Mrs. Randolph was a native of Lincoln County, a tow motor operator for Amana and a member of Holiness Church of God. Steelman, age 79, of Lynchburg, who died Friday, February 28, 2003 in Harton Hospital, will be conducted Monday, March 3, 2003 in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery. Mr. Steelman was a native of Lincoln County, a farmer, member of Charity Baptist Church and a member of the Metro Moore Co., Lynchburg Fire Department. Mr. Herman E. Jean
Funeral services for Mr. Herman E. Jean, age 89, of McDeal Road, Fayetteville, who died Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at his residence, will be held Friday, March 7, 2003 at 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home with Dr. Ricky Craft and Rev. Dewey Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Mr. Jean was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late Riley Jean and the late Frances Marie Askins Jean. He was a farmer and a member of Kirkland Baptist Church. He served 38 months with the 45th Division Artillery Infantry of the U.S. Army in France, Italy, Sicily and Germany. He was caught in a trap at Salerno, Italy and wounded during the invasion at Anzio Beach. He received a Bronze Star for the Sicilian Campaign and a Bronze Star for the Italian Campaign along with a Good Conduct Medal and the American Defense Medal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Christine Jean on November 18, 1997. He is survived by 2 sons: Wayne Jean & J.D. Jean both of Fayetteville; 3 grandchildren: Billy Jean, Jay Jean, Crissy LaFler; 2 great grandchildren: Kaylee Summer Jean, Tristan Rhett Lafler; 1 brother: J.R. Jean of Hazel Green, AL; 1 sister: Bonnie Craft of Athens, AL. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 until 8 P.M. at the Gallant Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Gavin Lee Williams, who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Harton Hospital in Tullahoma, will be conducted Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. in Flintville Cemetery. He was the infant son of Jeff Williams and Michelle Nix, who survive.
