Hagan

RANBURNE

Services for infant Elijah Scott Hagan of Ranburne will be 4 p.m. E.S.T. today at Crumbley’s Chapel Church of God with Revs. Van Brown, Neal Fowler, Tim Coppock and Casey Smith officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery with Rainwater-West Funeral Home in charge.

Hagan died Saturday at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Holley Johnson Hagan of Ranburne; two sisters, Alicia Hagan and Harley Hagan of Bremen, Ga.; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Barbara Hagan of Buchanan, Ga.; a paternal great-grandmother, Minnie Ola Ploof of Buchanan; maternal grandparents, Joan and Jim Osborne of Carrollton, Ga.; maternal grandfather, Vinson Johnson of Ranburne; maternal great-grandmother Rubye Dearman of Bowdon, Ga.; maternal great-grandmother, Hazel Johnson of Ranburne.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, D.C. Dearman.

Haynes

EASTABOGA

Funeral services for Linda Gayle Haynes, 55, of Eastaboga will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Winston Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Bynum.

Mrs. Haynes died Saturday at Medical Center East in Birmingham.

Survivors include a sister and her husband, JoAnne and Kenneth McAdams of Eastaboga; a brother and his wife, Courtney and T.J. Haynes of Pell City; three nephews and their spouses, Kenny and Kelly McAdams of Birmingham, Chad McAdams of Eastaboga; Dennis and Jana Smith of Crumley’s Chapel/Birmingham; a niece and her husband, Leslie and Alan Brewer of Columbia, S.C.; a great-niece, Maggie Brewer and a great-nephew, Murphy Smith.

Pallbearers will be security officers and fellow employees from the St. Clair County Correctional Facility.

Mrs. Haynes was retired from the State of Alabama after 31 years of service. She most recently worked at the St. Clair Correctional Facility for 14 years and had been an active member of the Alabama State Employees Association. She had been a member of the “Sun Rays” at Springville Methodist Church for several years. She was also involved with the tape ministry of Springville First Baptist Church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bynum.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby B. Haynes.

Howard

WEAVER

Services for Charles C. Howard, 83, of Weaver will be announced by Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Howard died Sunday at his residence.

Triplett

Services for Kenneth Owen Triplett, 76, of Anniston, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Anniston in the Acker Chapel with Revs. Woodfin Groove and Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens with Gray Brown- Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Triplett died Saturday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Jim and Kristi Triplett of Graham; a daughter, Susan Ellis of Gadsden; three grandchil-dren, Kimberly Triplett, Kelly Triplett, Drew Triplett and a special friend, Jean Pearly.

Pallbearers will be Dan Brown, David Boozer, Wheeler Hardy, Van Hamilton, Bob Couch, and Les Pair. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Carre Sunday School Class of the First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Triplett was a native of Talladega County and lived in Calhoun County where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was active in the Carre Sunday School Class as well as the Calhoun County Meals on Wheels program. Mr. Triplett served as president of the Saks High School Band Boosters and the Saks High School PTA. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He served was a World War II Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Triplett.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church of Anniston, 1400 Noble St., Anniston, AL 36201.

Ayers

TUSCALOOSA

Services for Donis Louise Smith Ayers, 78, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Ragland and Pell City, will be today at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ayers died Sunday in Tuscaloosa.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Denise and Scott Hunt of Wellington; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Martha and Glynn Lonergan of Pell City and Annie Roe and Myrtle and Dan Roe, all of Cropwell; a grandchild, Danielle Hunt; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ayers had lived in Tuscaloosa for five years and had been a member of Arbor Baptist Church since 1954.

Baldwin

ROANOKE

Services for Barbara Ann Baldwin, 60, of Roanoke will be today at 3 p.m. at Woodland Church of God with Revs. Carolyn Hanner and David Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Potash Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The family will receive friends until one hour prior to service time today at the funeral home. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Baldwin died Sunday at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Grover Clinton Baldwin of Roanoke; three daughters, Belinda Henderson of Woodland and Rebecca Baldwin and Cindy Lambert, both of Roanoke; a son, Clint Baldwin of Wedowee; her mother, Maggie Smith Mitchell of Summerville, Ga.; two sisters, Linda York and Shirley Austin, both of Summerville; a brother, Gene Mitchell of Summerville; a grandchild, Lance Henderson; and two stepgrandchildren, Tim Henderson and Wanda Henderson.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Benefield, Gene Benefield, Clark Benefield, Jason Mitchell, Keith Roulane and Jimmy Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Baldwin was a native of Randolph County and was preceded in death by her father, Harve Mitchell. She was a member of Woodland Church of God and had worked at Plantation Patterns before becoming disabled.

Brown

WEAVER

Graveside services for Hamilton E. Brown, 73, of Weaver will be today at 2 p.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Rev. Jim Kelley officiating and Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel in charge.

Mr. Brown died Monday in Weaver.

Survivors include his wife, Norma J. “Buddy” Brown of Weaver; two daughters, Donna Lynn Brown of Weaver and Devery Lynette Dingler of Alexandria; three sisters, Catherine McCormick and Elouise Howle, both of Heflin and Shirley Brown of Weaver; a grandchild, Blake Dingler; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Brown was a native of Calhoun County, where he lived most of his life. He served in the Air Force and was self-employed as a building contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton and Mattie Brown.

Cannon

GULFPORT, Miss.

Services for Doris Mildred “Aunt Dot” Cannon, 75, of Gulfport, formerly of Anniston, will be today at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in Anniston with Rev. Billy Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery with Kent Funeral Home and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge.

Mrs. Cannon died Sunday in Eufaula.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph W. Cannon III of Gulfport; Warren T. Cannon of Orlando, Fla. and Wayne B. Cannon of Anniston; a daughter, Rachel Ann Williams of Eufaula; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Cannon was born in Anniston and was a member of Glen Addie Baptist Church. She was retired from Walt Disney World where she worked as a child care supervisor. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald J. Cannon and Daniel M. Cannon; a daughter, Charlotte Judith Cannon; and her parents, John Franklin and Ada Stephens Cannon.

Craven

MARIETTA, Ga.

Services for Debbie Craven, 45, of Marietta will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. L.C. Harris officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight and until one hour prior to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Miss Craven died Sunday in Austell, Ga.

Survivors include her parents, Pervis S. and Ann Craven of Marietta; and a brother, Mike Craven of Marietta.

She was a native of Fulton County, Ga.

Howard

WEAVER

Services for Charles Clayton Howard, 83, of Weaver will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Crump officiating. Burial will be in Rainbow City Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Howard died Sunday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Roxie Howard of Weaver; two sons, Allen Keith Howard of Ohatchee and Richard M. Wynn of Tilton, Ill.; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mr. Howard was a native of Paxton, Ill., and had lived in Weaver many years. He was retired from Chase Power and Equipment and was a Protestant. He was preceded in death by two sons, Stanley Lawrence Howard and Warren Clay Howard.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Hospice of East Alabama.
