Theodore Fred Schmuck

Funeral services for Theodore Fred Schmuck, 69, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Sacred Heart Church, Father Kevin McGrath officiating, with Burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Schmuck died Friday, Feb. 13, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Alabama to Frank and Theresa Link Schmuck. He was a machine operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Delores June Schmuck; four daughters, Ginger Ann Reid, Theresa Marie Brown, Doris June Barbee and Pamela Ruth Perez; a sister, Anna Maddox; a brother, Martin Schmuck; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was Friday; a rosary was held at this time.

Rilla Marie Rodgers

Funeral services for Rilla Marie Rodgers, 86, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Jones Chapel First Baptist Church, Jason Rodgers, Jerry Lake and Daniel Tidwell officiating, with Burial in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rodgers died Friday, Feb. 13, at her residence. She was born June 14, 1917, in Cullman County to Early and Monie Turner Barnett. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Rodgers; a son, Larry Dale Rodgers; five brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Crystal (Norman) Seymore, Betty Burden and Hilda (Steve) Rodgers; a sister, Ruby Gilbreath; four grandchildren, Jason (Rita) Rodgers, John (Hilary) Rodgers, Kathy (Larry) Clark and Karen Grimes; four great-grandchildren, Carrie Gillespie, Trent Gobble, Lance Smith and Tyler Grimes; three great-great-grandchildren, Jackson Gillespie, Mary Grace Gillespie and Weston Smith.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Brodie Keith Thompson

Graveside services for Brodie Keith Thompson, infant, of Arley will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at Meek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He died Wednesday, Feb. 11, at UAB Hospital. He was born the same day.

Survivors include his parents, Keith and Tiffany Thompson of Arley; a brother, Peyton Thompson of Arley; grandparents, Sarah Lindsey of Cullman, Johnny Thompson and O'Neal and Debbie Talley, all of Arley; and great-grandparents, Alice Talley, Cecil and Louise Baxley, R.C. and Betty Thompson, all of Arley, and Dallas Pigg of Addison.

Huelon W. Kinney

Funeral services for Huelon W. Kinney, 69, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Eva Baptist Church, the Revs. Phillip Robinson and Connie Bolan officiating, with Burial in Lawrence Cove Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kinney died Thursday, Feb. 12, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1934, in Morgan County to Gilbert and Clair Puckett Kinney. He was a member of Eva Baptist Church. He was the original owner of Kinney's Auto Glass in Hartselle until his retirement. He was a trustee for the Lawrence Cove Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Hyland Kinney and Haskel Kinney.

Survivors include his wife, Iree Kinney of Eva; two daughters, Sherry (Cliff) Barger of Acworth, Ga. and Lori (Mike) Peden of Eva; a sister, Shirley Johnson of Eva; and seven grandchildren, James (Christy) Barger, Jeff (Wendy) Barger, Josh (Tracy) Marshall, Phillip (Rosie) Marshall, Patrick Huelon Marshall, Phillip (Amanda) Peden and Vanessa Peden.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation was Friday.

'Brother' William Franklin Casey

Funeral services for "Brother" William Franklin Casey, 68, of Gardendale will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Revs. Donald Lee Abbott and James Able officiating, with Burial in New Prospect Cemetery in Cullman.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Rev. Casey died Feb. 13 in Birmingham. He was born July 19, 1935, in Cullman County. He pastored at Mtn. Grove Baptist, Cold Springs Baptist and Oak Grove Baptist and filled in at several churches. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church of Gardendale and also a member of the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge No. 400.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Red" and Ila Estelle Edwards Casey; and a son, Joey Casey.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wilson Boshell Casey of Gardendale; five children, Jana and Eugene Shelton, Steve and Deborah Casey, Richard and Gina Casey, Raybon and Amy Boshell and Tina and Rod Wilson; grandchildren Christy (Mark) Putman, Adam (Molly) Shelton, Brandi Casey, Kyle Casey, Nicole Casey, Jedediah Boshell and Melissa Boshell; great-grandchildren Callie Shelton, Travis Putman and Meredith Putman; sisters and brothers Christine Graham, Clara Black, Irene Vincent, Mary and Jack Brown, James and Jan Casey, Wilbur and Mary Casey.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Casey, Ray Black, Scott Lanier, Carlton Kelley, Kenneth Yarbrough, Mitchell Black and Michael Black. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Yarbrough, Jerry Casey and Kenneth Casey.

Visitation was Saturday.

Ruth Marshall Jordan

Funeral services for Ruth Marshall Jordan, 73, of Opelika will be Monday, Feb. 15, 2004, at Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlor's Southside Chapel, 2116 University Boulevard, Birmingham.

Johns-Ridout's Funeral Parlors is in charge of arrangements.

She died Feb. 13.

She was preceded in death by by her husband, Gene Jordan.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Marshall; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Millie Hofer of Rome, Ga.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Marie 'Beth' Morgan Moore

Services for Elizabeth Marie "Beth" Morgan Moore, 22, of Bremen will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Collins Burke Chapel in Jasper, the Rev. Morris Helton officiating, with Burial in Arkadelphia Cemetery in Cullman County.

Collins Burke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Jeremy Douglas Moore of Bremen; a daughter, Brittney Brook Moore of Bremen; two sons, Damien Shane Moore and Steven Anthony Moore of Bremen; mother, Patti Hatfield of Powhatan, Va.; father, David Morgan of Cullman; brother, Daniel Eugene Morgan of Cullman; grandparents, Jean Lindsey of Crane Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hatfield of Virginia.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harold Afton Henry

Graveside services for Harold Afton Henry, 80, of Cullman, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at Berlin Cemetery at Mt. Carmel, Randy Sellers officiating.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henry died Sunday, Feb. 15, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born July 29, 1923, in Cullman to William M. and Lydia Holland Henry. He was a heat and air technician and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rachel Henry.

Survivors include one son, Dan (Paula) Henry of Cullman; one daughter, Wanda (Jackie) Folds of Cullman; one sister, Vera Berry of Cullman; five grandchildren, Kathy Kirby, Susan Persons, Danny Henry, Chad Folds and Gina Nixon; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday.

Evelyn Margaret Egan Serridge

Funeral services for Evelyn Margaret Egan Serridge, 78, of Milford, Mich., formerly of St. Clair Shores, White Lake and Alabama, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home in Milford, Mich., Chaplain Herb Heavner officiating.

Lynch and Sons Funeral Home in Milford, Mich. is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Serridge died Sunday, Feb. 15. She was born in Highland Park, Mich., on Oct. 20, 1925. She lived in Alabama from 1970 to 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edith Egan; and her stepmother, Dorothy Egan.

Survivors include her husband, Francis "Frank" Serridge; a daughter, Colleen (Phillip) D'Angelo; two brothers, Russell (D.J.) Egan of Athens, Clyde (Lu) Egan of Venice, Fla. and Dorothy Dickey of Kimberly, Idaho; four grandchildren, Philip (Sue) D'Angelo, Dean (Debbie) D'Angelo, Dawn D'Angelo and Rick (Anne) D'Angelo; and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mark Dwain 'Pop' Harbison

Funeral services for Mark Dwain "Pop" Harbison, 57, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, with graveside services at 1 p.m. at Emeus Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Harbison died Tuesday, Feb. 17. He was born Sept. 16, 1946, to Basil Gordon and Lois A. Stevens Harbison. He was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include four sons, Mark D. Harbison Jr., Eric Harbison, Darrin Harbison and Steven Harbison, all of Cullman; three daughters, Annette Anders of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Dena Harbison and Dawn Chambers, both of Cullman; two brothers, Lester Harbison and Dennis Harbison, both of Cullman; two sisters, Debbie Lewis of Chilton and Denise Wagner of Cullman; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Newton Clendenon

Funeral services for James Newton Clendenon, 52, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Jerry Flemming officiating, with Burial in Etha Baptist Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clendenon died Monday, Feb. 16 at his residence. He was born March 4, 1951, in Grundy County, Tenn., to Jessie Newton and Mae Meeks Clendenon. He was a truck driver with Chamblee Trucking and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Raymundo Clendenon of Cullman; four sons, Jimmy Martin of Trimble, Terry Pierce and Earl Pierce, both of Simcoe, and Rusty Fields of Hanceville; three daughters, Candy Powell of Good Hope, Brenda Chamblee of Arab and Linda Hinkle of Simcoe; a brother, Ronnie Roberts of McMinnville, Tenn.; two sisters, Vickie Priest of McMinnville, Tenn. and Elaine Sparks of Fairview; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ernest Silvey Wimpee

Funeral services for Ernest Silvey Wimpee, 71, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, the Rev. David Wimpee officiating, with Burial in Eidson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Wimpee died Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 8, 1932, in Gadsden to Charles and Ruth Hood Wimpee. He was a residential painter and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, M.R. Wimpee, Raymond Wimpee and Eddie Wimpee; and a sister, Eloise Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gilley Wimpee of Fairview; three sons, David Wimpee of Gadsden, Danny Wimpee of Huntsville and Doug Wimpee of Lacey's Spring; three daughters, Teresa Bolding of Lacey's Spring, Chastity Jarman of Section and Sandy Maynor of Fairview; three brothers, Jimmy Wimpee of Fairview, Milton Wimpee of Gadsden and Ott Wimpee of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mary Free of Houston, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dorothy Farley McHan Ayers

Funeral services for Dorothy Farley McHan Ayers, 86, of Hartselle will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Peck Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating, with Burial in Good Hope Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ayers died Monday, Feb. 16, at her residence. She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Walker County to John Gilbert and Emily Omega Turner Farley. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Hartselle.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Roy McHan and Preston Ayers; three sons, John Ayers, Jimmy Ayers and Wayne McHan; three stepsons, Norman McHan, Thurman McHan and Theaddies McHan; and a stepdaughter, Thealene Cobb.

Survivors include two sons, Chester McHan and Randy McHan, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Joyce Hooven and Connie Weeks, both of Decatur; a stepdaughter, Essie Mabry of Florence; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Britt, Lamar Weeks, Jason Weeks, Thomas McHan, Gene Beasley and Shane Vinson.

Visitation was Tuesday.
