ANNISTON

Services for Frank All, 53, of Anniston, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Irwin officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. All died Friday in Jacksonville.

Survivors include his daughter, Jean Sexton of Anniston; two grandsons, Drew and Matthew Sexton of Anniston; three sisters, Bettye Burns of White Plains, Gracie Anderson of Fruithurst and Geraldine Smith of Eastaboga, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Nasworthy, Ronald Glassco, Warren Turner, Tim Walton and Kenny Walker.

Mr. All was a native of Charleston, S.C. and had lived in Anniston 41 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School. He was employed at the Anniston Army Depot for a number of years and was a member of Moose Lodge 1669 in Anniston. He loved music and old cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margie All; a brother, Jack All, and three sisters, Bessie Hewitt, Ann Mohney and Helen Patty.

East

OXFORD

Services for Steve A. East, 44, of Oxford, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Dempsey officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 p.m.

Mr. East died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Veda East of Oxford; a daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Bryan Crews of Oxford; a sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Greg Martin of Lafayette, Ga.; and five nephews and five nieces.

Pallbearers include Keith McDill, William Pugh, Gene Heathcock, Pete Strickland, Stanley Bennett and Doug Wooten.

Mr. East was an avid outdoorsman. He was maintenance supervisor at FabArc Steel and a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, a member of B.A.S.S. Masters Association, the National Shoot to Retrieve Association and the American Hunting Club.

Harmon

OXFORD

Services for William W. Harman, Jr., 85, of Oxford, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel. Burial will be at Forestlawn Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Harmon died Saturday.

He is survived by his wife, Florence R. Harman of Oxford.

Pallbearers will be Keith Oglesby, Harry Burnell, Michael Burnell, Eddie Burnell, Joe Lett and Tony Coalson.

Mr. Harman was a native of Tuscaloosa and a long-time resident of Birmingham where he was a member of First United Church of Birmingham. He had lived in Calhoun County seven years. He was retired from the furniture wholesale business. He was preceded in death by his parents, William W. Harman, Sr. and Leah Seymour DeGraffenried; and his first wife, Fannie Cofield Harman.

Hill

JACKSONVILLE

Services for Dorothy Lee Hill, 76, of Jacksonville will be Monday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville with Revs. James Robertson, Amy Raser and Dr. Will Garrett officiating. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Hill died Saturday at her home.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Gail and Jerry Penny of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Nathan L. and Carol Hill of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Michael Penny, Traci Howard and Holly Hill; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Brock, Billy Brock, Michael Penny, Michael Howard, Winfred "Doc" Grimes, Joe Grimes and Larry Alexander.

Mrs. Hill was a native of Marshall County and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Hill and 20 brothers and sisters.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, P.O. Box 1025, Jacksonville, AL 36265.

Jordan

PIEDMONT

Services for Velma Jordan, 81, of Piedmont will be today at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford with Revs. Charles Davis and Bobby Maye officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time. Burial will be in the Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin.

Miss Jordan died Friday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include a sister, Mary McCulley of Anniston; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Jimmey Barclay Jr., Jason Johnson, Johnny Barclay, Frankie Barclay, Jacob Davis and Matthew Gable.

Miss Jordan attended Oakridge Baptist Church in Blue Mountain.

Lambert

MUSCADINE

Services for Robert Leroy Lambert, 81, will be announced by Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel.

Mr. Lambert died Wednesday in Muscadine.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Lambert of Muscadine; two daughters, Donna Pinheiro of Providence, R.I. and Kathy Marino of Bowdon, Ga; a son, Mark Lambert of Southbury, Conn.; a sister, Dorris Clapper of Phoenix, Ariz; a brother, Jack Lambert of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Christopher Lambert of Chicago, Michael Lambert of Connecticut, Robert Marino and Jessie Marino of Bowdon; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Anthony Marino.

Mr. Lambert was a native of Williamsport, Pa., and lived most of his life in Connecticut. He was a former member of the Democratic Town Committee of Heflin and was chairman of the Industrial Park Committee of Cleburne County. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a Methodist.

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of East Alabama, P.O. Box 2581, Anniston, AL 36202 or St. Judes Children's Hospital, 322 North Lauderdale Street, Memphis, TN 38105.

Services for Era Mae Ponder, 69, of Nances Creek will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Revs. Joe Harris and Gene Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Nances Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ponder died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James Rodney Proctor of Nances Creek; two sons and daughters-in-law, James H. and Diane Ponder and Paul D. and Felecia Ponder, all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Evelyn Houck and Faye Foley, both of Piedmont; a brother, Grady Davis of Piedmont; six grandchildren, Amy Nabors, April Peek, Dennis Proctor, Chad Ponder, Whitney Summers and Tyler Ponder; and four great-grandchildren, Colby Peek, Samuel Nabors, Dylan Ponder and Brian Scott Hawley.

Pallbearers will be Larry Peek, Bill Sheppard, Alan Kerr, Jerry Elser, Doug Ponder and Charles "Bunk" Ponder.

Mrs. Ponder was a native and lifelong resident of the Nances Creek area and was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James I. Ponder, and a daughter, Martha Ponder.

ANNISTON

Services for Joe G. Tate, 79, of Anniston will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Newland officiating.

Mr. Tate died Friday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Tate Wilborn of Anniston and Judy Tate McClellan of Naples, Fla.; three sons, Billy Joe Tate of Anniston, Jimmy Tate of Colfax, N.C. and Rickey Tate of Anniston; a sister, Rita Ingram of Childersburg; a stepsister, Fay Hill of Alpine; two brothers, Forrest Tate and Hal Tate, both of Anniston; four grandchildren, Terrie Tate of Orlando, Fla., Nancy Meitzler and Kim Williams, both of Birmingham and Joshua Hudspeth of Anniston; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Diggs Tate.

Mr. Tate was a member of Harvest Church of God. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Diabetes. Foundation, the Alzheimer's Foundation or to a favorite charity.

Services for Lois Pruitt Acker, 65, of Piedmont will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Rice officiating. Burial will be in Ragan Chapel Cemetery in Ohatchee. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Acker died Sunday at her home.

Survivors include four daughters, Debra Steed, Connie Farmer and Missy McFry, all of Piedmont and Susan Hannes of Dime Box, Texas; a son, Gene Acker of Georgia; her father, Marvin Pruitt of Ohatchee; four sisters, Francis McGlaughn of Ohatchee, Pat Carlton of Houston, Dorothy Thomas of McKinney, Texas and Kay Batchelor of Texas; two brothers, Junior Pruitt of Ohatchee and James Pruitt of Texas, 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.

Mrs. Acker was a native and resident of the Piedmont area most of her life. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a former employee of Piedmont Executive. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Tiny" Acker, and her mother, Levie Pruitt.

Services for Niles Draper Buse, 72, of Jacksonville will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jack Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Buse died Monday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Buse of Jacksonville; a daughter, Shirley Buse Bartiromo of Ortley Beach, N.J.; three sons, Benny D. Buse and Terry R. Buse, both of Jacksonville and Timothy J. Buse of Weaver, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Buse, Adam Buse, Jason Buse, Bill Roberts, Terry Buse, Jackie Wilkins and Aaron Buse.

Mr. Buse was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was employed 14 years with the Alabama Forestry Commission and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Hospice of East Alabama, P.O. Box 2581, Anniston, AL 36202.

Butterworth

CENTER HILL

Services for Nancy Ruth Butterworth, 57, of Center Hill, formerly of Calhoun County, will be today at 11 a.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Mac Buttram officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens in Anniston.

Mrs. Butterworth died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, C. Robert Butterworth of Center Hill; two sons and their wives, Robert P. and Regina Butterworth of Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Fla. and John C. and June Butterworth of Center Hill; a daughter and her husband, Susan and Charles Kendzierski of Hazel Park, Mich., and 13 grandchildren.

Mrs. Butterworth was born in Cullman County and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus S. Smith and Ollie V. Carter Smith; a son, Richard J. Butterworth; and two brothers, Jerry T. Smith and Ernest L. Smith.

Services for Elizabeth Cargile, 79, of Barfield will be announced by Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.

Mrs. Cargile died Monday at Clay County Hospital.
