GLADYS CASH

Former Columbiana resident

Gladys Cash, 91, of Montgomery and formerly of Columbiana died Sept. 16, 2003, at her home. She was born in November 1911 in Columbiana.

She is survived by her children, Jesse P. Knighton of Las Vegas, Nev., Roy A. Knighton of Center Point, Jeanette Bell of Montgomery and James Cash of Augusta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Franklin McGiboney; and three sisters, Bertha Cunningham, Ruth O'Quin and Elizabeth Smith.

Service was Sept. 21 at Bolton Brown Service Chapel, the Rev. Royce Senn presiding. Burial followed in Columbiana City Cemetery, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

HUEY DOCKERY

Maylene resident

Huey Dockery, 78, of Maylene died Sept. 20, 2003, in Alabaster.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Marie Dockery of Maylene; two daughters, Sue Roper of Maylene and Tammy Ingram of Helena; one son, Billy Gene Dockery of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Service was Sept. 23 at Rockco's Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo, Brother Tommy Johnson presiding. Burial followed at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Maylene, Rockco's directing.

JOHN S. EADES

Columbiana resident

John S. Eades, 94, of Columbiana died Sept. 20, 2003. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Leeds where he taught Sunday school for many years. He retired from Hayes Aircraft after many years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Nell Broockholdt of Columbiana; his sister-in-law, Jerry Broockholdt of Columbiana; his brother-in-law, Frank Broockholdt of Childersburg; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was Sept. 22 at Elmwood Cemetery, Jimmy Earnest presiding and Ridout's Elmwood Chapel directing.

KIM KLECKNER GUY

Harpersville resident

Kim Kleckner Guy, 48, of Harpersville died Sept. 19, 2003 near Fort Payne, Ala., as a result of a motorcycle accident. She was killed along with her husband, Larry. She was employed by Regions Bank for 30 years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, William E. "Bill" Kleckner; her brother, Lynn Kleckner of Pekin, Ill.; and her nephew, Christopher M. Gaines of Birmingham.

She is survived by her mother, Nita Kleckner; two step-children, Heather G. (Warren) Callahan of Talladega and Honey G. (Chris) Crim of Munford; her brother, Bill (Kathy) Kleckner; her sister, Marcia K. (Clyde) Gaines; three step-grandchildren, Courtney and Abby Grace Callahan of Talladega and Camille Crim of Munford; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be Friday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Trussville Chapel with burial following in Jefferson Gardens East.

LARRY OWEN GUY

Harpersville resident

Larry Owen Guy, 55, of Harpersville died Sept. 19, 2003, near Fort Payne, Ala., as a result of a motorcyle accident. He was killed along with his wife, Kim. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Talladega and was the owner of Larry's Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Amason Hurst and Herman Guy.

He is survived by his two daughters, Heather Guy (Warren) Callahan of Talladega and Honey Guy (Chris) Crim of Munford; one sister, Gayle (Cal) Hodnett of DeRidder, La.; three grandchildren, Courtney and Abby Grace Callahan and Camille Crim; and two nieces, Amy McNulty of Boyce, La., and Kim Killian of Van Buren, Ariz.

Service will be Friday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with burial following in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville.

ROSIE HARRISON

Centreville resident

Rosie Harrison, 91, of Centreville died Sept. 12, 2003.

Service was Sept. 20 at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial following in Cooper Cemetery, The Good Shepherd Funeral Home directing.

JACK HOWARD HOOD

Birmingham resident

Jack Howard Hood, 91, of Birmingham died Sept. 20, 2003. He was born in Alabama in November 1911, the son of Cary Randolph Hood and Nancy Jane Vines Hood. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years and then retired from Sears.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol L. Hood; his son, Randy Hood; his step-son, Butch Whitaker; his step-daughter, Sandy Leslie; his sisters, Olive and Derenia; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service was Sept. 22 at Mt. Olive Road Church of God, Charter Funeral Home directing.

LUDIE B. JONES

Columbiana resident

Ludie B. Jones, 87, of Columbiana died Sept. 16, 2003, at her daughter's home in Calera. She was born in Chilton County in 1916. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana. For 35 years, she took care of many children in her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Jones, and her daughter, Alma Jean Wright.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Betty F.) Allen Jones of Columbiana, Peggy Joyce (Jim) Lee of Calera and Jimmy Wayne Jones of Columbiana; her sister, Doris F. (Buford) Lawrence of Billingsley; two brothers, Melvin Foshee of Clanton and Napoleon Foshee of Billingsley; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Service was Sept. 18 at Bolton Brown Service Chapel, the Rev. Mike Miller presiding. Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

GARY L. MIDDLETON

Harpersville resident

Gary L. Middleton, 53, of Harpersville died Sept. 16, 2003. He is the son of the late Isaih and Era Middleton.

He is survived by his siblings, Wesley (Shelia) Middleton, Shirley Middleton, Wanda (Mark) Middleton, Audrey Middleton, Winifred Middleton, Kimberly Middleton, Robert Middleton, Ava Middleton, Connie Middleton and Glenda Middleton; and other relatives.

Service was Sept. 19 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with burial following in Harpersville Cemetery, The Good Shepherd Funeral Home in Montevallo directing.

MICHAEL LEE MISKELLY

Shelby resident

Michael Lee Miskelly, 52, of Shelby died Sept. 16, 2003, at a local hospital. He was born in 1951 in Selma.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Miskelly; his children, Shane Miskelly of Wilsonville, Michelle Miskelly of Ocean City, Md., Kevin Brand and Robert Brand, both of Shelby; his mother, Catherine Miskelly; and two grandchildren, Wyatt Miskelly and Elaina Brand.

Graveside service was Sept. 19 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jemison, Bolton Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
