Gilmore

OXFORD

Services for Cleo W. Gilmore, 66, of Oxford will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Collett officiating. Burial will be in Salt Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gilmore died Thursday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Joe F. Gilmore of Oxford; a daughter and her husband, Debra Lynn and Gary F. Burke of Oxford; a son and his wife, Ronnie and Tina Gilmore of Oxford; two brothers, Gary White and Arnett White, both of Oxford; two sisters, Jane Waldrop of Oxford and Judy Moody of DeArmanville; and a grandchild, Shannon Michelle Gilmore.

Pallbearers will be Dale Stephens, Dana Stephens, Derek Nunn, Brett Moody, Charles Jobson, Zach Waldrop, Ben Surrency and Eddie Brannon.

Mrs. Gilmore was a native of Talladega County and had lived in Calhoun County most of her life. She was retired from Anniston Sportswear and was a member of Salt Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Nellie White; two brothers, Howard A. White and Kenneth White; and two sisters, Florence Stephens and Barbara Champion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lakeside Hospice.

Hancock

TALLADEGA

Services for Richard Lewis "Butch" Hancock, 95, of Talladega will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jacobs Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mark L. Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park with Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Hancock died Sunday at Talladega Healthcare Center.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mr. Hancock was a member of Jacobs Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and was retired from the city of Mansfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Mae Hancock; his parents, Jim and Lorene Hughes Hancock; and all his siblings.

Rampy

BOWDON, Ga.

Services for Dorothy S. Rampy, 85, of Bowdon will be today at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Wysner, Ridley Herren and W.M. Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Rainwater and West Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Rampy died Wednesday at Crawford W. Long Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Gregg and Susan Hyde, both of Woodland and Jo Ann Wiggins of Bowdon; a son, Gilbert Rampy of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Beulah Denney of Newnan, Ga., Vertie Whitley of Ranburne and Syble Campbell of Bremen, Ga., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shan Hyde, Tony Hyde, Gilbert Rampy, Dale Gregg, Steven Gregg and Chris Brown.

Mrs. Rampy was a native of Carroll County, Ga., and was a retired supervisor from Bremen-Bowdon Investment Co. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Rampy; and her parents, Samuel L. and Dora Yates Smith.

Ratley

ASHLAND

Services for Mary E. Ratley, 83, of Ashland will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with the Revs. Wayne Adams and Ray Milstead officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 5:30-8 tonight and until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ratley died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Pritchett of Montgomery, Patricia Tripp of Ashland and Kitty Powell of Prattville; a son, John L. Ratley Jr. of Ashland; a brother, Bert Poyner Jr. of Loundesboro, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ratley was born and raised in Georgiana and had lived most of her life in Montgomery and Ashland. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Ratley Sr., and a son, James Wilford Ratley.

Remy

NEW ORLEANS, La.

Graveside services for Jacqueline Parrish Remy, 81, of New Orleans were Nov. 9 at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans with P.J. McMahon and Sons Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Remy died Nov. 2 at her home.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Remy Pons of New Orleans and Karen Remy Paxton of Anniston; five grandchildren, Blain Paxton, Jill Paxton, Carin Lombardino, Tracy Broussard and Michael Pons, and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Remy was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Remy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that something kind be done for a stranger.

Services for Johnny Scales, 59, of Talladega will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

Mr. Scales died Wednesday at University Hospital in Birmingham.

Services for Mary Thomas, 52, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

Ms. Thomas died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center.

Weaver

Services for Florence Weaver, 93, of Anniston were Tuesday in Tipp City, Ohio with Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Weaver died Nov. 9 at her home.

Survivors include a niece and her husband, Michele and Ron Clifton of Anniston; and a nephew, Brett Rupert of Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Weaver was a longtime resident of Tipp City and was preceded in death by her husband, Willard "Bill" Weaver.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of East Alabama.

Services for Jeraldine Williams, 73, of Talladega will be announced by Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary.

Ms. Williams died Thursday at Baptist Medical Center-Montclair in Birmingham.

Alexander

Graveside services for Luisella Paolini Alexander, 78, of Anniston will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Cave Springs Cemetery in Attalla with Father Robert J. Sullivan officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home in charge. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in Florence, Italy this morning.

Mrs. Alexander died Thursday at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham.

Survivors include her sister, Fernanda Quercetelli of Florence, Italy; a nephew and his wife, Andrea and Letizia Quercetelli, both of Florence, Italy; and two great-nephews, Pietro and Niccolo Quercetelli, both of Florence, Italy.

A native of Italy, Mrs. Quercetelli lived in the Saks area for 34 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Alexander. The family suggests memorials be made to the Cave Springs Cemetery Care Fund, c/o R.E. Saxon Jr., 2906 Duck Springs Road, Attalla, AL 35954.

Bolden

WEAVER

Graveside services for Doris Faye Bolden, 66, of Weaver will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Garry Burns officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bolden died Friday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Bolden of Weaver; two daughters, Janda Bolden of Jacksonville and Mary Ann Hendrick and her husband, Bob, of Oxford; a son, Steven L. Bolden of Spring Garden; her mother, Willie Cooper of Anniston; two sisters, Linda Gregory of Anniston and Shirley Couch of Gadsden; a brother, Jimmy Trantham of Valdosta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, LaCrisha Miller, Amy Sams, Brandy Sams, Emerald Porter, Sherie Miller, Steven Bolden, John Bolden, Joseph Bolden, and Joshua Bolden; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bob Hendrick, Q.L. Nelson, Richard Henderson, Wayne Wilson and Neil Miller.

A native of Calhoun County and a resident of Weaver, Mrs. Bolden was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Memorials may be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 17152, Montgomery, AL 36117.
