WALTER ALBERT JORDAN

EIGHT MILE Walter Albert Jordan died Feb. 17 at Eight Mile Nursing Home in Eight Mile.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel.

MILDRED LOUISE PUGH MAYES

CROPWELL Funeral service for Mildred Louise Pugh Mayes, 87, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Pell City with the Rev. James Blair officiating. Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Mayes died Feb. 16.

She is survived by daughter, Betty Wills Jacks; sons, Thomas F. Wills and James L. Wills; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two nieces.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kilgroe Funeral Home will direct the service.

ADA MORRIS

ALPINE Ada Morris, 73, of 1280 Reynolds Mill Road, died Feb. 16 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

CARLOS GREG ROYAL

CHILDERSBURG Funeral service for Carlos Greg Royal, 54, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg chapel with the Rev. Chuck Kornegay officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery.

Mr. Royal died Feb. 16 at Coosa Valley BMC. He served in the military as a radar operator and was a member of Marble City Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughter, Tammy Jo Royal of Fayetteville; his mother, Clorene Royal of Childersburg; brothers, Talmadge Royal of Talladega and Donnie Royal and Tony Royal of Sylacauga; and sisters, Carolyn Merrell and Diane Cooper of Sylacauga, Judy Johnson of Eastaboga, Cindy McKee of Childersburg and Rita Hughes of Columbiana.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.

MARY JEAN RUDOLPH

ANNISTON Mary Jean Rudolph, 54, died Feb. 17 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

DEBRA JOYCE WHITE

TALLADEGA Debra Joyce White, 45, of No. 66 Sunrise Apartments, died Feb. 16 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

RUBY HILYER WILSON

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Ruby Hilyer Wilson, 85, will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home chapel in Sylacauga with the Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga.

Mrs. Wilson died Feb. 17. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Carl Wilson.

She is survived by son, Don Wilson of Sylacauga; daughter, Robin Wilson Embry of Sylacauga; son, Troy Wilson of Sylacauga; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gene Hughes, Steve Moore, Rodney Moore, Josh Wilson, Ryan Wilson and John Hilyer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:30 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga will direct the service.

DONALD M. COSPER

SYLACAUGA Funeral service for Donald M. Cosper, 69, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home South chapel with the Rev. Bill Dean and the Rev. Keith Pugh officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Cosper died Feb. 17 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Sylacauga and was a member of First Baptist Church in Sylacauga. His lifelong career was that of an electrical contractor as the owner of Cosper Electric Company. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball for 25 years and was fondly known as "Granddaddy" to his players.

He is survived by his wife, Janice G. Cosper of Sylacauga; sons, John David Cosper and wife Mitzi of Sylacauga and Michael Shane Cosper and wife Rhonda of Sylacauga; daughter, Cassandra Cosper Kenney and husband Fred of Boston, Mass.; and seven granddaughters.

Pallbearers will be Steve Embry, Frankie Caudle, Ed Guy, Mike Lewis, Dan Harris and Milt Hurston.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home South Chapel will direct the service.

JEFF ARNOLD

TALLADEGA Funeral service for Jeff Arnold, 83, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Randall Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Arnold died Feb. 18 at Talladega Health Care Center. He was a native of Clay County and lived most of his life in Talladega. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and church clerk. He had worked for Bouchmon Uxbridge and retired from Crown Textile. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Pitts and his parents, Jefferson and Anna Arnold.

He is survived by his wife, Inez J. Arnold of Talladega; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Sims of Talladega; son, Rodney Arnold of Gadsden; grandchildren, Kelly Lambert, Doug Gurley, Jeff Sims, Brian Sims, Stephanie Arnold and Brent Arnold; great-grandchildren, Lara Lambert, Skylar Lambert, Taylor Sims, Sawyer Sims and Catherine Gurley.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.

EDNA PEARL BONDS

TALLADEGA Funeral service for Edna Pearl Bonds, 68, was Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel in Talladega with the Rev. Harold Hazel officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Arlington Heights, Ill.

Mrs. Bonds died Feb. 17 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. She was a native of Clay County, lived in Chicago, Ill., most of her life, was a member of God's House for All Nations and was retired from Moore Business Products in Chicago, Ill.

She is survived by daughters, Deborah Battles of Arlington Heights, Ill., Cynthia Kareem of Des Plaines, Ill., Roxane Bonds Martinez of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Susan Bonds of Chicago, Ill.; son, James Allen Bonds Jr. of Hainesville, Ill.; her father, George Arnold of Talladega; sister, Betty Waites of Talladega; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wayne Waites, Billy Waites, Rodney Waites, Jeremy Waites, James Prickett and James Haynes.

Usrey Funeral Home directed the service.

MARTHA SUE CHAMPION

PELL CITY Funeral service for Martha Sue Champion, 49, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Ford and the Rev. J.D. Wales officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Ragland.

Mrs. Champion died Feb. 16.

She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Champion; brothers, Lonnie L. Phillips, Jack Phillips and Frank Phillips; and sisters, Bobbie Phillips, Dorothy Noah, Corbina Howard and Sadie St. John Long.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.

WALTER ALBERT JORDAN

Mr. Jordan died Feb. 18 at Eight Mile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Britton Naramore.

He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Jordan of Eight Mile; sons, the Rev. Johnny Jordan of Talladega and Marshall Jordan of Sycamore; daughter, Sharon Naramore of Creola; sisters, Gladys Dison of Florence and Ora Bulman of Birmingham; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
