TRUSSVILLE — Funeral service for C.L. (Bud) Allison, 83, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Allison died April 16. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee Allison; daughter, Linda J. Brown; and a son, LeRoy Allison.
He is survived by one sister, Essie Mae McLaughlin; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

JENNIE LYNN MAY ALLRED
LINCOLN — Funeral service for Jennie Lynn May Allred, 86, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lincoln United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Napp officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Mrs. Allred died April 17. She was a native of Prattville and lived in Lincoln most of her life. She was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church, a member of Eureka Homemakers Club and was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by five daughters, Mildred Glidewell of Lincoln, Emma Bell of Southside, Virginia Parker of Anniston, Nancy Hinkle of Oxford and Dorothy Wright of Lincoln; five sons, Charlie Allred of Springville, Clyde (Andy) Allred of Lincoln, Francis Allred of Prattville, John Allred of Lincoln and David Allred of Lincoln; three sisters, Emma Jean Cross of Prattville, Nettie Ruth Pardue of Repton and Aline Hooper of Montgomery; one brother, William Joseph May of Prattville; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and caregivers, Sherry Morales and Dana Fain.
Pallbearers will be Chad Martin, Jonathan Allred, Jim Bob Reaves, Patrick Porteous, Larry Daniel, Kyle Glover, Randles Smith, Greg Mitchell, Daniel Morris and Jimmy Whitmore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincoln United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 176, Lincoln, Ala., 35096.

STERRETT — Funeral service for R.E. Brasher, 76, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Russell Gooden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brasher died April 18. He was a lifelong resident of Sterrett, was retired from Stockham Valve and Fittings with 34 years of service and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jeremiah Cody Brasher.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Brasher; two sons, Jimmy Earl Brasher of Alpine and Gordon Mark Brasher of Vincent; two daughters, Shannon Lea Burrell of Sterrett and Laurel Dee Pate of Childersburg; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;and three sisters, Ozell Johnson of Cook Springs, Claudine Weldon of Sterrett and Geraldine McGuire of Sterrett.
The body may be viewed from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Josh Brasher, Seth Brasher, Zeb Brasher, Luke Burrell, Zeke Pate and Adam Tompkins.

BIRMINGHAM — Funeral service for Martha L. Farrell, 67, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Newland officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery
Mrs. Farrell died April 17. She was formerly from Sylacauga, was a member of Bold Springs Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Vick and sister, Georgia Ford.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Farrell; daughter, Cheri Adams; one grandson; and one brother, Ray Berryman.
Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 3125 Independence Drive, Homewood.

MYRTLE RUTH SCHUETZLE
PELL CITY — Graveside service for Myrtle Ruth Schuetzle, 82, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery
with the Rev. R.D. Norred officiating.
Mrs. Schuetzle died April 16 at her residence.
She is survived by one son, William Ray Gautney of Waterloo, Iowa; sister, Beatrice Gorforth of Orange, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

RUTH BURKS THOMPSON
RAGLAND — Funeral service for Ruth Burks Thompson, 74, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Usrey-Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Pell City with the Rev. Mike Brinkman officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery
Mrs. Thompson died April 17 in Pell City. She was a native of Binghamton, N.Y., lived in Cullman County most of her life and moved to Ragland in 1991. She was a member of Ragland United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Burks.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Thompson of Ragland; son, Bill Burks of Ragland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Zach Burks, Ross Burks, David Burks, Johnny Phillips, Cecil Brown and Otis Boswell.

TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Quinton Kelly, 21, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Faith Temple Ministries with Pastor Bobby J. Welch officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pilgrim Church Cemetery.
Mr. Kelly died May 23 in Talladega. He was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, where he was a member of the youth choir and the Crusaders. He was a 2000 graduate of Talladega High School and a student at Virginia Technical College. He was employed by McDonald's.
He is survived by his mother, Nelda (Carey) Kelly of Talladega; his father, Ravon Duncan of Talladega; sisters, Nakia Kelly, Taneshia Kelly and Princess Jackson of Talladega; brother, Cornelius Kelly of Talladega; son, Quintravious De'Ante Kelly of Talladega; grandmothers, Josie Kelly and Everlina Richey of Talladega; fiance', D'Andria Shell of Birmingham; and a host of other relatives.

TERRANCE LAMAR SHEARS
TALLADEGA — Funeral service for Terrance Lamar Shears, 21, of 72 Honeysuckle Lane, will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Faith Temple Ministries with the Rev. Bobby J. Welch officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pilgrim Church Cemetery.
Mr. Shears died May 23 in Talladega. He was a 2001 graduate of Talladega High School and was formerly employed by Church's Chicken and Allen Architectural Metals. At the time of his death, he was employed by MasterBrand Cabinets (NHB), was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, sang in the youth choir and was a member of the Crusaders Ministry.
He is survived by his parents, Jane E. Shears of Talladega and Waylon D. Dickerson of Talladega; sisters, Shandreka D. Shears and LaKeva Q. Shears of Talladega; brothers, Cameron D. Shears and D'Carlos Hall of Talladega; and his grandmother, Bertha Chatman.
The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.
Pallbearers will be Nacobie Barclay, Sean Bolden, Flemming Chatman, Kelvin Chatman, Terrance Hartley, Daryl Richardson, Quintavius Garrett and Todd Cunningham.

LILLIAN TRUITT DORSETT
ODENVILLE — Funeral service for Lillian Truitt Dorsett, 92, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Liberty Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.
Mrs. Dorsett died May 26.
She is survived by daughters, Lea Dorsett Wiler and Betty Jean Dorsett Watson; sisters, Marie Waites and Pat Lowery; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Surrounded by family, Kathleen Helms died peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Born in Hanceville, Alabama, Kathleen married her sweetheart Orris J. Helms. The two celebrated their 66th anniversary together this year.
From the farm to the big city of Birmingham, Kathleen devoted her life to raising their two sons, Gary and Ron, while Orris earned a living at American Cast Iron Pipe Company. During their long life together, Kathleen and Orris traveled extensively, visiting Europe and camping their way across the United States. After his retirement from ACIPCO, Kathleen and Orris moved from their retirement home in Palmerdale to Pell City in 1995. Since moving to Pell City to be closer to family, Kathleen and Orris have enjoyed each other, their two children, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Both are members of the First Baptist Church of Pell City.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Orris J. Helms; sons, Orris G. (Reba) Helms of Madison and Ronald W. (JoAnn) Helms Sr. of Pell City; grandchildren, Russell Helms, Dr. Rock Helms and Shannon Helms; great-grandchildren, Trey Helms, Meredith Helms, Emma Helms, Lucy Helms and Cora Helms.
From a family of eight children, Kathleen's surviving brothers and sisters are Thelbert Bland of Hanceville, Dean Meeks of Fultondale, Frances Lee of Hanceville, Dot Devine of Decatur and Don Bland of Birmingham.
We will miss her very much.
Services will be Thursday, May 29, 2003, 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City with Burial at Bethlehem East Cemetery
in Hanceville at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. John Thweatt will officiate.
