Lexie Mae Walton, 71, of Columbiana, died June 6, 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Andy Walton Sr. of Columbiana; two sons, Andy Walton Jr. of Columbiana and Daniel Walton of Columbiana; two daughters, Frances Sammons of Calera and Sharon Walton of Leeds; three sisters, Drucilla Gould of Columbiana, Ruth Hadaway of Decatur and Nellie Sur Lawley of Bessemer; a brother, R.C. Horton of Bessemer; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services were held June 9 at Bolton-Brown Chapel, Rev. Neil Bearden and Rev. Pate Hoggins officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Gardens, Bolton-Brown Service directing.
JAMES WESLEY WILLIAMS
James Wesley Williams, 70, of Shelby, died June 8, 2000.
He was retired as a tech sargeant after serving 21 years in the United States Air Force. He also served for 15 years at the state of Alabama and then retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice L. Etress Williams of Shelby; his brother, Jerry Williams of Pauls Valley, Ok.; and parents, John Wesley and Lessie Irene of Sulphur, Ok,
He is survived by four children, Julia Jones of Calera, James Williams Jr. of Shelby, John Williams of Shelby and Faith Claudette Green of Shelby; five grandchildren, Samuel J. Ward, Candice Williams, Michelle Carruthers, Julie Littlefield and JoLinda Payton; and three great-grandchildren, Shannon Ward, Jonathan Ward and Cameron Littlefield; two sisters, Peggy White of Davis, Ok., and Shirley Dewess of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were June 10 at Bolton-Brown Chapel, Rev. Rod Davison officiating. Burial was in Bay Springs Cemetery, Bolton-Brown Service directing.
BESSIE MARIE BRANDENBERG
Bessie Marie Brandenberg, 75, of Alabaster, died June 14, 2000. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Homer L. Brandenberg; daughters, Diane Seales and husband, Bobby, Charlotte Hinkle and husband, Ricky, Elaine Storey and husband, Tim; sons, Stephen Brandenberg and wife, Vicki, and John Brandenberg and wife, Lori; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held June 17 at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Ridout's Southern Heritage directing.
LEWIS HAMILTON COSPER
Veteran of World War II
Lewis Hamilton Cosper, 85, of Wilsonville, died June 5, 2000.
A member of Wilsonville Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee, Deacon and Sunday School teacher, he was also a veteran of World War II, 476 AAA BN.
He was retired from Kimberly-Clark Corporation, where he was as assistant fire chief.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha Cosper; two daughters, Rosemary Liveoak and Jane Kennedy, both of Wilsonville; grandchildren, Joanne Kennedy Carter of Pelham and Cristin Michell Liveoak of Wilsonville; great-granddaughter, Lauren Carter of Pelham; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services were held June 7 at Pinelawn Gardens, Rev. Frank Sims and Rev. Steve Thomas officiating. Bolton-Brown directed the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to American Heart Association of Birmingham and Wilsonville Baptist Church's Bus Fund.
INEZ E. DAVIS
Inez E. Davis, 82, of Shelby, died June 16, 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette E. Skinner; two sons, Jerry Davis and Dwight Davis, all of Shelby; two grandchildren, Forrest Davis and Jeff Davis; two great-grandchildren, Darius Davis and Abigail Davis; three sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Helena E. Baker, both of Shelby, and Odell Tidmore of Columbiana; and two brothers. A.E. Etress and Laston Etress, both of Shelby.
Services were held June 19, 2000 at Bolton-Brown Chapel, Rev. Howard Brasher officiating.
Burial was in New Shelby Cemetery, Bolton-Brown Service directing the services.
LOUIS ALAN JOHNSON
Member of Helena United Methodist Church
Louis Alan Johnson, 40, of Columbiana, died June 11, 2000.
A native of Sioux City, Iowa, he graduated from Brewer High School in Morgan County and was employed by Sam's Wholesale Club.
He was a member of Helena United Methodist Church and the new Directors Sunday School and was active in the ASP group at his church. He was also an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed meeting with fellow enthusiasts on Friday nights at Sonic and camping with his friends.
He is survived by a special friend, Leslie Smothers of Helena; parents, Andrew and Caroline Johnson of Columbiana; sisters, Jean Passon of Vancouver, Wa., Lisa Shupe of Vancouver, Wa., Lura Campbell of Helena and Rhonda Hendricks of Gurley; 12 nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held June 17 at Helena United Methodist Church, Bolton-Brown Service directing.

Jackie Lee Frederick, 45, of Moundville, died June 18, 2000. He was a member of Moundville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Frederick of Moundville; a daughter, Leigh Ann Beard of Tuscaloosa; two sons, Michael Frederick of Brookwood and Curtis Frederick of Moundville; his mother, Phyllis Frederick of Montevallo; father, Ira Frederick of Montevallo; two sisters, Karen Bell of Columbiana and Meredith Loggins of Montevallo; and two brothers, Bryan Frederick and Michael "Micky" Frederick, both of Montevallo. Services were held June 20 at Rockco Funeral Home, Rev. Chris Mason officiating.
Burial was in Six Mile Cemetery, Rockco Funeral Home directing the services.

She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Brasher of Alabaster and Lucille Ellison of Pelham; a brother, Carl Davenport of Montevallo; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Christopher Michael McNeil, 19, of Columbiana, died June 14, 2000.
He is survived by his mother, Michele Simpson; a sister, Morgan Simpson, both of Columbiana; a brother, D.J. Grossman of Pittsburgh, Penn.; grandparents, Larry and Louise Sommer of Pittsburgh, Penn.; fiance', Elizabeth Angeline Bailey; and three uncles, Scott McNeil of Florida, Darren McNeil and Ryan Sommer, both of Pittsburgh, Penn.
