Survivors include her mother Lela Sawyer of Fayetteville, TN, daughters Lisa Neely of Flintville, TN, Joyce Eason of Huntsville, AL, son James Owens of Fayetteville, TN, sisters Wanda Faye Hudson, Betty Joyce Gordon both of Fayetteville, TN, Brenda Jo Cowart of New Hope, AL, brothers Bobby Sawyers of Fayetteville, TN Thomas Sawyers of Orlando, FL, Larry Sawyers of Nashville, TN, and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Marie Mearse, age 75, who died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Glen Oaks Nursing Home, will be held Monday, March 25, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the graveside in the Riverview Memorial Gardens with Paul Shearin officiating. Mrs. Mearse was a Bedford County native, homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include sister Cora Lee Eddy of Fayetteville, TN, brothers James Dial of Lynchburg, TN and Claudie Dial of Flintville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. ‘Randall’ Ray Graham, age 67, who died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at the Lincoln Medical Center, will be held Thursday, March 28, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with James Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Wright Cemetery. Mr. Graham was a native of Lincoln County, retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Violet Edmondson Pendergrass of Flintville, TN, daughters Linda Simmons, Carolyn Couch both of Flintville, TN, Sandra Stone of Fayetteville, TN, son Donnie Pendergrass of Ooltewah, TN, sisters Virginia Honea of Fayetteville, TN, Violet Ridgeway of Arab, AL, brother Harvie Pendergrass of Clarksville, TN, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
