Agnes Dearmon Caten
MILLRY - Funeral services for Agnes Dearmon Caten, 96,
were held Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at Barlow United Methodist Church
with Rev. James Mazingo and Rev. Joel Wasson officiating. Interment
was in Barlow Cemetery.
Mrs. Caten, the daughter of the late John and Edna Morgan Dearmon,
Passed away on Oct. 19th at Mercy Medical Center in Mobile.
She is survived by one son, Odell Caten of Barlow; one daughter,
Voncille Chonia of Mobile; 23 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren;
and 19 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by
her husband, Henry Caten, a son, Columbus Caten, three daughters,
Eleanor Atchison, Pearl McMillan, and Bernice Williams.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Song Ok Kim McIlwain
GILBERTOWN - Funeral services for Song Ok Kim McIlwain,
59, were held at the chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor
Myung Hahn, Rev. Jimmy Lloyd and Sister Martha Sikes officiating.
Interment followed in the Gilbertown Cemetery.
Mrs. McIlwain, daughter of the late Yong Man Kim and Nam Hui Yi,
Passed away on Oct. 18, 2005.
She is survived by her husband Doug McIlwain of Gilbertown; one
son, Douglas McIlwain of Birmingham; one daughter, Melissa Frost
of Cullomburg; two brothers, Song and Song Woo, four sisters,
Sun Ye, Song Sun, Hyon Mi, Song Hwa all of Seoul, South Korea;
and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother,
Pallbearers were Jason Sullivan. Blake Frost, Eric Copeland, Ryan
McIlwain, Randall McIlwain, and Randall Chapman.

William L. DuBose
PENNINGTON - Funeral services for William L. DuBose,
82, were held on Oct. 20, 2005 at Millwood Primitive Baptist Church
with Rev. James Chaney, officiating. Interment was in the Woodall
Mr. DuBose was born to the late Prince and Savannah DuBose. He
Passed away on Fri., Oct. 14th at the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham.
He served in the US Army as a Medic during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy DuBose of Fredericksburg,
VA; five daughters, Lynette Doss of Boston, MA; Patricia DuBose
of Pennington; Brenda Moore (Jessie) of Brockton, MA; Linda DuBose
of Mobile; Sylvia DuBose of Fredericksburg; one son, William DuBose,
Jr. (Renda) of Fredericksburg; three brothers, Prince DuBose,
Jr. of Pennington; Elmore DuBose and Thomas DuBose of New Castle,
DE; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren
and one great-great grandchild, many relatives and friends.
Pallbearers and Flowers bearers were family and friends.

Clark Webster Taylor, Jr.
SILAS - Funeral services for Clark Webster Taylor, Jr.,
70, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 27, 2005 from the
chapel of Phillips Funeral Home in Gilbertown with Rev. Doug Calvin
and Rev. James Bonner officiating. Interment will be in the Springbank
Cemetery in Silas.
Mr. Taylor, son of the late Clark W. Taylor, Sr. and Avie Giles
Taylor, passed away on Sat., Oct. 22nd at Rush Foundation Hospital
He is survived by three daughters, Shannon Berlin Bennett, Shelley
Brennen Powe, and Staci Bre Williams all of Hattiesburg, MS; one
brother, Roger Lavell Taylor of Gilbertown, four sisters, Joyce
Lavern Parnell of Silas, Sadie Chloe Earnestine Thomas of FL.;
Linda Onita Loper of Purvis, MS; Wanda Sue Hall of Oloh, MS; and
seven grandchildren, Keith Bennet, Kaden Powe, Keaton Powe, Kayla
McLain, Brittany McLain, and Hunter McLain.
Pallbearers are Dennis Williams, Damian Powe, Brian Bennett,
Roger Taylor, Jr., Charles Worsham and John Thompson.
Visitation will be held Thurs., Oct. 27th from 9:30 a.m. until
11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.
Ruth D. Strickland
BIGBEE - Funeral services for Ruth D. Strickland, 91, were held on May 10, 2006 from the chapel of St. Stephens Funeral Home with Rev. Richard C. Perkins and Rev. Darrell Butts officiating. Interment followed in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland, who passed away on May 8th, was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, James R. Strickland (Marilyn) of Millry; one grandson, Anthony Silcox of Mobile; one granddaughter, Kim Schultz of Valley Head; two great-granddaughters, five great-grandsons and one great-great grandson.
Her parents, Bart and Liza Dumas; her husband, Fletcher F. Strickland and one sister, Connie Dixon, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were Ryan Silcox, Chris Connell, Matt Connell, Josh Schultz, James Wilbert Dixon, and Jason Holifield.

Ollie Irene Hearn Clark
YORK - Funeral services for Ollie Irene Hearn Clark, 94, were held on May 15, 2006 from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home in York with Rev. Brad Campbell and Rev. David Manasco officiating. Interment followed in the Camp Springs Cemetery
in Choctaw County.
A resident of York, she passed away on May 12th at the Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Clark of Eight Mile; four daughters, Pat Mayfield of Lisman, Pelleree Brown of York, Cena Harvison of Eight Mile, Glenda Flory of Gulf Shores; one sister, Lorene Huffman of Butler; 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Hager, Jerry Bohannon, Mike Bohannon, Lee Allen, Gary Clark, and Walt Brown.

SILAS - Funeral services for Annette Lindsey, 86, were held on May 12, 2006 at Silas Pentecostal Church with Rev. C.L. Moore, Rev. Randall Hyatt, Rev. Billy Crow, and Rev. Lester Pope officiating. Interment followed in the Cooper's Chapel Cemetery.
She was born to the late John and Ada Raines on July 15, 1919 and passed away on May 10th at Mobile Infirmary. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by six sons, John Thomas Lindsey, Roy Lindsey Sr., Lloyd Lindsey, and Troy Lindsey all of Silas, Joe L. Lindsey and Floyd Lindsey both of Gilbertown; seven daughters, Voncille Holifield of Waynesboro, MS, Doll Baby Lindsey, Nelda Sikes, and Mary Taylor all of Silas, Lounell Logan and Tiny Thompson, both Gilbertown, and Charlotte Stokley of Millry; one sister, Bessie Mae McCarra of Quitman, MS; 52 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Her husband, Thomas Edward Lindsey, preceded her in death.

Ammie Easley May
LISMAN -- Funeral services for Ammie Easley May, 98, were held on May 11, 2006 from Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Theodis McSwain officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.
She was born to the late Job and Pearlean Easley on January 9, 1908. She passed away on May 6th at York Rehabilitation Center. She was married to the late Robert May and to this union no children were born. She later joined Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir and other organizations.
She is survived by her adopted son, Rev. Edward (Willie B.) Knighton Sr.; adopted grandchildren, Edward (Sharon) Knighton Jr.; Brendalyn Chaney, Thomasena (Calvin) Collins; nieces, Lillie, Annie, Pearlie, Artic, and Georgia; nephews, Henery, Johnny, Thomas (Ola) Horn, Wilbert (Christine) Horn; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers were friends.
