Hardee

ALPINE

Services for Howard "Bill" Lewis Hardee, 84, of Alpine will be today at 2 p.m. at Riser's Chapel United Methodist Church in Alpine with Rev. Ralph Griffitt officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Hardee died Tuesday at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie Campbell of Hueytown; a son, Gary Hardee of Alpine; five sisters, Ruby Holley, Faye Butler and Mary Houston, all of Childersburg, Waxie Frost of Winterboro and Barbara Cruise of Alpine; seven brothers, Jim Hardy of San Bernadino, Calif., Preston Hardy of Flomaton, Doc Hardy of Comerdale and Ray Hardy, Billy Hardy, Robert Gigs Hardy and Larry Hardy, all of Winterboro, four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Frost, Tommy Frost, Jack Holley, Scott Holley, Tim Butler and Joey Butler.

Mr. Hardee was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was retired from Kimberly Clark Corp. and was a Methodist.

Hendrix

OXFORD

Services for Dorothy Miller Hendrix, 82, of Oxford will be today at noon at Antioch Baptist Church with Revs. Ronnie Moore and Craig Young officiating. Burial will be in Oxford Memorial Gardens with Miller Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Hendrix died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray Hendrix of Heflin and Harry C. Hendrix of Anniston; five daughters, Juanita Faye Waldrop of Munford, Harriet Frances Carrell of Oxford, Patricia M. Griffin of Saks, T. Sharion Wilkinson of Golden Springs and Marion Minet of Joliet, Ill.; a sister, Francis Ray of Georgia; 24 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Coley, Rodney Griffin, Shane Griffin, Johnny Williams, Buckey Hendrix, Stanley Coley, Jeffrey Coley and Keith Griffin.

Mrs. Hendrix was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Oxford Senior Citizens Group. She had been a Pink Lady volunteer at Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Morton Hendrix; and a daughter, Janet Gayle Hendrix.

Lee

TALLADEGA

Graveside services for Brianne Nicole Lee, 22, of Talladega will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Larry Parker officiating and Usrey Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 5:30-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Miss Lee died Wednesday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Melody and Chuck Woodard of Talladega; her father, John Lee of Mobile; a sister, Jessica Lee of Talladega; a brother, Jeremiah Lee of Talladega; her grandparents, Joe and Nita Tate and Emmett Lee, all of Mobile; her stepgrandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy E. Woodard of Munford; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Miss Lee was a native of Mobile and had lived in Talladega seven years. She was a cosmetologist in Talladega and Birming-ham. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Lee.

Pearson

JACKSONVILLE

Graveside services for infant Bradley Trey Pearson of Jacksonville will be today at 11 a.m. at Jacksonville City Cemetery with Rev. David Duke officiating and Chapel Hill Funeral Home in charge.

The infant died Sunday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include his mother, Lacey Cambron of Jacksonville; his father, Donald Pearson of Jacksonville; his grandparents, Joyce Fuller of Alexandria, Pam Cambron of Chicago and Roger Edwards of Anniston; and his great-grandparents, Joyce Fuller of Jacksonville and Betty Cambron and Craig Cambron, both of Chicago.

The infant was a native of Calhoun County and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Pearson and great-grandfather, W.L. Fuller.

Smith

MUNFORD

Services for R.L. Smith, 88, of Munford will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Munford with George Adams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday at Talladega Health Care Center.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Smith of Atlanta; two daughters, Faye Adams of Boaz and Bonnie Stephens of Munford; two stepsons, Rex Hiett of Atlanta and Max Hiett of Jackson, Ga.; a brother, J. Hugh Smith of Munford, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Darren Genz, Preston Stephens, Tommy Seriana, Barry Adams, Todd Adams and Rex Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be church elders.

Waddell

Services for Eva Thomas Waddell, 87, of Anniston will be today at 2 p.m. at Forestlawn Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Ralph Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Mausoleum with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the mausoleum.

Mrs. Waddell died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a caregiver, Anita Jones of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Waddell was a lifelong resident of Anniston and was retired from AOD. She was a member of the Eastern Star for years and a member of Noble Street Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Noble Street Baptist Church.

Graveside services for Hattie Ginn Ward, 84, of Anniston will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Rev. David Ginn officiating and Chapel Hill Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ward died Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Ellen and Sidney Simpson and Opal and Bob Ingram, all of Weaver and Dorothy "Cricket" and Jesse Gardner of Anniston; a brother, Virgil Ginn of Tallapoosa, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Larry Fair, Roger Fair, Gene Fair, Randy Fair, Rodney Rich, Gary Rich and Rita Rich; a stepgrandchild, Tina Higgins; seven great-grandchildren, Christina Fair, Carrie Fair, Jessica Fair, Taylor Fair, Rachel Fair, Ashley Rich and Matthew Rich; and a step-great-grandchild, Dalton Higgins.

Pallbearers will be Larry Fair, Roger Fair, Randy Fair, Rodney Rich, Matthew Rich and Ricky Ginn. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Fair and Gary Rich.

Mrs. Ward was a native of Cleburne County and had lived in Calhoun County 51 years. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Walker Ward.

Brooks

Services for Gloria J. Brooks, 61, of Anniston, formerly of Birmingham, will be Saturday at noon at 17th Street Baptist Church with Elder P.A. Satcher, the Rev. P.Q. English and Bishop James Truss officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Brooks died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Katrinia Brooks Blackwell of Atlanta and Althea Ashford of Anniston; four sons, LeGene Brooks of Lubbock, Texas and Charles Brooks, Melvin Jackson and Dariontae Brooks, all of Anniston; her mother, Della Trammell of Anniston; five sisters, Joyce Fox of Cleveland, Maxine Ellison and Linda Ray, both of Decatur, Dorothy Johnson of Anniston and Karla Bush of Atlanta; six brothers, Eulice Fox, Ralph Fox and Willie Moore Jr., all of Cleveland, Willie Ashford of Columbus, Ga., Melvin Ashford of Atlanta and Larry Ashford of Anniston; a special friend, Russell Williams of Anniston, 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be sons and nephews.

Mrs. Brooks was a native of Birmingham and a longtime resident of Anniston. She was the owner and operator of Gloria's House of Flowers and was a member of the American Association of Florists. She was a longtime member of Thankful Baptist Church and a member of the New Beginnings ministry. She was the vice president of both Anniston and Pell City Funeral Services.

Cameron

ROANOKE

Services for Louise Cameron, 86, of Roanoke will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Wadley with the Rev. Calvin Trammell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clark Memorial Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Cameron died Wednesday at Randolph Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosa Mae Wilson of Roanoke; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John L. and Sandra Wilson and Eddie L. and Mattie Wilson, all of Atlanta and Ronald Cameron of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Hattie Mae Cameron of Roanoke, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Cameron was preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Rosa Emma Cameron; and her former husband, Eddie B. Wilson.

Easterling

CLANTON

Services for Crawford Leon Easterling, 85, of Clanton, who was known by many in Anniston and surrounding areas as "the peach man," will be today at 2 p.m. at Sunshine Assembly of God with the Revs. Thurmon Cleckler, Tony Smitherman and Arthur Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Easterling died Wednesday at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Easterling of Clanton; three grandchildren, Sharon Kay Vaughn, Shelley Denise Hayes and Kenyon K. Easterling; and four great-grandchildren, Johnathan Vaughn, Brandon Vaughn, Caleb Hayes and Jill Hayes.

Mr. Easterling was a native of Chilton County and was a farmer. For more than 54 years, he brought peaches and tomatoes to Anniston and sold them from the back of his truck and in area offices.

Services for Michael Garrett of Talladega will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

Mr. Garrett died Thursday in Talladega.
