HUEY CALBERT LOGAN

HISSOP Funeral service for Huey Calbert Logan, 84, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home chapel in Alexander City with the Rev. Johnny Clark, the Rev. Pete West and the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Sears Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Logan died Jan. 19 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1919 in Dollar to George W. Logan and Mamie Hughes Logan. He retired as transportation supervisor for Coosa County Schools. He was a member of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Culver Logan.

He is survived by daughters, Sandra Mitchell of Aberdeen, Md., and Linda Ray of Goodwater; brother, Leon Logan of Stevensville, Mont.; sister, Elsie Kelley of Rockford; special friend and companion, Rosa Long of Rockford; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Seale, Blake Kelley, Bill Strength, Lee Sallas, Joe Culver and Joel Neighbors.

Radney Funeral Home in Alexander City will direct the service.

WILLIAM E. LOWE

BIRMINGHAM William E. Lowe, 75, died Jan. 21 at Brookwood Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel.

GEORGIA McGREGOR

SYLACAUGA Georgia McGregor, of 190 Betsy Ross Lane, died Jan. 21 at Coosa Valley BMC.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Community Funeral Home.

MILDRED CATHERINE TERRY

BRANCHVILLE Funeral service for Mildred Catherine Terry, 73, formerly of Calhoun County, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City with the Rev. Robert Dunn officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Terry died Jan. 21 in Birmingham.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar C. Terry of Branchville; daughters, Ginger Murphy of Randolph County, Toni Mattox of Pinson, JoAnna Burgess of Springville and Tammy Jo Tieree of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; sons, Wayne Robertson of Branchville and Tommy Robertson of Covington, Ga.; sister, Jo Dunn of Allgood; brother, Bud Curvin of Pinson; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

PAUL DAVID WESSON

CHILDERSBURG Funeral service for Paul David "P.D." Wesson, 60, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Valley View Church of God with the Rev. Stephen Wesson and the Rev. Max Morris officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Wesson died Jan. 20 at his residence. He was preceded in death by daughter, Chardonna Gay Wesson and his father, the Rev. Talton B. Wesson. He graduated from Selma High School in 1960, received pre-pharmacy education at Lee College in Cleveland, Tenn., and attended pharmacy school at Samford University in Birmingham. He owned numerous businesses in Childersburg and Sylacauga from 1970 until his retirement in April 2003. These included Norris Pharmacy, Wesson Pharmacy, Mac and Ted Drug Company, Village Pharmacy and Wesco Drug Company.

He is survived by his wife, Linda E. Wesson of Childersburg; sons, Dr. Paul David Wesson II of Columbus, Ohio and Dr. Cameron Braxton Wesson of Chicago, Ill.; his mother, Ruth Wesson of Sylacauga; brother, the Rev. Stephen Wesson of Huntsville; sister, Ruthi Souders of Cleveland, Tenn.; and granddaughter, Alexandria Wesson.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The body may be viewed at the church Friday from 1 until 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Frank Mount, Carl Bean, Mike Wesson, Nathan Gillilan, Randy Sheeks, Brett Foshee, Bob Hagan and Jerome Dennis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Mallory, Kenneth Sims, James Hobson, Diane Housch and Mark Bowen.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

JOHN O. WILLIAMS

DADEVILLE Graveside service for John O. Williams, 86, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Lockhart Cemetery in Dadeville.

Mr. Williams died Jan. 17 at his residence.

He is survived by daughter, Anita Brown of Dadeville; stepchildren, Hellen Brown, Linda T. Brown, Joe Brown Jr. and Lynn Brown of Dadeville; two uncles; two aunts; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.

CHARTORRIA SYMONE CURRY

TALLADEGA Graveside service for infant Chartorria Symone Curry of Talladega will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Church Cemetery in Lincoln with Elder Lorenzo Truss officiating.

The infant died Jan. 28 at Children's Hospital in Birmingham. She is survived by her mother, Chartika Howard of Talladega; her father, Tony Curry of Talladega; one brother, Jacoby Howard of Lincoln; her grandparents, Loretta Howard, Vanessa Curry, Tony Wright and Norman Hall, all of Talladega; her great-grandparents, Dallas Curry of Talladega and Elder Lorenzo Truss of Lincoln; and a host of other relatives.

The family will receive friends at Pine Grove Church in Lincoln one hour prior to the service.

Sims Funeral Service will direct the service.

IDA FLORENCE LEE

PELL CITY Funeral service for Ida Florence Lee, 85, of Pell City, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Pell City with the Rev. A.L. Cortney, the Rev. Gordon Lee and the Rev. John Threatt officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Mrs. Lee died Jan. 30. She is survived by a daughter, Frances Mulvehill; two sons, Michael E. Lee (wife Sandra) and Roger H. Lee (wife Barbara); one sister, Earlene Turner; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Kilgroe Funeral Home will direct the service.

RAY GEORGE MEEKS

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Ray George Meeks, 65, of 400 East Fourth St., Sylacauga, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Forbus and the Rev. Wayne Jones officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Meeks died Jan. 30 at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center. A Baptist by faith, he attended New Site Baptist Church and was retired from Avondale Mills in 1986. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall L. Meeks.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Meeks of Sylacauga; two sons, Roger L. Lee of Sylacauga and Jeffrey Ray Meeks of Sylacauga; three daughters, Kristie L. Meeks of Sylacauga, Miranda P. Meeks of Birmingham and Robbie L. Meeks of Sylacauga; three brothers, Billy Earl Meeks, Pee-Wee Meeks and James Meeks, all of Mississippi; four sisters, Linda Sue Hays, Lois Cannon, Betty Ann Collin and Tootsie Meeks, all of Mississippi; and six grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Wayne Jones, Calvin Bones, Fred Youngblood, Marvin McElrath, Brian Jones, William Hurt and Jerry Bones. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Williams Jr. and Brandon Wilson.

The family will receive friends Sunday at 11 a.m. at Mr. Meeks' residence.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.

MARY LOIS SHAW

NEW YORK CITY Funeral service for Mary Lois Shaw, 73, of New York City, formerly of Camp Hill, will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Heard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Shaw died Jan. 21 in New York City. She was preceded in death by her parents, Envella and Hilda Fielder Shaw.

She is survived by a son, Gregory Routt of Los Angeles; two sisters, Tene Taylor and Emma Hall; two brothers, Edward Shaw and Charlie Shaw; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home.

Wright's Funeral Home will direct the service.
