Dozier

FORT WAYNE, Ind.

Services for Velma Dozier of Fort Wayne, formerly of Roanoke, will be announced by Silmon and Son Funeral Services in Roanoke.

Mrs. Dozier died Thursday.

Frisbie

TALLADEGA

Services for Carl Eugene Frisbie, 73, of Talladega will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Revs. Donnie Meherg and Kenneth Upchurch officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Frisbie died Wednesday at his home.

Survivors include four daughters, Rebecca Bennett of Greenville, Ohio, Carol Hubbel of Talladega, Debra Reyes of California and Mary Ycaza of Oregon; a son, Christopher Frisbie Jr. of Oregon; four stepsons, Dennis Ray Goodwin of Munford, David Wayne Goodwin of Pell City and Curtis Goodwin and Ricky Goodwin, both of Talladega; two stepdaughters, Alice Davis of Lamar, Ark. and Jo Ann Mousseau of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mary Early of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a brother, Earl Frisbie of Pleasant Valley, Ohio; a niece and nephew, Dave and Sue Echols; 37 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Morrow, Peter Horn, Bart Maddox, Dennis Goodwin Jr., Christopher Goodwin, Michael Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin and Daniel Smith.

Mr. Frisbie was a native of Good Hope, Ohio, and had lived in Talladega since 1976. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran and was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a member and deacon of Living Water Congregational Holiness Church in Childersburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Living Water Congregational Holiness Church in Childersburg.

Goodwin

Mr. Goodwin died Wednesday at his home.

Survivors include five sons, Kevin Goodwin of Mississippi, Jimmy Goodwin of Arkansas and Josh Goodwin, Nicholas Goodwin and Jeffrey Goodwin, all of Talladega; his father, James L. Goodwin of Mexico; two sisters, Alice Davis of Lamar, Ark. and Jo Ann Mousseau of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four brothers, Dennis Ray Goodwin of Munford, David Wayne Goodwin of Pell City and Curtis Goodwin and Ricky Goodwin, both of Talladega; four stepsisters, Rebecca Bennett of Greenville, Ohio, Carol Hubbel of Talladega, Debra Reyes of California and Mary Ycaza of Oregon; and a stepbrother, Christopher Frisbie Jr. of Oregon.

Pallbearers will be Mark Morrow, Peter Horn, Bart Maddox, Dennis Goodwin Jr., Christopher Goodwin, Michael Goodwin, Matthew Goodwin, Thomas Goodwin and Daniel Smith.

Mr. Goodwin was a native of Indiana and had lived in Talladega since 1977. He had been a general laborer in the mobile home moving industry.

Judah

SALEM

Services for Hazel E. Norton Judah, 66, of Salem will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus, Ga. Burial will be in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Judah died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth L. Chapman of Oxford; her husband, Coy Judah of Salem; two daughters, Teresa Green of Warner Robins, Ga. and Sheila Wilde of Savannah, Ga.; two sons, Terry Lackey of Anniston and Ricky Lackey of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Howard Norton of Anniston; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Judah was born in Lee County and was a former resident of Anniston. She retired as a licensed practical nurse from St. Frances Hospital after 27 years of service. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Norton.

Martin

PIEDMONT

Services for Donna Faye Martin, 46, of Piedmont will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Mickelsen-McGee Brown-Service Funeral Home with Franklin McGee and Rev. Clark Smart officiating. Burial will be in Hanks Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martin died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, James “Jim” Martin of Piedmont; a son, Jamie Martin of Piedmont; two daughters and their husbands, Alta and Aaron Studdard and Brenda and Alton Rowland, all of Piedmont; her mother, Alta Faye Lockridge of Piedmont; a brother, Jackie Lockridge of Piedmont; a sister and her husband, Kelly and Kenneth Easterwood of Rome, Ga.; and a grandchild, Robert Martin.

Pallbearers will be Greg Cantrell, David Cameron, Dennis Rainey, Charles Coheley, David VanOstrand, Robert Thompson, Ricky Farmer, Jason Farmer and Gary Rainey.

Mrs. Martin was a native and lifelong resident of Piedmont. She had attended Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Bo Moore, and stepfather, Jack Lockridge.

Nott

GOLDEN SPRINGS

Services for G. Ronald Nott, 68, of Golden Springs will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home with Robert Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Nott died Thursday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Inus Young Nott; a special friend, Dawn Ann Baker; a brother, Lester Nott of Northport, Fla.; a sister, Beverly Gray of Foster, R.I.; and five nephews and six nieces.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Mr. Nott was a former resident of Pennsylvania and had lived in Anniston eight years.

Archer

KENNESAW, Ga.

Graveside services for Flora Ellis “Babe” Archer, 82, of Kennesaw, Ga., formerly of Cedar Bluff, will be today at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Robert Smith officiating and Perry Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Archer died Saturday in Kennestone Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy McCollum of Kennesaw; two grandsons and their wives, Jeffery and Barbara McCollum and Christopher and Sandra McCollum; and four great-grandchildren, Coby McCollum, Spencer McCollum, Jackie McCollum and Drew McCollum.

Mrs. Archer was a native of Cherokee County and a member of the Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Archer and her parents, Weldon and Lena Formby Ellis.

Crane

LEESBURG

Services for Priscilla Jane Parker Crane, 44, of Leesburg will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home with Revs. John Allen and James Rainey officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Crane died Sunday in a Gadsden hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Billy E. Crane Jr.; a son and his wife, Jeremy and Kacey Crane of Sand Rock; a daughter, Erica Crane of Leesburg and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mrs. Crane was a native of DeKalb County. She was a secretary for Alfa Insurance Company and attended East Centre Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Bonnie Ruth Pierce Parker.

TALLADEGA

Services for Hettie C. Hodge, 79, of Talladega will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bemiston Baptist Church with Rev. John Whetstone officiating. Burial will follow in Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at Usrey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hodge died Sunday at her residence.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Glenda and Bill Goldman of Birmingham; two sons and their wives, Gene and Dottie Hodge of Talladega and Randy and Susan Hodge of Waynesboro, Miss.; a sister, Myrtle Kent of Cragford; three brothers, Price Nunn of Cragford, G.C. Nunn of Talladega and Owen Nunn of Prattville; five grandchildren, Kevin Hodge, Valerie Hodge, LeAnn Hodge, Sarah Goldman and Emily Golden; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Stewart, Bob Nunn, Larry Neville, Ronnie Darden, Beaver Tinsley and Billy Klinner.

Mrs. Hodge was a native of Clay County and had lived in Talladega County for most of her life and was a member of Bemiston Baptist Church. She was retired from Bemis Co., Inc. after nearly 40 years and had also worked for the Talladega Forestry Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Bernard Hodge.

Memorials can be made to Bemiston Baptist Church, James Circle, Talladega, AL 35160.
