Cora Lee Holmes

Funeral services for Cora Lee Holmes, 90, of Falkville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Falkville First Baptist Church, the Rev. Jack Lovelace officiating, with Burial in Falkville City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Holmes died Monday, Feb. 16, at Decatur Health and Rehab. She was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Falkville to Fred L. and Rosella Robertson Akins. She was a homemaker and a member of Falkville First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George H. Holmes; a son, Charles Lee Holmes; a grandson, Randy Holmes; a great-grandson, Aaron Holmes; and two sisters, Beatrice Akins and Sarah Crow.

Survivors include four sons, David E. "Gene" Holmes of Falkville, the Rev. Paul W. "Buddy" Holmes of Hartselle, Freddie Roy Holmes Sr. of Houston and George W. "Joe" Holmes of Decatur; a daughter, Patricia A. "Patsy" Coots of Cullman; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Freddie R. Holmes Jr., Todd Coots, Tony Holmes, Shawn Holmes, Michael Holmes and Mike Lawrimore.

Visitation was Tuesday.

William David Yates

Funeral services for William David Yates, 71, of Remlap will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004, at Lemley Chapel in Oneonta, the Revs. Barry Hallman and Gene Ashley officiating, with Burial in Blount Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Lemley Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Yates died Sunday, Feb. 15, at his residence. He was born in Alabama to John T. and Myrtle Elliott Yates. He was a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was a retired truck driver. He lived in Blount County for the past 30 years, was a member of the Palmerdale United Methodist Church for the past 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Taft and Myrtle Yates; a brother, Leroy Yates; and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Yates of Remlap; a daughter, Christy (Steve) Griffin of Michigan; two sons, William O'Neal (Pauline) Knight of Birmingham and James A. Tony (Katy) Knight of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clifton Yates of Kansas, Quinnon Yates of California and Donald Yates of Nectar; and three sisters, Syphellar Henderson and Iola (Penny) Honeycutt, both of Cullman, and Roberta McCoy of Nectar.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Maria Morgan Moore

Funeral services for Elizabeth Maria Morgan Moore, 22, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at White Oak Baptist Church, the Rev. Ray Key officiating, with Burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moore died Friday, Feb. 13 at her residence. She was born Aug. 17, 1981. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Damien Moore and Steven Moore, both of Cullman; a daughter, Brittney Moore of Arkadelphia; her father, David Morgan of Cullman; her mother, Patti (Steve) Hopkins of Virginia; a brother, Daniel Morgan of Cullman; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hatfield of West Virginia and Jean Lindsey of Logan; special friend, Jeremy Young of Vinemont; four aunts; and five uncles.

Pallbearers will be Brian George, Anthony Dunn, Michael Washam, Joe Haff, Harvey Day and Kevin Day.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

David Coie Cryer

Funeral services for David Coie Cryer, 84, of Holly Pond will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Union Grove Baptist Church, Frank McKenzie officiating, with Burial in Union Grove Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Cryer died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1919, in Cullman. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Cryer; a granddaughter, Jenny Christy; her parents, Dave Montgomery and Mary Essie Elizabeth Beck Carr; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Cryer; and two sons-in-law, Joe Bob Saye Sr. and Paige Rutledge.

Survivors include five sons, Cecil (Edith) Cryer, Roger (Angela) Cryer, Randy (Debbie) Cryer and Larry Wayne (Gail) Cryer, all of Holly Pond, and Bobby (Donna) Cryer of Walkers Corner; six daughters, Betty Christy and Patsy (Glenell) Laughlin, both of Blountsville, Dotty (James) Bodine of Guntersville, Shirley Rutledge of Trimble, Judy (Larry) Watwood of Holly Pond and Vickey (Rodney) Prentice of Baileyton; a sister, Bonnie Cryer of Sylacauga; 32 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Van Alldredge, Danny Freeman, Tim Wright, Jimmy Dover, John Christy and Jeremy Dyson.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today.

Robert William Heinrich

Graveside services for Robert William Heinrich, 54, of Cullman will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Michael O'Neal officiating.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Heinrich died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 22, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pa. to Albert and Elsie Schloendorn Heinrich. He was an accountant with Forrest Ingram.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sons, Rob Heinrich, Christopher Heinrich and Matt Heinrich, all of Cullman; two brothers, James Heinrich of Philadelphia, Pa., and Richard Heinrich of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two sisters, Janice Halbrunner of North Carolina and Susan Heinrich of Las Vegas, Nev.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Barbara Ann Youngblood Hazelrig

Funeral services for Barbara Ann Youngblood Hazelrig, 61, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Blount County Funeral Chapel, Tim Dubberly officiating, with Burial in Youngblood Cemetery.

Blount County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hazelrig died Wednesday, Feb. 18, at her residence. She was born in Blount County to Tom and Dorothy Wilson Youngblood. She was a member of Simcoe Worship Center.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Marshall Dale Hazelrig.

Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Teresa (Ronald) Farr of Bessemer; two sisters, Shirley (A.R.) Johnson of Cullman and Marilyon (Gene) Cleveland of Horton; a grandson, Ronald Shane Farr; and three great-grandchildren, Cody, Katlyn and Michael Farr.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Cleveland, Al Johnson, Johnny Mathews, Gene Cleveland, A.R. Johnson and Bernice Wilson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Rachel Mary Wisner Bailey

Funeral services for Rachel Mary Wisner Bailey, 80, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Jimmy McClendon and Malcom Carter officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery. Gospel singing will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bailey died Friday, Feb. 20, at Medical Center East in Birmingham. She was born April 26, 1923, in Alabama. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jackson and Martha Matilda Weathers Wisner.

Survivors include her husband, R.C. Bailey; a sister, Edna Burks Smith; six nieces; and 11 nephews.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. today.

James A. 'Jim' Perkins

Funeral services for James A. "Jim" Perkins, 62, of Crane Hill, formerly of Forestdale, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Crestview Memorial Chapel, with Burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens.

Crestview Memorial Funeral Home of Adamsville is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Perkins died Friday, Feb. 20. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a diesel mechanic.

He was preceded in death by by his father, Elbert A. Perkins; and a son, James Carlos Perkins.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Perkins of Crane Hill; two daughters, Lora Lynn (Thomas) Renfroe of Mt. Olive and Meghan Perkins of Crane Hill; a stepdaughter, Sherri Fikes (Wayne) Boshell of Graysville; five grandchildren, Lauren Renfroe, Justin Phillips, Carlie Perkins, Chad Renfroe and Brooke Renfroe; his mother, Lora Belle Perkins of Republic; a brother, Jerry W. (Billie Jean) Perkins of Copeland's Ferry community; and two sisters, Mary Etta (James) Bates and Eleanor Pledger, both of Republic.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Isie Phine Timmons

Funeral services for Isie Phine Timmons, 86, of Hanceville will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Fairview Baptist Church, with Burial in Colony Cemetery in Hanceville. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Timmons died Thursday, Feb. 19, in Birmingham. She was born April 9, 1917, in Greenville to Eli and Annie Wilson Bowens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Timmons; and one daughter, Ola Timmons.

Survivors include four sons, Hollis Timmons Jr. of Montgomery; Jimmy Timmons Sr. of Spring Hill, Tenn.; Levert Timmons of Detroit, Mich.; and Moses Timmons of Hanceville; five daughters, Annie Bush, Rose Drane, Irene Everett and Minnie Williams, all of Birmingham, and Celia Wooley of Warrior; one sister, Mandy McCord of Montgomery; and 36 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Michael Timothy 'Tim' Johnson

Funeral services for Michael Timothy "Tim" Johnson, 55 of Center Point, formerly of Birmingham, are incomplete and will be announced later by the funeral home.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Johnson died Saturday, Feb. 21, at Woodland Village Nursing Home.

Susan Odell Vance-Vickery

Funeral services for Susan Odell Vance-Vickery, 65, of Pleasant Grove will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Brown Service West Chapel Funeral Home, the Rev. Jerry Sherrill officiating, with Burial in Valhalla Cemetery.

Brown Service West Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Vance-Vickery died Friday, Feb. 20. She was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Vickery; one son, Cecil Ross Vickery; one daughter, Karen Delores Vickery-Beck; four sisters, Irene Duren, Leatrice Hardaman, Inez Dover and Audrey Methvine; one brother, Charlie Vance; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashley Willingham.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cage Farris Colley

Graveside services for Cage Farris Colley, 84, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, at Cullman Memory Gardens, Pastor Debbie Williams officiating.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Colley died Monday, Feb. 23, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1919, in Saltville, Va., to Thomas Wilson and Louise Colley. He was a veteran and owned his own business.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Colley of Hanceville; one son, Thomas Colley of Hanceville; one sister, Martha Jane Varney of Richlands, Va.; three grandchildren, Cager Newell Colley of Huntsville and Cris Farris Colley and Penny Rene Waldrop, both of Wilmington, N.C.; two step-grandchildren, Mark Blevins and Tanya Venters, both of Orlando, Fla.; 10 great-grandchildren, Crysten Colley, Cassie Colley, Robert Cody Smith, Cayla Colley-Smith, Caitlan Colley-Smith, Clarissa Colley, An'Marie Venters, Jonathan Venters, Courtney Blevins and Nicholas Blevins; one great-great-grandson, Camryn Colley; and 24 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
