JACKSONVILLE

Services for Ronica Dawne Striplin Key, 33, of Jacksonville will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Halls Chapel Congregational Holiness Church with Revs. Kent Mattox and Hollis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Key died Wednesday in Daphne.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Key of Jacksonville; two daughters, Emily V. Key and Jamie E. Key, both of Jacksonville; her mother and stepfather, Gwendolyn C. Ray and T.D. Ray Jr. of Daphne; a sister, Bethany B. Ray of Daphne; and a brother, Ted D. Ray III of Daphne.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Bragg, Josh Bragg, Zack Bragg, Stanley Clay, Don Langston and Paul Hanson.

Mrs. Key was a floral designer at Accent Florist in Jacksonville.

Miller

TALLADEGA

Memorial services for Evelyn Miller, 72, of Talladega will be today at 3 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Fields officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller died Thursday at Citizen's Baptist Medical Center.

Survivors include two sisters, Earline Mitchell of Jackson's Gap and Katherine Colquitt of Talladega; a brother, Drew T. Pitts of Jacksonville, Fla., three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was a native of Jefferson County and had lived in Talladega seven years. She was a waitress and was a member of Horn Memorial Baptist Church.

The family requests no flowers. Donations can be made to Horn Memorial Baptist Church, 2177 Horn Valley Road, Talladega, AL 35160.

TALLADEGA

Services for James Odran Miller, 88, of Talladega will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will be in Midway Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Miller died Friday at Talladega Health Care Center.

Survivors include two sisters, Willie Gravette of Talladega and Mary Frances Deuel of Munford, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie McKinney, Jamie McKinney, Ray Miller, Hubert Wright, Wayne Miller and Thomas Patterson.

Mr. Miller was a native of Clay County and had lived in Talladega most of his life. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Stephens

Graveside services for Ruth Deason Stephens, 82, of Anniston will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Edgemont Cemetery with Rev. Celia Cox officiating and Brown and Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stephens died Thursday.

Survivors include a sister, Betty D. Baugh of Anniston, four nieces, five nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ernest C. Aids, John W. Aids, Henry P. Baugh Jr., James R. Baugh, Robert W. Deason, William E. Deason, E. Witte Aids and Stephen L. Shockley.

Mrs. Stephens was a native of Oxanna and had lived in Anniston most of her life. She was a 1937 graduate of Anniston High School and served as treasurer of the Chink Lott Anniston High School Grand Reunion. She served as the office and credit manager for Marks Fitzgerald Furniture Company in Birmingham for many years. She was a member of McCoy United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Friendly Group United Methodist Women. She served as the adult coordinator of the church for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Stephens III; her parents, Robert and Verna Deason; and three brothers, Curtis A. Deason, Johnny L. Deason and William E. Deason.

Stringfellow

JACKSONVILLE

Claude Milford Stringfellow, 75, of Jacksonville died Thursday at Mattie Mullinax Assisted Living Center in Lincoln. Miller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Fay Musgrove Stringfellow; two sons, Milford B. Stringfellow of Jacksonville and Kennith Stringfellow of Wetumpka; two daughters, Vicki Weaver of Silsbee, Texas and Deborah Sage of Alpharetta, Ga.; three brothers, Ralph Stringfellow and Curt Stringfellow, both of Jacksonville and Earl Stringfellow of Weaver; a sister, Peggy Paul of Jacksonville, 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stringfellow was a member of Kingdom Hall in Jacksonville. He was a disabled Army veteran and was the retired owner of City Body Shop in Jacksonville.

Services for Oscar Elston Bernard, 45, of Nashville will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

Mr. Bernard died Monday at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville.

Boozer

JACKSONVILLE

Services for Emmie Boozer, 95, of Jacksonville will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 tonight at the funeral home.

Miss Boozer died Monday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include two sisters, Lillian West and Lois Knight, both of Jacksonville; a caregiver, Maxine Skelton of Jacksonville, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Gorey, Seymour West III, Tim Knight, Allen Knight, Mike Boozer and Ron Boozer. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Boozer, Seymour West Jr., Bobby Knight, Norman Gorey, Jimmy Littlejohn and Homer Skelton.

Miss Boozer was a native of Calhoun County and a Baptist. She attended Jacksonville Normal School and was one of the first graduates of Jacksonville State College. She retired after 42 years of teaching in the Calhoun County and Anniston school systems. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Gorey; and four brothers, Emmett Boozer, Leon Boozer, Aubrey Boozer and Lawrence Boozer.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to a favorite charity.

Services for Charles Edward Davis, 54, of Anniston will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Anniston Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Willie Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. The body will be at the chapel an hour prior to services.

Mr. Davis died Sunday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his mother, Christine Patton of Anniston; his father, Charles Bell of New York, N.Y.; and a sister, Dianne Davis of Gainesville, Fla.

Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Anniston and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

OAKDALE, Calif.

Sarah Simpson Day, 86, of Oakdale died Sunday at Memorial Hospital in Modesto. Burial was in Valley Home Memorial Park in Valley Home, Calif. with Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapel in charge.

Survivors include her husband, Murray Day of Oakdale; and a daughter, Margaret Clayton of Oakdale.

Mrs. Day was native of Anniston and had lived in Oakdale three years. She had been a teacher at Livermore Unified School District for 17 years. She had lived in Anniston from birth until 1958.

Services for Betty Jean Drummond, 64, of Talladega will be today at 2 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Hester and Walter Taft officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery.

Mrs. Drummond died Monday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis Ed Drummond of Talladega; a daughter, Dorthy Tereasa Sanders of Talladega; a son, Michael E. Drummond of Talladega; two sisters, Mary Allgood of Oxford and Louise Jones of Ashland; a brother, Jackie Bullard of Talladega, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Little, Robert Cunningham, Tommy Bullard, Chris Bullard, Scotty Bullard and Billy Ray Bullard.

Mrs. Drummond was a native of Rome, Ga., and had lived in Talladega County many years. She was a retired textile worker and was a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship in Talladega.

Services for Mary Bolt Kellum, 77, of Lineville were Monday at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Revs. Dennis Gisel and Travis Mitchell officiated. Burial was in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County.

Mrs. Kellum died Saturday at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

Survivors include her husband, Horace Kellum of Lineville; seven daughters, Kathleene Kelley of Prattville, Shirley Waldrep and Doris Caldwell, both of Roanoke, Sue Garner of Smyrna, Ga., Frances Teal of Franklin, Ga., Carolyn Allen of Montgomery and Joyce Edmondson of Jackson Gap; five sons, William Bolt of Sylacauga, Rev. Charlie Bolt of Talladega, Gerald Bolt of Anniston, Jimmy Kellum of Fresno, Calif. and David Kellum of Pakistan, Texas, 36 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lavell Bolt, Larry Knight, Mike Caldwell, Tim Caldwell, Jamie Gray, Jonathan Fordham and Jerry Waldrep. Honorary pallbearers were Keith Holloway, Mike Robinson, Jeff Gore, Coley Edmondson, Dennis Waldrep, Lee Wysner, George Woods and Eugene Woods.

Mrs. Kellum was a native of Cleburne County and a former resident of Roanoke. She was a homemaker and a member of Lineville Church of God. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laneta Gray, and a son, Frank Bolt.

McWilliams

Services for Arthur Alton McWilliams, 82, of Talladega will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Revs. Ed Hepenstall, Chet Roden and Bob Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park with Usrey Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. McWilliams died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Inez McWilliams of Talladega; a daughter, Teresa Bussie of Talladega; two sons, Arthur McWilliams of Nashville, Tenn., and Jerry McWilliams of Pelham; two sisters, Lillian Bowman of Talladega and Jeanne Ayers of Columbia, S.C.; four brothers, R.L. McWilliams of Montgomery and Troy McWilliams, Roland McWilliams and Kenneth McWilliams, all of Birmingham; his caregivers, Phyllis Suttle, Sherry Jackson, Dorothy Smoot, Glenda Crowe and Ivey Chavez, and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sean McWilliams, Mike McWilliams, Johnny McWilliams, Burk Wyatt, Matt Armbrester and Tim Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Ferrel Alford, Travis Prestridge, Shelton Creed, James Massey, Harry Ezekial, B.C. King, C.L. Dobbs, Lewis Summers, Ronnie Finch, John Gaither, Herbert Miller, Rodney Finch, Pete Gaither, Gerald Bussey, John Woodard, L.D. Grogan, Lowell Stephens and Doyle Smith.

Mr. McWilliams was a native of Talladega County and a 1938 graduate of Munford High School. He attended Jacksonville State University and had served in the Air Force from 1941-1944 and the U.S. Army 167th Infantry from 1949-1953. He retired from Kimberly Clark in 1981 after 31 years of service.

Memorials can be made to Lakeside Hospice or a favorite charity.
