Funeral services for Sadie (Willis) Foshee, 84, Maplesville, were held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, July 8, 2002, at 2 p.m., with Rev. George Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Methodist Church Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral directing. Foshee was born on Dec. 16, 1917, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Martin Joseph Willis and the late Virgie Mims. She was a homemaker. She died on July 6, 2002, at her residence. Survivors include six daughters, Barbara Giles, Clanton, Virginia Jones, Glenda Roper, Nina Stewart, Becky Roper, all of Maplesville; Diane Clements, Coffee Springs; four brothers, Martin "Rocky" Willis, Joe Willis, Pensacola, Fla.; Eunice Wilson, Maplesville; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Foshee, and one brother, Jimmy Willis. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer society.

Willis, William Arthur, Sr.

Clanton Policeman, W. Arthur Willis, died suddenly Fri. at age 50. Burial was at Clanton City Cemetery. Survived by his Wife, Mrs. Mayme Foshee Willis, 1 Son, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watt [sp] S. Willis.

Headley, Adeline Mathew (Wilson)
October 14, 1861 - February 14, 1940
Mrs. Adline Wilson Headley, age 79, died Feb. 14. Burial was Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. She is survived by 1 Son, H. D. Headley, 4 Daughters, Mrs. Bessie Hand of Clanton, Mrs. Bettie Blalock of Clanton, Mrs. Aulcie Payton of Clanton, Mrs. Emma Davidson of Birmingham, 1 Brother, Bud Wilson, of Billingsley, 1 Sister, Mrs. Georgia Ann Headley of Clanton. She was the Daughter of Mrs. Avy Eiland Wilson.
Mrs. Adline Wilson Headley, age 79, of Clanton passed away February 14, at 12:45 A.M. Funeral services were held at 11 :00 A.M. the following day from the Mt. Pisgah Church conducted by the Rev. Ruff. Interment was in the nearby cemetery. Surviving are 1 son, H. D. Headley of Clanton; 4 daughters, Mrs. Bessie Hand, Mrs. Bettie Blalock, Mrs. Aulcie Payton, all of Clanton; Mrs. Emma Davidson of Birmingham. One brother Bud Wilson, Billingsley and 1 sister, Mrs. Georgia Ann Headley of Clanton, Grandsons served as pallbearers. Spigener Funeral Home of Clanton was in charge of burial.

Andrew Jackson Wilson, age 83, died Tuesday. Burial was at Mount Pisgah. He is survived by 4 Sons, C. W. (Lum), John P. and Ervin Wilson of Clanton and Fonza D. Wilson of Birmingham, 1 Daughter, Mrs. Addie Payton of Clanton and 23 Grandchildren. (Note: A. J. Wilson was a Son of James W. M. and Penna Moore Wilson, his Wife who died before him was a daughter of James and Mary Calloway Popwell).

Graveside services for Charles Edward Wilson, 80, of Clanton are today, March 18, at 10 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with Don Campbell officiating and Martin Funeral Home directing. Mr. Wilson was born Sept. 17, 1998, in Alabama to the late John P. and Mary B. Wilson. He worked as a rural mail carrier and served in the U. S. Army from 1944-46. He died March 16, 1998, in Clanton. He is survived by his wife, Julia E. Wilson of Clanton; a son, Lavoy Wilson of Clanton; a daughter, Jenny W. Patterson of Clanton; a brother, Bill Wilson of Montgomery; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mims, Crennie Bell (Wilson)

Funeral services for Crennie Bell Mims, 83, Maplesville, will be held on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jim Popwell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Nebo Methodist Cemetery in Clanton, with Martin Funeral Home directing. Mims was born on Aug. 26, 1917, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Willie Will and Mandy Wilson. She was a homemaker. She died on Dec. 22, 2000, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton. Survivors include one daughter, Alta Sue Mims Dube, Birmingham; four sons, Bobby A. Mims, Maplesville, and Roger Dale Mims, Larry Lamar Mims, and Ronald W. Mims, all of Clanton; two brothers, Ezell Wilson and Sam Wilson, both of Clanton; two sisters, Lucille Martin and Mandy Bell Williams, both of Clanton; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Chester Mims and three sons.

Wilson was born on April 23, 1924, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Lorenza Blalock and the late Elsie Miller. She was a homemaker. She was married for 57 years and was a member of Marble City Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Wilson, Sylacauga; one son, Roger Wilson, Birmingham; one daughter, Jan Williamson, Montgomery; one sister, Delen Headley, Clanton; and two grandchildren.

Wilson was born on Nov. 26, 1937, in Chilton County, the son of the late Will Wilson and the late Lizzie Giles Wilson. He was a truck driver. He died on Nov. 29, 2001, at Montgomery Baptist South Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Wilson, Clanton; two daughters, Terri Lockhart and Sherri Greene, both of Clanton; one son, Scott Wilson, Jemison; two sisters, Lucille Martin and Mandy Belle Williams, both of Clanton; one brother, Sam Wilson, Clanton; two grandsons, Shelby Lockhart and Lane Greene, both of Clanton; and one granddaughter, Kandis Lockhart, Clanton.

Funeral services for Geneva Wilson Witcher, 41 of Clanton, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Cemetery in Clanton. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Born on Feb. 17, 1962 to Percy J. Wilson, she died Feb. 24, 2003 at 292 County Road 76 in Clanton. Survivors include her daughters Stacey Wright of Montevallo and Tabatha Cleckler of Jemison; mother Doris Wilson of Clanton; brother James Edward "Red" Wislon of Clanton; sister Brenda Smith of Clanton.

Wilson, 3 Daughters, Mrs. John Hayes, Mrs. Mina Patton, Mrs. Eliza Mims, 2 Brothers survive, Andrew and Enoch Wilson of Clanton. He was a Son of James W. M. and Penna Moore Wilson.

Funeral services for Grace Wilson Patterson, 89 of Clanton, were held Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry Michael, Dr. Sid Sample and Rev. Ralph Jones officiating. Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton. Born on May 15, 1913 to Willie Hubert Wilson and Isabel Wilson, she died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003 at her home. Survivors include her daughters Inez Martin of Clanton, Mary Sample of Bryant, Ark., Betty Cook of Clanton and Joan Patterson of Titus; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband, J. Reedie Patterson, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Wilson of Clanton; a son Ronnie Rogers of Jemison; a daughter, Jeanette Veazey of Clanton; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. John Ottis (Sam) Wilson, 75, of Clanton, died December 25, 1978. He was a native of Chilton County. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Wilson, Clanton, five sons, James L. Collins [sic], Sammy D. Wilson, Carl Edwin Wilson, all of Clanton, Wayne Wilson, and James Ottis Wilson, both of Birmingham; two brothers, Charles E. Wilson, Clanton, and William L. Wilson, Montgomery; one sister, Miss Addie Pearl Wilson, Montgomery; 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held December 27, 1978, 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Rev. A. V. Bice was officiating minister with Martin Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Grover Rich, Ronnie Ellison, Ronnie Mims, Dale Littleton and J. R. Gladden.

Survivors include son, Jim (Dee) Wilson of Vestavia Hills; daughter, Sue (Richard) Godwin of Valley Grande; grandson, Brad Wilson of Vestavia Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Wilson and grandson, David Godwin. Family visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Friday, at the church. Mrs. Wilson was born on June 8, 1914 in Chilton County, the daughter of the late John D. Houston and the late Zadie Deason Houston. She worked as a homemaker.
