Hunt

Services for Lois E. Hunt, 65, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

Mrs. Hunt died Saturday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Johnson

JACKSONVILLE

Services for Michael Lynn Johnson, 51, of Jacksonville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Williams with Rev. Mike Oliver and Terry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Seven Springs Cemetery with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Johnson died Friday at Baptist Medical Center Montclair.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Johnson of Jacksonville; his mother, Louise Potts of Jacksonville; a daughter, Kellilyn Johnson Sechrest and her husband Tim Sechrest of Elizabethtown, N.C.; a son, Jason Johnson and his wife Sherry Johnson of Anniston; a sister, Jane Gowens of Alexandria; two brothers, Hearel Johnson of Lenoir City, Tenn., and the Rev. Terry Johnson of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Jake and Kate Johnson and Jordan Riggan; and a niece.

Pallbearers will be John Curry, Doyle Green, Steve Green, Lendon Bonds, Dennis Noah, Charles Casey, Rory Prickett and Barry Tillison.

Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County and a member of First Baptist Church of Williams. He retired from Five Star Foods as a route supervisor after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Johnson, and his stepfather, Joseph M. Potts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church of Williams Building Fund, 5579 Nisbet Lake Road, Jacksonville, AL 36265.

Leftwich

WEAVER

Graveside services for Robert Lee Leftwich, 72, of Weaver will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Anniston Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Trevor Mustoe officiating and Anniston Memorial Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Leftwich died Saturday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Joy Leftwich of Weaver; four sons, Jim Leftwich and his wife, Cindy Leftwich of Conroe, Texas, Ray Leftwich of Weaver, Robert Leftwich and his wife, Debbie Leftwich of Alexandria, and Robert (O.B.) Leftwich of Weaver; a daughter, Patricia Mustoe and her husband, Trevor Mustoe, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Leftwich was a Baptist and served in the Air Force.

Services for Maude S. Newman, 90, of Anniston will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Revs. Tommy Reaves and Ralph Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.

Mrs. Newman died Friday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical center.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Haynes and Jimmie Carter, both of Ohatchee; six grandchildren, Perry Haynes, Barry Carter, Greg Haynes, Leigh Ann Reaves, Brian Reaves and Scott Carter; eight great-grandchildren, and two nieces.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Haynes, David Haynes, Barry Carter, Scott Carter, Brian Reaves and Perry Haynes.

Mrs. Newman was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a member of Noble Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis E. Newman, and a daughter, Judy Reaves.

Pruett

CENTRE

Services for Billie Pruett, 86, of Centre will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Leon Smith and Ted Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Pruett died Saturday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Cathryn Johnson Pruett of Centre; three daughters, Cathryn Jordan of Centre, Betty Grace of Cedar Bluff, and Linda Brown and her husband, Carl Brown, of Centre; two sons, Johnny Pruett and his wife, Sandra Pruett, and Billy Joe Pruett and his wife Pat Pruett, all of Centre; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Tom Compton, Ralph Bishop Jr., T.C. Cochran, Terry Pruett, Marion Baswell, John Carl Whorton and J.W. Lockridge.

Mr. Pruett was a native of Cherokee County and a member of Calcedonia Baptist Church. He was retired from Va-Do Fabrics and was the son of the late F.P. (Tab) and Mollie Lasseter Pruett. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Pruett.

Roberts

Services for Mabel Harding Roberts, 98, of Anniston will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Parker Memorial Baptist Chapel with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Entombment will be in Forestlawn Gardens Mausoleum with Brown & Kughn Memory Chapel in charge. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service in the Fireside Room of Parker Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Roberts died Thursday in Anniston.

Survivors include a daughter, Gail Sheffield of Anniston; two sisters, Clara Scarborough of Huntsville, Texas and Eula Bridges of Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Bronwen Sheffield, Scott Sheffield, Michael Sheffield and Julie Wilson; seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a caregiver, Betty Ashley of Oxford.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sheffield, Scott Sheffield, Bryan Sheffield, Tony Sheffield, James Wilson and Bill Hodges.

Mrs. Roberts was a native of Huntsville, Texas, where she lived most of her life. She had lived in Anniston since 1989. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church and the Nackie Jarels Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Roberts, a sister, and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Ave., Anniston, AL 36201.

ROMULUS, Mich.

Services for Jesse Rowe, Jr., 62, of Romulus will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive Methodist Church in Wadley with Rev. Hollis Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday after 10 a.m. at Clark Memorial Funeral Service in Roanoke. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services.

Mr. Rowe died Wednesday at his home.

Survivors include a special sister, Wanda Marie Rowe of Austell, Ga.; two brothers, John Henry Rowe and his wife, Moline Rowe, of Daviston, and Mark Rowe and his wife, Angelia Rowe of Wedowee; a sister, Eddie Lee Morgan and her husband Raymond Morgan of Atlanta; a brother-in-law, Bennie Reese of Wadley; an uncle, Kalor Higgins of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two aunts, Ethel Higgins of Chatanooga and Eldora Rowe of Fort Pierce, Fla.; a great-aunt, Mae Higgins of LaFayette; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Mr. Rowe was born in Wadley in Randolph County. He migrated to Romulus, Mich., where he was a custodian for the Romulus City School System until his retirement. He is preceded in death by a brother Robert Rowe and two sisters, Jessie Mae Reese and Hazel Naomi Rowe.

CENTRE

Services for Charles Wayne Russell, 58, of Cherokee County Road 26, Centre, will be today at 11 a.m. at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Wayne Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens.

Mr. Russell died Saturday at Cherokee Baptist Medical Center.

Survivors include a son, Brad Russell and his wife Lisa of Leesburg; a grandson, Riley Russell; his parents, C.B. and Annie Lou Wood Russell of Centre; seven sisters, Dorothy McKnown and Betty Smith, both of Snellville, Ga., Louise Law, Joyce Cothran and Clara McKinny, all of Centre, Gwen Cash of Summerville, Ga., and Nilmarg Smart of Piedmont; five brothers, Bobby Russell, Norman Russell and Clarence Russell, all of Centre, and Wilburne Russell and Billy Russell, both of Piedmont; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Russell, Tim Smith, Keith Smart, Jamie Russell, Craig Russell, Larry Russell, Bobby McKinny and Jimmy McKinny. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad.

Mr. Russell was a native of Cherokee County and a lifetime member of the Cherokee County Rescue Squad. He worked at So-Sew Styles for 33 years and was employed at American Apparel at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethelene Blair.

Flowers may be sent, or memorials may be made to the Cherokee County Rescue Squad.
