will be in Heflin City Cemetery with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Cunningham died July 23 at Akron Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Ezra Heard of Heflin and Rosalyn Cunningham of Decatur, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Alice Ervin and Jimmie Dora Steven, both of Heflin; a brother, Vertis Cunningham of Heflin; and five grandchildren.

Curry
ALPINE
Services for Robert Curry, 72, of 1163 Nottingham Road will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary in Talladega.

Mr. Curry died Monday at his home.

HEFLIN
Services for Nell Houck Gaines, 60, of 148 Gray Road will be today at 11 a.m. at Dryden Funeral Home with Buford Gaines and Horace Merrill officiating. Burial will be in Heflin Memorial Garden.

Mrs. Gaines died Sunday at Cleburne County Nursing Home.

Survivors include her husband, Buford Gaines of Heflin; a daughter and her husband, Kristi and Jimmy Lines of Heflin; a son and his wife, Gary and Tara Gaines of Oxford; a sister, Wynette Houck of White Plains; a brother, Jack Houck of DeArmanville; and six grandchildren, Brianna Gaines, Drake Lines, Caden Lines, Dexter Gaines, Zachary Gaines and Jacob Gaines.

Pallbearers will be Howard Gaines, Kenny Benefield, Mark Gaines, Terry Wingo, Michael Wingo and Bob Lines.

Mrs. Gaines was a native of Calhoun County and had lived in Cleburne County for the past 33 years. She was a former employee of Classé Ribbon in Anniston and a member of Bellview Baptist Church in Lineville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abb and Ethel Houck; and a brother, Lewis Houck.

Services for Jessie Lois Gay, 88, of Roanoke, formerly of Woodland, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Big Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Hanna officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gay died Sunday at Randolph Medical Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Geraldine Heard of Oxford, Meldarine Green of Ladson, S.C. and Kathy King of Dalton, Ga.; a sister, Lera Davis of LaGrange, Ga.; five grandchildren, Shannon Cox, Julie Ann McCrackin, Deborah Butler, Donald Heard and Patricia Champion; eight great-grandchildren, Brandy Brooks, Brandon Heard, Chelsea Heard, Brady Heard, Darby Heard, Laura Champion, Lea Champion and Dylan McCrackin; and two great-great-grandchildren, Logan Brooks and Brianna Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Donald Heard, Winford Champion, Pepper Brooks, Chris Cox, Carlton Yarbrough, Ted Noles, Barry Hammonds and Danny Butler.

Mrs. Gay was a native of Randolph County and the daughter of Thomas Washington Yarbrough and Julie Savannah Moore Yarbrough. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Handley Gay.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Big Springs Baptist Church.
