Hunnicutt

PIEDMONT

Services for Lorena Bernice Hunnicutt, 76, of Piedmont will be today at 11 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with The Rev. Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunnicutt died Tuesday at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Louise Taylor of Hokes Bluff; a niece, Betty Sue Heaton; and two nephews, Larry Davidson and David Taylor.

Pallbearers will be James Warren, Jackie Justus, Lee Davidson, Greg Davidson, Matthew Mills and Gary Cothran.

Mrs. Hunnicutt had lived in Etowah County most of her life and was a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Temples Fuller Hunnicutt.

Keith

ANDERSON, Ind.

Services for Lillie Mary Chapman Keith, 87, of Anderson, formerly of Talladega, will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with The Revs. Richard Fair and George Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Africa Church Cemetery with Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Keith died Friday at Manor Care.

Survivors include two daughters, Annie Ruth Easley of Alpine and Mildred J. Lewis of Anderson; a stepdaughter, Winnie Keith of Roanoke; three stepsons, Joe Henry Keith of Columbus, Ohio, Billy Keith of Montezuma, Ga. and Ray Keith of Brooklyn, N.Y., 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Stanley Dark, John S. Easley IV, Robert Weatherly, Calvin Howell, Greg Spriggs and Tommy Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of deacons of St. Campbell Baptist Church.

Mrs. Keith was a retired seamstress from Jo Ann Dress Shoppe. She was a member of St. Campbell Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, Bible school worker, a deaconess and treasurer of the Mt. Carmel District Baptist Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. John Henry Keith; a daughter, Ernestine Poe; a sister, Annie Bell Angel; four brothers, Willie Chapman, Lovell Chapman, Greenwood Chapman and Robert Chapman; and her parents, Zack Chapman and Elvira Lawler Chapman.

Kent

LAFAYETTE

Services for Grady Leslie Kent, 79, of Lafayette, formerly of Wadley, will be today at 10 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home in Roanoke with The Rev. Claude Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Concord Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Kent died Tuesday at Lafayette Nursing Home.

Survivors include a sister, Flossie Stone of Lanett; three brothers, Paul Kent and Grover Kent, both of New Braunfels, Texas and Jack Kent of Pinelas Park, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Lamb, Tony Meadors, Kevin Meadors and Stanley Bennett.

Mr. Kent was a native of Chambers County and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Tom and Della Mae Kent; and two brothers, Lonnie Kent and John Will Kent.

Services for Odessa Kirk, 82, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

Mrs. Kirk died Tuesday at her home.

Neal

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.

Graveside services for Michael Eugene Neal, 50, of Fort Lauderdale will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Prospect Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Ridley Parmer officiating and Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Neal died Monday in Woodland.

Survivors include five sisters, Peggy Whitehouse of Alexandria, La., Patsy Youngerman of Texas, Barbara Thompson of Cape May, N.J. and Margie Bowman and Linda Dawson, both of Lebanon, Mo.; three brothers, Bud Neal and Joe Neal, both of Woodland, and Bill Neal of Kernsville, W. Va.; and 18 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Neal was a Maryland native. He had been employed as a truck driver and was an Army Vietnam War veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War.

VanDorsten

Services for Ted Arnold VanDorsten, 51, of Anniston will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with The Rev. Virgil Bohn officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. VanDorsten died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gail Tidwell VanDorsten of Anniston; a son and his wife, Brandon Lee and Crystal Lynn VanDorsten of Talladega; his parents, Richard and Dorothy VanDorsten of Battle Creek, Mich.; six brothers, David VanDorsten, Roy VanDorsten, Tom VanDorsten, Todd VanDorsten and Tim VanDorsten, all of Battle Creek and Terry Tidwell of Anniston; a sister, Holly Murray of Anniston; three grandchildren, Lauren Ashley VanDorsten, Katie Nicole VanDorsten and Katlin Gaither; several nieces and nephews; and his surrogate parents, Homer and Lillian Tidwell of Anniston.

Pallbearers will be Neal Pate, Andy Wilson, Paul Crow, Doug Moore, Hosie Jacobs, Tyrone Henderson, Garrett Cadden, Willie Radford, Terry Bullard, Gerald Goldfard, Mike Sweet, Jerry Burgess, Frankie Carra and Larry White. Honorary pallbearers will be the U.S. Treasury Department FMS Branch in Birmingham.

Mr. VanDorsten was a Navy veteran and had served in Vietnam. He was retired from the U.S. Treasury Department after 26 years of service.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

TALLADEGA

Graveside services for Newell Benjamin Wilson, 64, of Talladega will be today at 2 p.m. at Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Randy Hagan officiating and Usrey Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Wilson died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Ann H. Wilson of Talladega; three daughters, Vickie Hare, Debra McCoy and Lee Wood, all of Talladega; a son, Robert Wilson of Birmingham; two brothers, Larry Neville and Billy Neville, both of Talladega, and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Farmer, Randy Small, Bruce Hutton, Donald Brannon, Luther Brannon and John Sprayberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Edwards and John Guyther.

Mr. Wilson was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church and was retired from U.S. Alliance.

Luallen

Services for James David Luallen, 76, of Anniston will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. David Duke officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Mausoleum with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Luallen died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Bell Luallen of Anniston; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Arnold of Anniston and Linda Fair Stephens and her husband, Terry, of Ohatchee; two sons and their wives, Jimmy Dale and Patty Luallen of Carrollton, Ga., and Donald Joe and Peggy Jean Luallen of Alexandria; five sisters, Irene Silas and Edna Wymer, both of Anniston, Vernice Haskew of Weaver, Betty Herring of Oxford and Bobby Hearn of Daytona, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Wendy Flournoy, Heath Luallen, Wesley Sayre, Kelley Cunningham, Scott Fair, Ben Fair and Kasey Luallen, and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

Mr. Luallen was a native of Talladega and had lived in Anniston most of his life. He was retired from Tape Craft and was a member of Alexandria Valley Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Fannie Luallen; a brother, Clifford Luallen, and several half brothers and sisters.

McMillan

JACKSONVILLE

Memorial services for Mabel C. McMillan, 88, of Jacksonville will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Terrace Lake Village in Guntersville with Jerry Harris officiating and K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.

Mrs. McMillan died Thursday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include two sisters, Cora Graves of Cook Springs and Adella Bodine of Leah, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Flora Segler of Guntersville; her caregivers, Neal and Nellie Estes of Jacksonville, and five nieces and four nephews.

Mrs. McMillan was a native of Marshall County and was retired from Mal Marshall Inc. of Miami, Fla. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Frostproof, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattie and J.R. Segler; and her husband, Leo L. McMillan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Marshall County Jail Ministries, Marshall Baptist Association, 3555 Alabama Highway 69 West, Guntersville, AL 35976.
