CENTRE

Services for Ollie Robert "Bob" Ozment, 81, of Centre will be tonight at 7:30 at Perry Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Higgin-botham officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Randall Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Ozment died Monday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Ozment; a daughter and her husband, Connie and Jimmy Williams of Centre; a daughter-in-law, June Ozment of Leesburg; two sisters, Gussie Dodson of Jacksonville and Margaret and Naaman Wood of Aragon, Ga.; two grandchildren, Paige Williams and Larry Shannon Ozment; a great-grandchild, Skye Ozment, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ozment was a native of Cherokee County and was the son of the late Ollie Franklin and Ola Belle Allen Ozment. He was a World War II veteran and a retired cabinetmaker. He was a Methodist and was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ozment.

Mrs. Parks died Tuesday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega.

Services for Elizabeth Ann Bell Turner, 63, of Gadsden will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at Dryden Funeral Home in Heflin.

Mrs. Turner died in Barbour County.

Services for Catherine Vera Rankin Webb, 88, of Piedmont will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Revs. Ed Coogler and Derek Smith officiating. Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Webb died Tuesday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, George Ivey Webb of Piedmont; two daughters and their husbands, Glenda and Bobby Glover and Debbie and Dennis Ragsdale, all of Piedmont; two sisters, Vela Upton and Mae Brown, both of Piedmont; a brother, Lother Rankin of Piedmont; six grandchildren, Cathy Studdard, Mike Glover, Susan James, Adam Ragsdale, Amy Ragsdale and Alison Ragsdale; five great-grandchildren, Joseph Humphrey, Josh Humphrey, Alisa Kelley, Kelsie Ragsdale and Maggie Ragsdale; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Erica James and Haley James; and her caregivers, Genile Cox, Cindy Matthews, Kay Langston, Kelly Durham, Margaret Donley, Eunice Humphrey and Helen Morgan.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Glover, Dennis Ragsdale, Adam Ragsdale, Mike Glover, David Studdard and Eric James.

Mrs. Webb was a native and lifelong resident of the Piedmont area. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Piedmont and was retired from SCT Yarn after 46 years of service.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272; or the Hospice of East Alabama, P.O. Box 2581, Anniston, AL 36202.

Services for Billy Ray "Big Hat" Williams, 53, of Anniston will be today at 2 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. The body will be at the chapel an hour prior to services.

Mr. Williams died Oct. 30 at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Wade of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a son, Warren Wade of Anniston; a sister, Georgia Green of Anniston; two brothers, Robert Williams Jr. and David Mays, both of Anniston, and two grandchildren.

Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Anniston and was an Army veteran.

Graveside services for Joey Glenn Williams, 8, of Talladega will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Revs. James Woodin and Bill Gandy officiating and Usrey Funeral Home in charge.

The youth died Tuesday at Children's Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include his parents, Rip and Janet Williams of Talladega; two sisters, Brooke Williams and Sami Williams, both of Talladega; a brother, Trae Williams of Talladega; and his grandparents, Howard and Hazel Williams and Marlene Patterson, all of Talladega and Bill and Jo Patterson.

Pallbearers will be Tres Love, Mike Martin, Donald Langley, Colt Langley, Daton Presley and Chris Martin.

The youth was a member of Bemiston United Methodist Church and the Redskins soccer team. He was a student at R.L. Young Elementary School.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Talladega Department of Human Resources Foster Child Playground Fund.

Ms. Bell died Saturday in Eufaula.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mertie Louise and Charlie Pullen of Chulafinnee; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie and Dirk Andrew Pollock of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Larry E. Bell of Chulafinnee; a sister, Jane B. Brooks of Heflin, and a grandchild.

Ms. Bell was a native of Cleburne County. She was a former flight attendant for Delta and TransWorld airlines. She was an educator and was retired from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burt died Tuesday at UAB Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Dale Burt of Oxford; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin D. Burt of Anniston and Stephen Craig and Kimberly Burt of Weaver; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela Denise and Scott McDaniel of Anniston and Rhonda Burt Williamson of Oxford; two sisters, Mary McCoy of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Virginia Batey of Oxford; her mother, Alice C. Watson of Oxford, and eight grandchildren

Mrs. Burt was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a first degree black belt in TaeKwonDo and a pioneer of open heart surgery 36 years ago. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Watson, and a grandchild, Lindsay Burt.

Survivors include two daughters, Jane Nelson and Peggy Tidwell, both of Anniston; a son, Howard Feazell of Anniston, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Feazell was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Feazell, and a great-grandchild, Michael Brooks.

Services for Jerald Scott Groce, 20, of Lincoln will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Church of God in Christ with Elder Timothy Hoffman Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Ragland Cemetery in Talladega with Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Groce died Monday at University Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include his parents, Alfred E. Groce Sr. and Linda Ragland Groce of Lincoln; two sisters, Stacey Groce and Andrea Groce, both of Lincoln; and a brother, Alfred E. Groce Jr. of Lincoln.

Mr. Groce was a member of St. Mark Church of God in Christ and was a 2000 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was preceded in death by a sister, Talina Groce; and his grandparents, A.J. and Geraldine Story and Clenon and Sara Groce.

Mr. Grogan died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include a son, William A. Grogan Jr. of Huntsville, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Grogan was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he served on the official board. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service Talladega office and a World War II veteran.
