CLANTON Graveside service for John T. Singleton Jr., 73, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga with the Rev. Donnie Blackmon officiating.

Mr. Singleton died Feb. 16. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Singleton.

He is survived by daughter, Joan LeCroy of Clanton; son-in-law, Randy LeCroy of Clanton; sister. Wyonell McGaha of Sylacauga; brother, Edmund Singleton of Louisiana; brother, George Singleton of Montgomery; granddaughters, Mesha Hilyer of Clanton and Marika Porter of Clanton; great-granddaughters, Marisa Hilyer and Lily Porter; and great-grandson, Charly Hilyer.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.


ANNISTON Funeral service for Gussie M. Teague, 65, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Anniston with the Rev. Ronnie C. Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery.

Mrs. Teague died Feb. 12 at Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Anniston and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie McCluney.

She is survived by son, Rex Teague of Talladega; daughters, Carolyn Teague of Anniston, Bridget Austin of Cartersville, Ga., and Yvette Thompson of Anniston; and six grandchildren.

Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Anniston Funeral Service will direct the service.


RAGLAND Graveside service for Philip Todd, 41, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Popes Chapel Cemetery with Ray Jordon officiating.

Mr. Todd died Feb. 14.

He is survived by his mother, Vernell Todd; brothers, Joseph Todd and Kevin Todd; sister, Shirley Brewster; niece, Dianne Dunnaway; and great-niece, Jada Dunnaway.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.


TALLADEGA Funeral service for John Hayden Vincent, 87, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Hugh Kelso and Dr. William Maynor officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Vincent died Feb. 14 at his residence. He was a native of Lincoln and had lived in Talladega since 1947. He was a charter member of Southwood Presbyterian Church where he was an elder. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 261, was a veteran of World War II and was preceded in death by sisters, Gladys McCraven and Betty Tanner.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances Moore Vincent of Talladega; daughters, Florence Cranie of Pell City, Carolyne Anderson of Freemont, Calif., and Olivia Faye Vincent of Pell City; son, James Durwood Vincent of Sharpsburg, Ga.; brothers, Eugene Vincent, Louie Vincent and Walter Vincent of Talladega; sisters, Norma Bowden of Talladega and Doris Mason of Grayson, Ga.; grandchildren, Roy Searcy Jr., Todd Searcy, Tim Anderson, Candice Cordova, Amy Wiggins, Elizabeth Gillenwater and Lucy Hunt; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookwood Hospice. 200 Montgomery Highway, Birmingham, Ala., 35216.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Kilgroe, Tommy Harris, Mike Harris, Tim Anderson, Hal Vincent and Donnie Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lloyd Anderson, Daniel Cranie, Dr. Jimmy Davis, Dr. Lindy Martin and men of Southwood Presbyterian Church.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.

ALPINE Funeral service for John Williams Sr., 82, of 1505 Feddisburg Road, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. George Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Williams died Jan. 13 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Williams and Pearl Reynolds Williams. He was in the United States Army from Dec. 7, 1942, was honorably discharged on Jan. 5, 1946, where he was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, the American Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Ribbon. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, was a farmer and was employed at Bemis Bag Company and Talladega Foundry.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cole Williams of Alpine; daughters, Marilyn Knight of Wedowee, Deborah Williams of Alpine and Zabrina Zuber of Rosemont, Minn.; sons, John Williams Jr. of Wedowee, Paul Williams of Carrollton, Ga., Danny Williams of Abanda and Stanley Williams of Carrollton, Ga.; sisters, Minnie Johnson of Chicago, Ill., and Geraldine Bennett, Alberta Williams and Dollie Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Freddie Bush of Anniston and Aaron Williams and Harry Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; and 20 grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the service.


TALLADEGA Funeral service for Edna Pearl Bonds, 68, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Harold Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Arlington Heights, Ill.

Mrs. Bonds died Feb. 17 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. She was a native of Clay County, lived in Chicago, Ill., most of her life, was a member of God's House for All Nations and was retired from Moore Business Products in Chicago, Ill.

She is survived by daughters, Deborah Battles of Arlington Heights, Ill., Cynthia Kareem of Des Plaines, Ill., Roxane Bonds Martinez of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Susan Bonds of Chicago, Ill.; son, James Allen Bonds Jr. of Hainesville, Ill.; her father, George Arnold of Talladega; sister, Betty Waites of Talladega; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Waites, Billy Waites, Rodney Waites, Jeremy Waites, James Prickett and James Haynes.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.


LINCOLN A.C. Cole, 80, died Feb. 17 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sims Funeral Service.


SYLACAUGA Donald M. Cosper, 68, died Feb. 17 at his residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel.


SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Charles Frank Epperson, 71, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Epperson died Feb. 17 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Epperson of Sylacauga; son, Charles Epperson Jr. of Sandwich, Ill.; daughters, Sharron Daley and Zondra Daley of Sandwich, Ill.; brothers, Raymond Epperson of Sycamore and Jessie Epperson of Sylacauga; and sister, Mildred Bearden of Sylacauga.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.


ALEXANDER CITY Memorial service for Stella Louise Jones, 60, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Alabama Funeral Homes Chapel with the Rev. Mike Taylor and the Rev. E.L. Croyle officiating.

Mrs. Jones died Feb. 17. She was born April 22, 1943, in LaGrange, Ga. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Huddleston McVay.

She is survived by her husband, Woody L. Jones of Alexander City; sons, Rickey Jones and Paul Jones of Alexander City and Greg Jones of Houston, Texas; daughters, Rhonda Patterson of Jackson's Gap and Angela Hardy of Alexander City; her father, Woodrow McVay of Lineville; brothers, John McVay of Jasper, Dwight McVay of Lineville and Roger McVay of Pell City; sisters, Barbara Wilcox of Talladega and Betty Patterson of Jackson's Gap; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Friends of Hospice at R.M.C., P.O. Box 939, Alexander City, Ala., 35010 or call (256) 329-7195.

The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
