Memorial services for Nancy Joy Smith, 54, of Alexandria, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Covenant Life Church. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery with Anniston Memorial Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith died Thursday at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Pastor Dennis Smith of Alexandria; two sons, Kevin Smith and his wife, Tammy, and Jason Smith and his wife, Amy, all of Alexandria; two daughters, Angela Griffin and her husband, Alan, and LeeAnn Duke and her husband, Chris, all of Alexandria; three brothers, Ken Eaton, Jerry Eaton and Terry Eaton, all of Oxford; five sisters, Doris Mason of Douglasville, Ga., Glenda Knight of Anniston, Kathi Eaton of Nashville, Tenn., Rita Yager of New Port Ritchie, Fla. and Pam Kinzie of Fruitland Park, Fla.; three grandchildren, Samuel Griffin, Titus Griffin and Austin Smith; her father and mother-in-law, Frank and Mary Smith; and their daughter, Sarah Ann Smith, all of Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Covenant Life Cell Leaders.

Mrs. Smith was the pastor's wife at Covenant Life Church in Alexandria. She was involved in the ministry in Kentucky and Alabama for the past 33 years.

Services for Robert Smith, 82, of Anniston, will be Saturday at noon, at Anniston Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Samuel Stallings officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Smith died Nov. 29 at Mercy Medical Center in Homestead, N.Y.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhoa-Dea March of Birmingham; a son, Jessie Smith of Munford; two sisters, Martha Smith and Doris Sims, both of Anniston; a brother, Evans Smith of Milwaukee.; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two sons, his wife, his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Memorial services for Isaac Tenison "Rat" Weaver, 92, of Talladega, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Talladega, with Drs. Rob Paul and Ralph Thomas officiating. A private Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 9-11 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Nancy S. Weaver of Kennett Square, Pa.; four grandchildren, Scott T. Weaver, Katherine W. VanAntwerp, Richard C. Weaver. and David W. Weaver six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Weaver was a lifelong resident of Talladega. He operated both grocery and clothing businesses on the Talladega Square He was a partner with other family members in C. S. Weaver and Sons, Weaver Brothers and Weaver-Ragsdale. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and a member of the Tom Parker Sunday School Class. He served for six years as Finance Commissioner for the City of Talladega.

A graduate of Talladega High School, Mr. Weaver attended Marion military Institute and the United States Naval Academy.

For more than 50 years he was a member of the Talladega Kiwanis Club. The club awarded him the Distinguished Service Award and the Frank L. Harwell Lifetime Achievement Award. The Kiwanis Tenison Weaver Pancake Day was named in his honor. Mr. Weaver coached the Kiwanis Little League baseball team for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles S. Weaver; his mother, Antoinette Haynes Weaver; his wife, Katherine Thomas Weaver; a son, Charles H. Weaver; five sisters, Lora W. Ragsdale, Lassie W. Malone, Ivera W. Harper, Alma R. Weaver and Nina W. Dodge; four brothers, Cabot S. Weaver; W. Kiser Weaver Sr., C. Dewey Weaver and Jep P. Weaver.

Memorial donations may be made to the Weaver Library; or the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at the First Baptist Church of Talladega.

Services for John Haywood Wildman, 87, of Anniston, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Finley Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wildman died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a daughter, Gail Wilson, and her husband, William, of Anniston; a sister, Holly McCurry of Anniston; a brother, James Whaley of Rome, Ga.; two grandchildren, Angela Wilson, and Andrew Wilson and his wife, Sheila; three great-grandchildren, Jessica Wilson, Kylie Wilson and Drew Wilson; 14 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Coach John Adcock, Robert Champion, Wade McClure, Lindsay Ramey, Kenneth Vinson and John Winn.

Mr. Wildman was a native of St. Clair County and a resident of Anniston for 72 years. He was retired from Anniston Foundry, after 40 years of service; and from FMC Corporation. He was the oldest member of the Wellborn Athletic Association and an avid supporter of the Wellborn Athletic Program for 47 years. He was a member of the West Anniston Baptist Church and the John Adams Bible Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Wildman; a grandson, Jimmy "Skeet" Rust; and a daughter, Addie Veatrice Wildman.

Graveside services for Jimmie Lee Balkin, 85, of Anniston will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Edgemont Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Trader officiating and Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge. Visitation will be today from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Balkin died Friday at her home.

Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Mack of Laurel, Miss. and Mary Lou Reddy of Nokomis, Fla.; and two brothers, Johnny Gerald Box of Paducah, Ky. and Richard Allen Box of Weaver.

Mrs. Balkin was a native of Alabama and lived most of her life in Memphis, Tenn. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Memphis and was retired from the Postal Service. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Coleman Sarah Mintz, and Gene Mitchell, and two brothers, James Lamar Box and William Harmon Box. Mrs. Balkin spent the last nine years with her niece, Susan Hanson.

Services for Ruth Brooks, 80, of Ashland will be 2:30 p.m. today at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland, with Revs. Bruce Willis and Ben Rosser officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home until the service.

Mrs. Brooks died Friday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Helen Brooks; several nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Mrs. Brooks was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Hospice of Clay County.

Services for Sue Williams Coheley, 55, of Anniston, will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont with Chaplain Jim Wilson, William Kughn and the Rev. Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Coheley died Friday at her home.

Survivors include a daughter, Julia Coheley of Anniston; a sister, Martha Boshell of Weaver; a brother, Roy Williams Jr. of Borden Springs; several nieces and nephews, and a beloved companion, Doxie.

Pallbearers will be Robby Williams, Paul Williams, Danny Boshell, Richard Pollard, Todd Ford, David Braggs, Jim Degner and Billy Fagan.

Mrs. Coheley was a Cleburne County native and had lived in Anniston 30 years. She retired from Fort McClellan as an executive secretary to the Chief of Chaplains. She was a member of Colvin Street Church of Christ; a member of the Merry Belles singing group; a volunteer for the chaplain services at Regional Medical Center; and a student at Gadsden State Community College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary G. Coheley, and her parents, Roy and Ruth Williams.

Graveside services for Robineal McEachern Howard, 78, of Sylacauga will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Marble City Cemetery, with Dr. Bill Dean officiating and Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel in charge.

Mrs. Howard died Saturday at Talladega Health Care.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ola Howard Barden of Sylacauga and a granddaughter, Cassandra Michelle Barden of Sylacauga.

Mrs. Howard grew up in Talladega, married in 1942 and moved to Sylacauga. She worked in the front office at Sylacauga Hospital from 1960 to 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lydia Class. She was active in the Jayceettes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gover Howard.

Services for Harvester O'Dell "Hobo" Keith, 66, of Jacksonville will be Monday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Bagley officiating. Burial will be at Jacksonville City Cemetery with Ervin Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Keith died Wednesday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Service.

Survivors include three sons, Rodney and Scotty Parker, both of Columbia, S.C., and John Woodruff of the U.S. Army; four sisters, Lillie Tyus of Damascus, Ark., Catherine Williams of Detroit, and Josephine Monroe and Eva Carpenter, both of Jacksonville; and three brothers, George A. Keith of Detroit and Mi and James E. Keith of Jacksonville.

Pallbearers will be the men of New Hope Baptist Church.

Services for Jimmy Wayne Kelley Jr., 32, of Ranburne, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Stewart and Bob Cole officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery, with Dryden Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends at today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelley died Friday at his residence.

Survivors include his mother, Myra Kelley of Newell; his father and stepmother, Jimmy and Carolyn Kelley of Ranburne; his ex-wife, Elicia Kelley; a son, Jake Kelley; a daughter, Jessica Kelley; and a brother, Bret Kelley, all of Ranburne. Other survivors include his grandmothers, Ethel Kelley of Bowdon, Ga. and Louise Lovvorn of Newell; a step-daughter, Stephanie Chambers; and a special friend, Donna Benefield of Wedowee.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Butler, Derrick Davis, David Hewitt, Cliff Langley, Scott McCormick and Lance Merrill.

Mr. Kelley was a native of Bowdon had lived most of his life in Ranburne. He was a graduate of Randolph County High School and was employed as a carpenter.
