Services for Ruth C. Kirk, 91, of Anniston will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Henry McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Kirk died Friday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a sister, Hattie O. Howze of Anniston; a niece, Bertha O. Morgan of Chicago; and a nephew, James A. Mitchell of Anniston.

Pallbearers will be students of her class.

Mr. Moore died Monday at his home.

Services for Vinnie C. Swain, 89, of 4163 Nottingham Road will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Kingston Baptist Church with Rev. Cornelius W. Brown III officiating. Burial will be in Kidd Street Cemetery with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Swain died Friday at her home.

Survivors include 10 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Jewell Watson, 87, of Ashville, formerly of Birmingham, will be today at 11 a.m. at Greensport Baptist Church in Ashville with Rev. Marlin Cox officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Pell City in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Watson died Monday at Medical Center East in Birmingham.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and James Jones of Port St. Joe, Fla.; two sons and their wives, A.J. and Bonnie Watson Jr. of Ashville and Preston and Candy Watson of Mt. Dora; four sisters and their husbands, Euna and Cecil Warren of Bessemer, Lillie Mae and Payne Swan of Ashville, Virginia Kilgore of Trussville and Eloise and Tom Fulmer of Leeds; a brother, Hubert Bishop of Ashville; and six grand-children, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Watson was a native of Ethelsville and a former resident of Birmingham. She had lived in Ashville 25 years and was a member of Greensport Baptist Church. She was a former member of Bilbro Eastern Star Lodge 716 in Powderly. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Watson Sr.; a brother, Ledew Bishop; and a sis-ter, Dorothy Gouldock.

Services for James W. Williams, 91, of 1302 Hatcher Ave. will be today at 3 p.m. at Hatcher Avenue Baptist Church with Revs. William Cain and Larry Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Whites Gap Cemetery with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Williams died Monday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth C. Williams of Jacksonville; a daughter, Jimmie Ruth Slaght of Centre; and seven grandchildren, Vaughn Slaght, Debra Owen, Phyllis Young, Donna Johnson, Judy Bailey, Roger Johnson and Ronald Glenn Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Craig Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, Richard Williams, Tyler Young, George Garmon and Wallace "Bubb" Garmon. Honorary pallbearers will be David Williams, Danny Williams, Ed Cullins, Jimmy Ford, Carlos Slaght, Jerry McCurry and Rebecca Vaughn.

Mr. Williams was a deacon at Whites Gap Baptist Church and Hatcher Avenue Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran and the owner and operator of Williams Antique Auction. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Frances Johnson and Annie O. Williams.

Services for Ruth Meeks Mize, 83, of 305 Raemon Drive, Anniston will be today at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with Rev. Chris Bruce officiating. Burial will be in Golden Springs Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mize died Tuesday at Beverly Health Care.

Survivors include a son, James Jr. Couch of Calhoun County; a sister, Jewell Jackson of Anniston; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert Pettus, Johnny Jackson, Brian LeCroy and Joel Golden.
Mrs. Mize was a member of Golden Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond M. Meeks and Ola Crossley Wilkerson Meeks; and her husband, Francis Mize.

Mr. Suggs died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Tuskegee.

Mr. Ware died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Tara Price Ware of Dallas; three daughters, Ja'hde' Ware, Ashle' Ware and T'ara Ware, all of Dallas; a son, Addonais Ware of Dallas; his father and stepmother, John and Shirley Ware of Talladega; a sister, Miste' Ware of Talladega; and four brothers, Jasper Ware of Montgomery, Shawn Ware of Atlanta, Chestane Ware of Dallas and Tige' Ware of Talladega.

Pallbearers will be the Talladega County Central High School Class of 1990.

Mr. Ware was a graduate of Talladega County Central High School and Grambling State University in Louisiana, where he majored in computer information systems. He was employed by Lucent Technologies in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Daniels Ware.

Memorial services for Mary Anne Williamson, 43, of Anacoco will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Polk Memorial Episcopal Church with Labby Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Williamson died Tuesday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Williamson of Anacoco; a son, Ian Williamson of Anacoco; a daughter, Samantha Williamson of Anacoco; and two sisters, Jane Tomkins Wood of Anniston and Susan Tomkins Smith of Dallas.

Mrs. Williamson was a native of Ridgewood, N.J. and had lived in Vernon Parish since 1986. She was a former clerk at the Vernon Parish Library and was a member of Polk Memorial Episcopal Church. She was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America and a member of the Daughters of the King.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Southwest Louisiana, P.O. Box 365, Many, LA 71449.

Services for Larry Earle Wooten, 57, of 11 Chateau Lane will be today at 1 p.m. at Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel with Rev. Duane Quesenberry officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Wooten died Tuesday in Oxford.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Florence Rutledge Harman and William W. Harman of Oxford; a daughter and her husband, Angela W. Kuykendall and Trent Kuykendall of Auburn; a son, Alan Wooten Paris of Seattle; and three grandchildren, Kristyn Kuykendall, Sean Kuykendall and Macy Kuykendall.

Mr. Wooten was a native of Calhoun County and a graduate of Anniston High School and the University of Alabama. He was a professor at Gadsden State Junior College and a former industrial engineer with Ingells Ship Building. He was a Baptist.
