JACKSON, Roberta A., 89, passed away January 5, 2011. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 3:00 pm at Southern Memorial. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. RINEHART, Elizabeth Dora

RINEHART, Elizabeth Dora died in her sleep December 26, 2010 at Jackson Hospital with her son and a close friend at her side. She was born in Harrogate, England on June 18, 1938 and was the daughter of Ralph Henderson and Dora Henderson, formerly Mossop. She married Robert Lyle Rinehart in 1961 and came to America in 1963. She is survived by her son, Robert Hugh Rinehart of Spartanburg, SC. Mrs. Rinehart was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lyle. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 8th at 2:00 pm at Saint Joseph of Arimathea Anglican Church at 355 Bell Rd. In keeping with Mrs. Rinehart's dedication to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless and abandoned cats, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made either to the Montgomery Humane Shelter at 1150 John Overton Dr, Montgomery, AL 36110 or to the ASPCA.

HENRY, Alfred Coleman, 97, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on December 31, 2010. AARON, Wilbur (Bill) Jr.

AARON, Wilbur (Bill) Jr., age 75, a resident of Wetumpka, AL; died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Montgomery after an extended illness. He was born in Montgomery, January 11, 1935 and a graduate of Wetumpka High School. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Pine View Memorial Gardens with a military service. A eulogy will be given by his nephew Wren Aaron. He is survived by his brother, William Warren Aaron; sisters, Mary Aaron Williams, Vivian Aaron Martin; 17 nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; also many Navy retirees, Hank Williams fans, school mates, and lifelong buddy, James M. (Billy) Hicks of Wetumpka. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur Fester and Jewell Burdette Aaron; sisters Francis Aaron Rountree, Ruby Aaron Andress, and Marie Aaron Panhorst. Bill was a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. He is a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was on the All Navy Volleyball, Softball and Basketball teams. He was a Charter Lifetime Member of the Hank Williams Museum. In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations may be made to the Hank Williams Museum in Montgomery, Alabama 36104.

SNUGGS, Sethe P., 72, of Autaugaville, AL, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2011. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Snuggs,; one daughter, Joy (Steve) Burgans; one son, Michael (Cindy) Snuggs; three step daughters, Carrie (Jerry) Beasley; Rene (Ronnie) Evans; Tracy (Randall) Boswell; two step sons, Gilbert (Christine) Little, Robby (Melissa) Gober; Sister, Joy (Bill) Miller; Brother, Clifford (Catherine) Snuggs; and sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Cubahatchie Baptist Church in Shorter, Alabama on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Mickey Castleberry and Rev. Chip Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Gowan was born on June 7, 1908 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ross Gowan, and brothers, Alvin Ross Gowan, Jr., Truett Coleman Gowan, Edward Paul Gowan, and sisters, Virginia Gowan and Josephine Gown Ayers. He was also predeceased by his first and second wives, Garnie Lou Polke and Mary Elizabeth Thomas as well as his first son, William Ross Gowan. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma Gowan. Survivors also include his three sons, John (Dorothy) Gowan, James (Kathy) Gowan, and Thomas (Melanie) Gowan, grandchildren, Elizabeth Gowan, William Ross (Tonya) Gowan, Jr., Dawn Gowan, Jennifer (Jeff) Minner, David Gowan, Melissa Cox, Rebekkah (Clint) Shepherd, Allison Gowan, Jim (Christie) Gowan, Matt (Melissa) Gowan, Amanda (Adam) Pemberton, and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Gowan serviced as a deacon for over 65 years. He taught the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Gideon Society. He was active in community and professional organizations. He had a great love for his lord, family and country. RABREN, Dorothy K. ("Dot"), age 72, a Montgomery resident, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery, and her Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-3PM, prior to the service. BROWN, Steven L.

BROWN, Steven L., lost his courageous battle with cancer on Friday, March 18, 2011. He was a 1976 graduate of Auburn University. He was employed by the State of Alabama for over 30 years and was currently working in the Finance Department. He was a long-time and active participant of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Central Alabama Woodcarving Club. Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife, Iris Edwards Brown; his parents, Jerry and Dorothy Brown; daughter, Stephanie Brown (Chris) Huovinen of Nashville; son, Gary L. Brown; step-daughter, Tracy Edwards (Jimmy) Pierce; step-son, William Bradley (Jennifer) Edwards; grandchildren, Loren Gayle Pierce, Daniel Cole Pierce and Katherine Iris Edwards; a brother, Greg (Deidre) Brown of Huntsville. The family greatly appreciates the loving care provided by Dr. Stephen Davidson, Steve's treatment nurse Terry Blackwell and all the nurses, staff and volunteers at the Montgomery Cancer Center. The family will be receiving visitors in the parlor at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 12:30 until 1:30. GRIFFIN, James Alfred, 67 of Montgomery, AL died peacefully Friday, March 18, 2011. Navy and retired from the U. S. Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Cherry Griffin, son, James Anthony Griffin; step-son, Peyton Ellis Cherry (Chrissy); two step-daughters, Angela Frassrand and Lesley Smith (Don); four step-grandchildren, Cassidy, Justine, Hayley, and Ellis; five brothers, Tommy, Bobby, Johnny, Jeffrey, and Donnie; one sister, Susan. The Reverend Wilbur Thomas KISSELL

The Reverend Wilbur Thomas KISSELL - a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Mobile, died Monday morning, March 14, 2011, while in hospice care at Allen Memorial Home, Mobile. Fr. Kissell was born in Denver, Colorado in 1925. He attended college at St. Thomas Seminary in Denver, Colorado (1942-1945); seminary and theology at Maryknoll Seminary in Maryknoll, New York (1945- 1949); and completed seminary at St. Mary Seminary, Baltimore, Maryland in 1951. He was ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ for the then-Diocese of Mobile, in Denver, Colorado, on June 2, 1951. Father Kissell's priestly assignments included: assistant pastor of St. Mary Parish, Mobile, 1951-1954; chaplain to St. Mary's Home, Mobile, 1954-1955; Administrator of Churches of Sumatra and Silverhill, Baldwin County, while in residence at the Cathedral Rectory, Mobile, 1954-1960; chaplain to Zimmer Memorial Home, Mobile, 1955- 1960; Pastor of Holy Infant of Prague Parish, Trussville, 1960-1967; chaplain to Catholic Boys Home, Mobile, 1967-1970; assistant pastor, Corpus Christi Parish, Mobile, 1970; chaplain to Providence Hospital, Mobile, 1970-1977; chaplain to Allen Memorial Home, Mobile, 1978-1981; Special Minister to the Sick, Montgomery area, 1981-1996; and Pastor of St. Andrew Parish, Montgomery, 1996- 2011. Father Kissell also served as Director of the Diocesan Youth Organization from 1978-1981. His years of priestly ministry reflected his special talent of ministering to both young and old, and most especially the infirmed. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 10 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 433 Clayton Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36103. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Monday, March 21, 2011 at Leak- Memory Chapel Funeral Home, 945 Lincoln Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, with the Office of the Dead at 6:00 P.M. Fr.
