Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Thurman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing. She leaves a legacy of love and faithful service to members of her church family, neighbors and devoted friends. Mrs. Tucker will lie in state one hour prior to services.

HEADLEY, Michael Brandon

HEADLEY, Michael Brandon, a resident of Prattville, AL died on Friday, March 18, 2011, at the age of 30. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2011, at 2:30 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Nick Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Hill Cemetery, Slap out, AL, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Brandon was a beloved son, father, brother, and uncle who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Leo and Loree Dennis, Willie and Lorene Chavers; one sister, Cathy Lynn Stephens, and one brother, Ricky Earl Headley. He is survived by his loving parents, Earl and Diane Headley; two sons, Collin and Chase Headley, and their mother, Amanda Carr; four sisters, Shanna (James) Lucas, Karen (Trey) Looney, DeAnn (Chris) Brown, and Hope (Jonathan) Dennis; grandmother, Marie Dennis; special friend, Jon Weaver; and numerous extended family members, and many more friends. Pallbearers will be Alan Smith, Jeremie Terrell, Dennis Wilson, Buck Brackin, Carey Dennis, and Michael Findley. Honorary pallbearers will include his nieces and nephews, Dylan, Dalton, and Devin Lucas, Kaden Goodson, Ryan and Alex Looney, Ashlynn and Hayden Brown, Emily and Laykin Dennis, Ricky Stephens, Michael Dandridge, and close friends Josh Gamache, and Justin Sheppard. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

MCGOUGH, Mrs. Ruth Ann; a resident of Wetumpka, Alabama passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 after extended illness at the age of 66. Memorial services will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.at Santuck Baptist Church. Ruth Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 29 years, J.O "Pete" McGough; step-sons, Joseph S. (Amy) McGough and Michael C. (Courtney) McGough; four grandchildren; and a longtime special friend, Nancy House. MADISON, Betty Sue Blackmon

MADISON, Betty Sue Blackmon, age 78, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on March 19, 2011 after an extensive illness. She was born in Weogufka, Alabama and was preceded in death by her parents Lobie and Irene Blackmon. Betty leaves behind to cherish her memories a devoted husband of 59 years, Richard F. Madison, Sr., four children: Martha Ann Madison, Richard F. Madison, Jr. and wife Cathy, Mary Sue Railey and husband Bruce, Robert C. Madison and wife Beth, and 8 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ann Baustert and brother William Blackmon (Bill), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving and devoted friends. She was a graduate of Bay High School in Panama City, Florida and attended the University of Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama and was involved in many civic and charitable organizations such as Child Evangelism and Campus Crusade for Christ. Betty will be remembered for her devout faith, optimism, and for having a gift of encouragement to others. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Montgomery Stakely Sanctuary with the Rev. Jay Wolf officiating. DAVIS, Mrs, Bernice Ratcliff

DAVIS, Mrs, Bernice Ratcliff, age 78, of Hattiesburg, MS died on January 29, 2011 at her residence. A private funeral service was held in Las Vegas with immediate family. Mrs. Davis was born on March 20, 1932 in Laurel, MS. She loved music and loved to dance. She owned several businesses working hard to accomplish her goals and dreams. She was an inspiration to all that knew her. She loved people and everyone loved her. She enjoyed her family most of all. She was full of wisdom and grace and was a Beautiful woman. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by Her mother, Mamie Pearl Ratcliff and her father, Burton A. Ratcliff. She is survived by her husband, Bro. Jack L. Davis; Daughter, Trecia Lynn Revis: Son, John Wesley Hassey; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 2 sisters. We Love and miss you. She was my mother and I miss her.

BRANCH, Marilyn Elizabeth, 76, a resident of Prattville, Alabama, died peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Mrs. Branch retired from the State of Alabama Health Department in 1997, as a secretary for the legal division. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Mrs. Branch was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maude Sturgess; and one brother, Stanley Sturgess. She survived by her husband, William O. Branch, Prattville, AL; two sons, Keith (Tammy) Dougherty, Norman, OK, and Darrell (Linda) Dougherty, San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Colleen (David) Mercer, Panama City, FL; one step-son, Malcolm (Janet) Branch, Prattville, AL; one step-daughter, Elizabeth (Jeff) Thompson, Alabaster, AL; several grandchildren and great- grandchildren; one brother, Norman (Bessie) Sturgess, San Bernadino, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many extended family members and friends. KIRKLAND, William "Bill" Landers

KIRKLAND, William "Bill" Landers passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, from complications associated with Parkinson's disease. He was married to Betty W. Kirkland (deceased). Bill was born on May 22, 1929, to Theo N. Kirkland and Ethel L. Kirkland in Montgomery, AL. The family also lived in Gladwater, TX, and Meridian, MS, where Bill graduated from high school. He earned a Chemistry Degree from Mississippi State University. After serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he spent the majority of his career as a drug representative for Bristol Laboratories. He was a member of Cloverdale Church of Christ and Panama Street Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Kirkland and sister, Janice Cusick. Bill is survived by two sons, Greg A. Kirkland of Montgomery and Dale L. Kirkland (Angela) of Madison, AL; a daughter, Deborah L. Kirkland (Keith Greenhill) of Tuscaloosa; a brother, Dr. Theo N. Kirkland, Jr. (Jeannie) of Birmingham; grandchildren, Laurie Proctor (Jeff) and Kerrie Holloway (Chad); nieces Rebecca Kirkland Stephenson, Amy Myers (George), Beverly Everson (Bob), Elizabeth Cusick; nephews Dr. Theo N. Kirkland, III (Grace), Peter Kirkland (Katie Lane), Ky Kirkland (Linda), Mark Beaumann, Eddie Covington (Jean), Rex Holloman, Eric Holloman; and sisters-in- law, Dorothy W. Hays and Ann Thorburn. We are eternally grateful to Ms. Beatrice Aaron who cared for Bill so lovingly for the past few years and we appreciate the expert care and thoughtfulness of the staff of 1 East Baptist Medical Center East. Visitation will be held at White Chapel on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at 12:00 with a graveside service following at 1:00 at Greenwood Cemetery. GREGORY, Lawrence Lee, of Wetumpka died suddenly on April 23, 2011. Larry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Billy and Mary Mefford Gregory.He moved around as a child, living in Texas, England, Missouri and Florida before finding a home in Alabama. He was a long-time employee of the Alabama Historical Commission/Fort Toulouse National Historic Park. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Betz; his three beloved children Seth, Anna and Ian of Wetumpka; his mother Mary Gregory of Panama City, FL; his sister Laurie Gregory Bell of Gainesville, FL; his nephews Gregory Bell of Greensboro, NC and Rob Bell of Gainesville, FL; his nieces Jodi Perraud of Sunrise, FL and Kim Clarke of Wesley Chapel, FL; and a host of family and friends. Larry enjoyed history, travel, Bob Dylan, the beach, Alfa Romeos, the Cincinnati Reds and the Florida Gators, but foremost he cherished his family, who were the most important thing in his life.
