Services for Jennifer Delane Whited, 34, of Talladega will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Revs. Mike Stonbraker and Brian Camp officiating. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whited died Tuesday.

Survivors include her husband, Randy D. Whited of Talladega; a daughter, Tara Jennings of Talladega; a stepdaughter, Felisha Dawn Whited of Waco, Texas; a son, Glenn Jennings of Talladega; a stepson, Randall Steven Whited of Waco; her mother, Joyce W. Johnston of Talladega; her father, Wayne Johnston of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Kristi Adkins of Lincoln; and her grandmothers, Jeannette White of Talladega and Myrtie Johnston of Jacksonville.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Smith, Ray Brewer, Shawn Wolf, David Jackson, Eric Jackson, Shaun Jackson, Don Jackson and Timothy Whited. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Whited and Rickey Whited.

Mrs. Whited was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was employed by ITC Deltacom. She was a 1985 graduate of Talladega High School. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Johnston, and a brother, Jarred Johnston.

Graveside services for Morgan Bryant, 67, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at White’s Gap Cemetery with Rev. Billy Arnett officiating and K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge.

Mr. Bryant died Wednesday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Bradley Bryant of Jacksonville; a daughter, Angie Bryant of Jacksonville; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Billy Bryant, Victor and Brenda Bryant, Joey and Karen Bryant and Paul and Bethe Bryant all of Jacksonville and Jonathon and Stacy Bryant of Piedmont; a sister, Lovella Worrell of Anniston; a brother, Rudolph Bryant of Scottsboro; seven grandchildren, Jill Merithew, Cristis Schwbee, Staci Freeman, Amanda Bryant, Cody Bryant, Lesley Bryant and Corey Bryant; a great-grandchild, Kelsey Merithew; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Billy Bryant, Victor Bryant, Joey Bryant, Jonathon Bryant, Paul Bryant and David Hill.

Mr. Bryant was a native of Heflin and was the caretaker of his nephew, Robert Cochran. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, William Lee Bryant; his mother, Cora Bell Bryant; a daughter, Brenda Sue Bryant; a sister, Dossie Lee Mintz; and a brother, Tommy Bryant.

Services for Cicely Cunningham, 78, of Pell City will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Rushing Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Woodward officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Pell City with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mrs. Cunningham died Monday at Citizens Baptist Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Ollie Mae Threatt and Mollie O’Neal, both of Pell City; a son, Edward Cunningham of Cleveland, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Earlie Threatt III, Greg Threatt, Shawndal Henderson, Billy Dark, Cortez O’Neal, Cory O’Neal, Johnny Jones and Willie Henderson.

Services for William Hines Gillespie, 77, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville with Revs. Bert Breland and Fred Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in charge. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Gillespie died Thursday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gillespie of Jacksonville; two daughters and their husbands, Cynthia and Billy Baker of Piedmont and Tina and Robert Auchenpaughn of Powder Springs, Ga.; two sons and their wives, Charles and Diane Gillespie of Meridian, Miss. and Paul and Sandy Gillespie of Centreville, Va.; a sister and her husband, Freida and Pete Bybee of Brevard, N.C.; a brother and his wife, Eugene and Marian Gillespie of Greenville, S.C.; a brother-in-law, Dr. George Willis of New Orleans; seven grandchildren, Ann Motes, Amy Daker, Anna Auchenpaughn, Alyssa Auchenpaughn, Mary Gillespie, Lauren Gillespie and Stephanie Whitten; two great-grandchildren, Brady Motes and Brock Baker; and five nieces and five nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Vanderford, Ed Davis, Bill Blout, Bill McPherson, James Brown, Marion Rollins, Arvid Padgett and Tom Padgett.

Mr. Gillespie was a native of South Carolina and had lived in Jacksonville 39 years. He was a former board member at Jacksonville Hospital and a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the Austin Sunday School Class. He was active with Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center and was an World War II Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Gillespie; his parents, Bryant Eugene Gillespie and Clara Hines Gillespie; and a sister, Evelyn Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.

Services for Nellie George Hardy, 85, of Jacksonville will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory with Revs. Mike Drummond and James Grace officiating. Burial will be in Chosea Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hardy died Wednesday at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include a son, Richard E. Hardy of Jacksonville; a sister and her husband, Annie and Carry Parris of Jacksonville; a brother and his wife, Dewey and Dean Lowman of Albertville; four grandchildren, Timothy Hardy, Steven Hardy, Michael Hardy and Debra Hardy; six great-grandchildren and 15 nieces and 11 nephews.

Pallbearers will be Greg Robinson, Drew Myers, Ben Myers, Ozack Walker, Chris Johnson and Timothy Jones.

Mrs. Hardy had lived in Calhoun County and was of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey A. Hardy; four brothers, Horace Lowman, A.W. Lowman, Junior Lowman and William Lowman; and a sister, Bonnie Jones.

Services for Charles W. Harrell, 55, of Ohatchee will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Glencoe with Rev. Danny Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home in Gadsden.

Mr. Harrell died Thursday.

Survivors include his mother, Trixie L. Harrell; five daughters three sons-in-law, Jana Harrell and Cari Harrell, both of Ohatchee, Leah and Andy Burgess of Jacksonville, Lana and Kiowa Grant and Carmen and Brian Wagnon, all of Southside; two sons and a daughter-in-law Jonathan and Brandy Harrell of Southside and Shane Harrell of Ohatchee; three brothers and their wives, Marlin and Paula Harrell and Joe and Carmen Harrell, all of Ohatchee and Mike and Delores Harrell of Glencoe; three sisters and their husbands, Rita H. and Jim Parris of Jacksonville, Vicki and Rick Formby of Glencoe and Kathy and Bryan Hammonds of Ohatchee; five grandchildren, Erin Wagnon, Daniel Wagnon, Dalton Grant, Garrett Grant and Erin Harrell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Carlton McCombs, Glenn Pruitt, Jerry Pitts, Chris Wood, Dean Paul Harrell, Gene Lee, Skip Snelling and Craig Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will be James Morris, Larry McCombs, Gary Taylor, Rejetta Wade, Rev. and Mrs. Howard Shell, Steve Bratcher, Scott Collins, NEARMC 6th floor ICU and Drs. William Ferguson, Wendy Davidson and George Zorn.

Mr. Harrell was a 1965 graduate of Ohatchee High School and a 1969 graduate of Auburn University. He was retired from Jacksonville High School, where he taught vocational agriculture, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis Harrell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Northeast Alabama or the American Lung Association.

Graveside services for William “Bill” E. Hopper Sr., 73, of Anniston will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Rev. Tom Bell officiating and Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive friends 5-8 tonight at the funeral home in Trussville.

Mr. Hopper died Wednesday.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred M. Hopper of Anniston; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janie Hopper Pontero of Anniston and Connie Hopper Brown and Wade Brown of Trussville; a son and his wife, William E. Hopper Jr. and Kathy Hopper of Anniston; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ida and Beric Dawes of Chelmsford, Mass. and Jean Cole of Centerville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, M.D. and Sarah Hopper of Alabaster and James D. Hopper of Chapel Hill, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Hopper was retired from South Central Bell after 37 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Anniston. He was a 21-year Marine Corps veteran with service in the Korean War. He retired as a sergeant major.

Mr. Locy died Wednesday at Baptist Medical Center in Cumming, Ga.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Locy of Lincoln; a daughter, Hannah Melanie Jewell Locy of Lincoln; his parents, William and Lola Locy of Kimberly; his grandmothers, Florena Wessel of Sikeston, Mo., and Lola Pugsley of Kimberly; his mother-in-law, Brenda Paul of Lincoln; his father-in-law, Tommy Smith of Ashland; five sisters, Billie King and Charlotte Locy, both of Kimberly, Rita Cruz and Michelle Locy, both of Leeds and Crystal Locy of Gardendale; a brother, Joshua Locy of Gardendale; and three nieces and three nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joshue Lee Locy, William Locy, Tony Atkins, Gene Hood, Chad Sharpe and Roger Watts.

Mr. Locy was a native of Pueblo, Colo., and was employed by Asplundh Tree Service.
