Mallard

Services for Nettie Green Mallard, 86, of Anniston will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Dr. Billy L. Harris officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Mallard died Saturday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include five sons, Ben H. Green of Kentucky, Billy R. Green of Anniston, Bobby C. Green, W.H. "Hank" Green and Tim W. Green, all of Jacksonville; a daughter, Frances G. Doss of Anniston; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Gertrude Bell Sunday School Class at Parker Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mallard was a resident of Jacksonville for most of her life and had resided in Anniston for 26 years. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church, where she was in the Gertrude Bell Sunday School Class and the Women's Mission Union. Mrs. Mallard was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her first husband, W. Henry Green; and her second husband, Ralph N. Mallard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Ave., Anniston, 36201.

Timmons

Services for Helen B. Timmons, 92, of Anniston, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel with Rev. Richard Flood officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Timmons died Saturday.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Timmons of Anniston; a son, Billy E. Timmons of Anniston; a sister Ruth Oswalt of Coldwater; two grandchildren, Keith Timmons and David Timmons; and two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Timmons and Emily Timmons.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mrs. Timmons was born in Oxanna and was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anniston. She was a homemaker, serving as a pink lady for more than 20 years. Mrs. Timmons was preceded in death by her husband, W.E. "Bill" Timmons.

Turner

LINCOLN

Services for Raymond Frank Turner, 71, of Lincoln, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Abernathy officiating. Burial will be in the Plum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-8 tonight at the Miller Funeral Home. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services.

Mr. Turner died Friday at his home.

Survivors include two daughters, Violet L. Johnson of Wellington, and Lisa Ann Taylor of Bynum; one son, Raymond Lee Turner of Lincoln; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Turner was a Cleburne County native and a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

Wooten

Services for Alma P. Wooten, 96, of Anniston, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Harvest Church of God with Revs. Jerry Irwin, Paul Henson, O.V. Sewell and Johnny Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.

Mrs. Wooten died Sunday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Willene Fair of Georgia, Kathleen Berry of Anniston and Nell Wooten of Florida; one son, Calvin Wooten of Anniston; two sisters, Adell Smith of Georgia, and Audrey Davidson of Fyffe; four grandchildren, Lane Fair, Angela Strange, Lynn Sansom and Lisa Duke; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Taylor, Kenneth Goodwin, Oscar Kadle, Barney Newsome, Rocky Russell and John L. Cash.

Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Wooten, and one grandson, Joseph Wooten.

Donations may be made to the Harvest Church of God Building Fund, 520 Golden Springs Rd., Anniston, 37207.

Services for Ruth M. Young, 87, of Anniston will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory with Rev. Deryl Wood officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young died Sunday at Baptist Medical Center Montclair in Birmingham.

Survivors include one son, Virgil H. Young of Milton, Fla.; a brother, Joseph L. Morris and his wife, Dorothy, of San Antonio; two sisters, Dellie Ragan and Lillie Mae Morris, both of Anniston; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Dan Bowen, Dan O'Rear, Ray Ragan, Michael Ragan, John Amberson and Ronnie Bowen.

Mrs. Young was an Anniston resident most of her life and was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Josephine Powell, and a great-grandson, Andrew Bowen.

Services for Luisella Alexander, 78, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Alexander died Thursday at University Hospital in Birmingham.

WEAVER

Graveside services for Doris Faye Bolden, 66, of Weaver will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bolden died Friday at Regional Medical Center.

Garmany

DECATUR

Services for Woodrow Wesley "W.W." Garmany, 85, of Decatur, formerly of Centre, will be today at 1 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home in Centre with Revs. Phillip Sessions and David Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends three hours prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Garmany died Wednesday at his home.

Survivors include four sons, Wesley Garmany of Danville, Gary Garmany of Decatur and Donald Garmany and Gerald Garmany, both of Lafayette, Ga.; two daughters, Gloria Craig of Raleigh, N.C. and Betty Lowrance of Trion, Ga., 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Garmany, Greg Garmany, Jason Craig, Mark Craig, Doyle Garmany and Brandon Garmany.

Mr. Garmany was a native of Georgia and was the son of Wesley and Roxie Lemon Garmany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Annis Garmany.

Reaves

TALLADEGA

Graveside services for retired Army Sgt. 1st Class Harold E. Reaves, 79, of Talladega will be today at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Ford officiating and Usrey Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Reaves died Thursday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy H. Reaves of Talladega; a daughter and her husband, Robin and Don Heath of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Ruby Nell Payton of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Zachary Heath and Aaron Heath.

Mr. Reaves was a native of Coldwater and had lived in Ragland most of his life. He had lived in Talladega 30 years. He was a 29-year Army veteran with service in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Talladega Masonic Lodge and had worked for the Community Action Agency and the Talladega County Sheriff's Department. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot.

Thomas

FORTSON, Ga.

Graveside services with full military honors for Ricky Wayne Thomas, 45, of Fortson were Friday at 11 a.m. at Parkhill Cemetery with Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in charge.

Mr. Thomas died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Thomas of Fortson; a daughter and her husband, Joyce Lynn and Adam Matthew Husk of Fortson; two sons, Ricky Wayne Thomas Jr. and Jimmy Lee Thomas, both of Anniston; his mother, Willie Crook Thomas of Anniston; three sisters, Doris Thomas, Ceresa Thomas and Zelda Holder, all of Anniston; four brothers, William Thomas, Timothy Thomas, John Thomas and Bobby Thomas, all of Anniston; his father-in-law, William Croley of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Charles K. Croley of Columbus and Bill and Deb Croley of Fortson; two grandchildren, Layla Brianne Husk and Jacob Thomas; a niece, Christy Hughes; and 11 other nieces and nephews.

Mr. Thomas was a native of Anniston and was a 20-year Army veteran. He had lived in the Fortson area since 1988 and was a National and Columbus Chapter member of Harleys Owners Group. He was an inspector with Uniroyal Textile Company. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Thomas.

Ward

BOWDON, Ga.

Services for Harvey Lewis Ward, 87, of Bowdon will be today at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Campground United Methodist Church with Revs. Derrick Smith and Ray Runyan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Rainwater and West Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Ward died Thursday at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Ga.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dwight Ward of LaFayette and Jerry and Paulette Ward of Bowdon; a daughter, Ima Jean Hester of Lanett, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Mr. Ward was a native of Randolph County and a member of Bethlehem Campground United Methodist Church, where he was the pianist and choir director. He taught singing school many years and was retired from The Rock Store. He was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Eugenia Benford Ward; his wife, Evelyn Spruill Ward; six brothers, Henry Ward, William Ward, Albert Ward, Jeff Ward, Cicero Ward and Sanders Ward; and two sisters, Alma Ward Wiggins and Fannie Mae Lovvorn.
