GRIFFITH, Ouida "Weda", age 84, died Tuesday, November 1, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Griffith. She is survived by her step sons, Don Griffith and Sydney Griffith; step daughter, Nell Campbell; sisters, Mildred Nichols and Dot Dilly (Harold); brother, Homer Sexton (Louise); nieces, Sherry Bryant, Shawn Tebbetts, Dawn Sexton, Gayle Grayson, Wanda Head and Beverly Balentine and nephews, Dennis Dilly, Byron Owens and Ronnie Todd. Mrs. Griffith was a Charter member of Danielville Baptist Church and attended services there her entire life. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 4th at 1:00 pm at the Danielville Baptist Church in Honoraville, Al., with Rev. Jim Looney, Rev. Joe Leverette and Rev. Harry Driggers officiating the service. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens in Millbrook. Pallbearers will be Dennis Dilly, Byron Owens, Ronnie Todd, Jared Dilly, Jason Dilly and Terry Bryant. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3rd at Leak Memory Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. HARRINGTON, Mrs. Willie Ruth Peel, 90, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Marvin Ennis and Rev. Paul Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Barnhart (Charles) and Brenda McLeod; two sisters, Beatrice Reeves and Ruby Nell Lewis (Frank); 12 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren,15 great- great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Harrington, granddaughter, Cynthia Lail, and great-grandson, Michael Casey. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Flowers, Jr., Ronny Butland, Anthony Peel, Ricky Witherington, Tyser Ratliff and Michael Lance Casey. Honorary pallbearers will be W.K. MOORE, Ms. Jeffie Huffman, 81, affectionately called "Tillie" passed away on Oct. 28, 2011. She was born on October 26, 1930 to Jeff and Mittie Huffman. She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by by her parents, one child, three sisters, and two brothers. She served as a nurse's assistant in Bronx, NY for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the International F & AM Masons and Order of the Eastern Star, Sister Ruth Chapter #15. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Montgomery, Alabama with Dr. Rev. Jiles Williams officiating. RODRIGUEZ, Josephine Ward, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend spread her wings and went to be with her Master and Savior on Monday, October 31, 2011 after a long illness. Visitation will be held at Ridout's Prattville Chapel on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 12:00 pm following the visitation. Burial will follow in Coosa River Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Howell, Carl Oates, Greg Ward, Christian Rocha, Gene Manning, Matt Clarizio, Paul Jones, and Joe Rodriguez. Josephine was born on October 14, 1938 in Montgomery, AL to L.T. and Gertrude E. (Manning) Ward and attended Marbury High School. She attended nursing school at St. Margaret's Hospital. She married John Rodriguez, Jr. on March 26, 1977 in Colorado Springs, CO. She loved to hunt and fish. Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Henry T. Ward. Survivors include her husband, John M. Rodriguez, Jr.; daughter, Debra J. Clarizio and her husband Matt; son, Joe Rodriguez and his wife Valerie; son, Paul R. Jones; son, Steven Rodriguez; sisters, Elizabeth Howell and Evelyn Oates; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Josephine was a past High Priestess of Alaska Shrine, member of Daughter of the Nile of Texas, an Eastern Star and Worthy Matron of LOSNA #4 of Valdez, AK. Her love of life and family was only surpassed by her love of God. She was one of the kindest, most loving, and gentle people on this earth. Always there to listen and understand with love and offer a helping hand. To know Josephine was to love her as she was full of life and laughter. Her sweet smile, loving hugs, and tender gestures will surely be missed. She shall surely be a beautiful gem in God's Treasure Chest shining brightly down upon us. Until we meet again.
