Sandra Kay Fulenwider

Funeral services for Sandra Kay Fulenwider, 57, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at First Church of the Nazarene, Greg Story, Aaron Coffey and Jerri Hunt officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fulenwider died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 31, 1947, in Cullman to James C. and Florene Dean Headrick. She was a teacher's aid for Cullman City Board of Education. She was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was loved by everyone that knew her and was a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Dan Fulenwider of Cullman; a son, Brian Fulenwider of Cullman; and a brother, Jim (Virginia) Headrick of Cullman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation was Friday.

James 'Jim' Harold Lovvorn

Funeral services for James "Jim" Harold Lovvorn, 70, of Birmingham will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Chaplin John Hardin officiating, with Burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lovvorn died Thursday, Nov. 4, at Medical Center East.

William Lawrence Arrington

Funeral services for William Lawrence Arrington, 94, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Hermon Lambert and Paul Monk officiating, with Burial in Union Grove Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Arrington died Friday, Nov. 5, at Woodland Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1910, in DeKalb County to Andrew Jackson and Liza Ann Stevens Arrington. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Betty Jean Arrington; six brothers, A.C. Arrington, Arlin Arrington, Clennon Arrington, Dewey Arrington, Clarence Arrington and Millard Arrington; and two sisters, Pearlie Hester and Luola Trussell.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Lowrell Johns Arrington of Cullman; three sons, Jackie Ray (Margaret) Arrington of Vinemont, Bobbie Gene Arrington and Charles Larry (Betsy) Arrington, both of Cullman; a daughter, Helen Oneal (Ruben) Beall of Decatur; two brothers, Olan Arrington of Holly Pond and Leroy Arrington of Baileyton; a sister, Agnes Burrow of Pelham; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles Arnie Cagle

Funeral services for Charles Arnie Cagle of Houston will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Nichols Funeral Chapel in Addison, with Burial in Ashbank Cemetery in Nauvoo.

Nichols Funeral Home of Addison is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cagle died Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Birmingham.

P.T. 'Pete' Hooper

Funeral services for P.T. "Pete" Hooper, 68, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Andrew Chambers and the Rev. Kelley officiating, wiht Burial in Bethel Cemetery in Morgan County.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hooper died Friday, Nov. 5, at his residence.

Janet Nunnelley

Funeral services for Janet Nunnelley, 60, of Fairview will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, the Rev. Lynn Perkins officiating, with Burial in Concord Baptist Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Nunnelley died Friday, Nov. 5, at Woodland Medical Center. She was born May 13, 1944, to Vernard and Inez Smith. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Nunnelley served on the Fairview Town Council for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernard Smith; one sister, Lois McCaig; and two nephews, Rick Shelnutt and Van Wilson.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Morris Nunnelley; two daughters, Tammy (Randy) Speakman and Kim Mardis, both of Fairview; her mother, Inez Smith of Fairview; one brother, Wendell "Bud" (Melba) Smith of Berlin; two grandchildren, Amber Mardis (Shane Bagwell) of Hanceville and Amy Mardis of Hatton; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Saturday.

Ferrell Russell Wimbs

Funeral services for Ferrell Russell Wimbs, 65, of Eva, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at Bethel Methodist Church in Morgan County, the Rev. Steve McCulley officiating, with Burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wimbs died Saturday, Nov. 6, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1939, to John Russell and Julia A. Helcomb Wimbs. He was a retired factory worker with 3M Company and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Margaret Bell and Velma Creel.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Shaddix Wimbs of Eva; three brothers, Bentley (Mary) Wimbs of Somerville, Travis Wimbs of Cullman and Neville Wimbs of Kansas; four sisters, Thelma Webb of Hartselle, Norine (Kenny) Ray of Moulton, Vivian (Albert) Lynn of Gulf Shores and Luda (James) Taylor of Eva; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Joy E. Clark

Funeral services for Joy E. Clark, 59, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Dr. Bill Burkett officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Clark died Monday, Nov. 8 in Cullman. She was born Nov. 17, 1944.

He was preceded in death by his father, Millard Clark.

Survivors include two sons, Zaine (Stephanie) Cupp and Brent (Candi) Cupp; his mother, Hazel E. Clark; a brother, Buddy (Diane) Clark; and four grandchildren, Caleb, Karlie, Natosha and Storm.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. today.

Pauline Jeanette Farley

Funeral services for Pauline Jeanette Farley, 83, of Baileyton will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Revs. Clenon Shedd and Norman Dye officiating, with Burial in Lystra Baptist Church Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Farley died Monday, Nov. 8, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1921, in Cullman County to George Warner and Carrie Ola Taylor Huddleston. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H. Lawrence Farley; and six brothers, Dewey, Ben, Henry, Charlie, Silas and Garfield Huddleston.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggie Nunnelley of Baileyton and Edith Patterson of Cullman; a sister, Elsie Cornett of Cullman; three sisters-in-law, Alma Huddleston of Gadsden, Ozell Huddleston of Baileyton and Nevells Huddleston of Pascagoula, Miss.; four grandchildren, Neal Nunnelley, Kerry Patterson and Marty Patterson, all of Cullman, and Nicola Nunnelley of Hanceville; and four great-grandchildren, Amber Duke of Hanceville, Josh Nunnelley, ChelCee Nunnelley and Devin Cason, all of Cullman.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Julia S. Scarborough

Julia S. Scarborough, born Jan. 28, 1926, a resident of both Cullman and Gardendale, moved to her heavenly home on Nov. 8, 2004. She was preceded in this move by her parents, Dewey Smith Sr. and Mary Smith Phelps; a stepfather, Edward Phelps; a brother, Dewey Smith Jr.; and her sister, Evelyn Moore. She especially anticipated this move to join her precious granddaughter, Christen Scarborough.

Her love for her Savior, her family, the Bible, church, church music and friends leaves a legacy for her adoring husband of 58 years, Thomas Reid Scarborough Sr.; a brother, James H. (Polly) Smith of Birmingham; two daughters, Dianne (Lynn) Ragland and Sheila (Clay) Johnson; two sons, Thomas Reid (Celia) Scarborough Jr., all of Gardendale, and Ed (Terri) Scarborough of Cullman; seven grandchildren, Shelley (Mike) Burkett, Ayla Scarborough, Julie (Bryan) Harris, Celina (Josh) Brakefield, Rheana Scarborough, Nohealani Naehu and Kanoa Naehu; six great-grandchildren, Emily and Mary Elizabeth Harris, Hannah Scarborough, Jackson, Andrew and Katie Burkett; several nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved Goodwill Sunday School Class and her treasured Catalina Friends.

Her love for church music was reflected in her life and in her prayer for God to give her musical children. She sang in a trio, ensemble and choir at the Birmingham Gospel Tabernacle in her young adult life. She was organist or pianist for over 40 years at the Birmingham Gospel Tabernacle, Mt. Olive Alliance Church, Smoke Rise Methodist Church, Gardendale's Lutheran Church, Walker Chapel Methodist Church, Smoke Rise Baptist Church, the Salvation Army, and sometimes for her Goodwill Sunday School Class. She also taught piano, organ and accordion for over 15 years. During her retirement years she sang in Gardendale's First Baptist Church Choir. Her prayer for musical children was answered through her son, Tommy, who serves as minister of music for Central Park Baptist Church and is a music educator in the Birmingham School System and her daughter, Sheila Johnson, who is a music teacher and has served as pianist or organist for over 25 years at Beechwood Baptist Church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Gardendale's First Baptist Church and currently sings on the Praise Team, and leads a choir rehearsal. Her daughter, Dianne Ragland, and son, Ed Scarborough, both sing in Gardendale's First Baptist Church Choir along with her granddaughters, Shelly Burkett, a soloist and a Praise Team member, and Rheana Scarborough, a youth choir member. Granddaughter Julie (Bryan) Harris and great-granddaughter, Emily Harris, are all participants in the music and drama programs of Lakeside Baptist Church in Hoover.

Her favorite verse, Psalm 16:11 is a special tribute to her, "You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever."

The family will welcome friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and for a celebration service at 11 a.m. Thursday, both at First Baptist Church. A final tribute will be at Moncrief Cemetery. Her pastor, Steve Gaines, whom she loved so much, will officiate as well as Senior Adult Minister, S.L. Williamson, and Minister of Praise and Worship, Jamie Parker.

Her casket will be carried out of their great love and respect for her by her sons-in-law, Clay Johnson and Lynn Ragland, her nephew, Donnie Moore, and her grandsons-in-law, Mike Burkett, Bryan Harris and Josh Brakefield.

The family requests that any memorials be made to Gardendale's First Baptist Church Library.

Gary Dwayne Sullivan

Funeral services for Gary Dwayne Sullivan, 40, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Wendell Powers officiating, with Burial in Crosses Chapel Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sullivan died Wednesday, Nov. 10 at his residence. He was born Nov. 10, 1964, in Texas to Grady Delmar and Vera Mae Falkner Sullivan. He was a machine operator.

Survivors include his parents; a sister, Vicky Mercer; and his grandfather,H Grady Dee Sullivan.

Pallbearers will be Jack Mercer, David Falkner, Doug Sullivan, Kenneth Macks, Nicholas Falkner and Jerry Woody.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.

Jerry Don Patterson

Funeral services for Jerry Don Patterson, 52, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Ray Ponder officiating, with Burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Patterson died Wednesday, Nov. 10 at his residence. He was born April 14, 1952, to John and Louise Patterson of Cullman. He was a lifelong resident of Cullman.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Martha (Harry) Nase of Alabaster and Jan (Mike) Strain of Cullman; a niece, Donna Rice; two nephews, Chad and Todd Easterwood; and two great-nephews, Trey and Drew Easterwood.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today.

Joy E. Clark

Funeral services for Joy E. Clark, 59, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at Moss-Service Chapel, Dr. Bill Burkett officiating, with Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Miss Clark died Monday, Nov. 8 in Cullman. She was born Nov. 17, 1944.

She was preceded in death by his father, Millard Clark.

Survivors include two sons, Zaine (Stephanie) Cupp and Brent (Candi) Cupp; his mother, Hazel E. Clark; a brother, Buddy (Diane) Clark; and four grandchildren, Caleb, Karlie, Natosha and Storm.

Visitation was Wednesday.

John H. Harrison Sr.

John H. Harrison Sr., 64, formerly of Hanceville, passed away Sept. 24, 2004, in Birmingham. He was born Jan. 3, 1940, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Emmitt and Elsie Harrison.

He had one sister, Martha Hess, also from Indianapolis.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his three children, Donna Spradlin of Chalkville, Ginger Morris of Kimberly and John H. Harrison Jr. of Cullman; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held.

Melba Louise Federer

Funeral arrangements for Melba Louise Federer, 83, of Cullman are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Williams-McCracken Funeral Home.

Ms. Federer died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Woodland Village.
