Houston

Service for Dorothy Houston, 76, of Anniston will be announced by Ervin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Houston died Saturday at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Service for Sylvester Jemison, 68, of Anniston will be announced by Anniston Funeral Service.

Mr. Jemison died Saturday at National Health Care.

Pike

ROANOKE

Service for Mae C. Pike, 90, of Roanoke will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Clifford DeLee, A.W. Kent and Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Community Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pike died Sunday at her residence.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mimie and Mike Waldrep of Wadley and Clara and Carroll Royster of Roanoke; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betty Hogan and Lewis and Hulda Pike, all of Five Points, and Willie and Vicki Pike of Lanett; one sister, Geneva Long of Roanoke; 23 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Pike, Benny Pike, Ricky Pike, Sloane Pike, Tommy Pike, Charles Waldrep and Gerald Hogan.

Mrs. Pike was a native of Clay County and long-time resident of Five Points. She was a homemaker and a member of Standing Rock Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Pike and her parents, Oscar and Etta Jones Camp.

Ray

OXFORD

Services for Judy Carol Ray, 49, of Oxford will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Oxford with Rev. Ralph Barrow officiating with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home in Charge. Burial will be at Nesmith United Methodist Church in Nesmith. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Mrs. Ray died Saturday at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Darryal Wayne Ray of Oxford; a son, Jonathan Allen Ray of Birmingham; two daughters, Crosbie Rana Songer of San Antonio and Allison Nicole Ray of Oxford; her mother, Hazel Ruth Cagle of Haleyville; three sisters, Jean Boucher of Ingleside, Ill., Betty Barnett of Haleyville, and Kathy Harbin of Hamilton; three brothers, Ronnie Cagle, Donnie Cagle and Michael Cagle, all of Haleyville; and Caitlin Marie Phillips, Christian Harrison Phillips and Jacob Dawson Songer.

Pallbearers will be Tony Morris, Mike Shipley, Chris Abernathy, Marty Robbins, Gary Pinkard and Randal Ray.

Mrs. Ray was a native of Double Springs where she attended Winston County High School. She was employed by Salon Chateau as a hair stylist. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oxford. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Cagle and two sisters, Linda Snell and Faye Lovett.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First United Methodist Church of Oxford or Nesmith United Methodist Church.

Rayburn

EASLEY, S.C.

Graveside services for John Billie “J.B.” Rayburn, 89, of Easley, will be today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Easley with Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest in charge.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jimmy Eller of Easley; a son and daughter-in-law, James Gerald and Carma Rayburn of Fayette; a sister, Florence Guerette of California; five grandchildren, Leslie M. Cisson, Bill Mount, Rick Mount, J. Scott Rayburn, Seth D. Rayburn; five great-grandchildren, Jackie Winters, Crystal Mount, Dusti Mount, Cory Mount and Hayden Cisson.

Mrs. Rayburn was a native of Calhoun County and a Baptist. She was a textile worker and homemaker. Mrs. Rayburn was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Rayburn; her parents, John and Fannie Chitwood Wagnon; and two sisters, Viola Hicks and Lillie Ingram.

Williams

SYLACAUGA

Services for James Ronald Williams, 44, of Sylacauga will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Clay County Funeral Home chapel with Revs. Ben Rosser and Keith Pugh officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Janice S. Williams of Sylacauga; a daughter and her husband, Sandy Williams and Clint Martin of Daphne; two sons, James Ronald Williams Jr. and Patrick Lowell Williams, both of Sylacauga; his parents, James Lowell Williams and Louise Williams of Ashland; two sisters, Ellen Drummond of Johnson City, Tenn. and Marsha Hunter of Birmingham; a brother, Wendell Williams of San Francisco; and one grandson, Parker Martin.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ponder, Billy Browning, Arthur Hitt, Bob Luker, Rusty Mattox, Henry Durrough, Keith McCollum, Rufus Poole and Warren Burkhead. Honorary pallbearers will be, Rickie Little, Alan Fulbright, Mark Fulbright, Jim Hunter, Richard Drummond, Randall Calloway, Greg Roberts, Steve Roberts, Roger Roberts, Mike Masters, Ronald Mattox, Felton McCollum, Franklin Horn, Barron Jackson, Frankie Upchurch, Tony Tomlin, Jim Stewart, David Stewart, Davey Ponder, Leonard Danner, Donald Harris and Dwight Harris.

Mr. Williams was a native of Clay County. He received both a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science and a master’s in Agronomy from Auburn University. He had been employed with the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service for 23 years, serving in both Butler and Cleburne counties and most recently, Talladega County. He was a member of the Alabama Agriculture Association, active in the 4-H club, director of the Master Gardeners of Talladega County and wrote a weekly column for the Cooperative Extension Service that appeared in The Talladega Daily Home and also had been a member of Kiwanis Club. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Ashland.

Graveside services for infant Noah Ray Austin of Choccolocco will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Choccolocco with Rev. Noel Dear officiating and Miller Funeral Home in charge.

The infant died Wednesday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his father, Craig Myer of Oxford; his mother, Denecia Austin of Choccolocco; and his grandparents, Dennis and Brenda Austin of Choccolocco.

Barker

HEFLIN

Services for Martha Gail Barker, 55, of Heflin were April 25 at Miller Funeral Home in Tallapoosa, Ga. Revs. David Swafford, Homer Hulsey and Hank Darnell officiated. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery in Tallapoosa.

Mrs. Barker died April 22.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Charles Brooks of Heflin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John D. and Michelle Brown of Ranburne and Michael Brown of Heflin; her mother, Nola Stewart Rust of Gadsden; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Wayne Rust of California, Jerry and Linda Rust of Anniston and Kenneth and Carol Rust of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister and her husband, Brenda and Ron Lofty of North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Sherry Rust of California; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Frank Hollis, Greg May, Chris Smith, Randy Bentley, Millard Martin and Travis Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Taylor, Homer Wysner and Harold Hulsey.

Mrs. Barker was born in DeKalb County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Desoto Franklin Barker; her father, Herman William Rust; and a brother, Billy Rust.

Fleming

HEFLIN

Services for Roy Hewlett Fleming, 69, of Heflin will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Snow officiating. Burial will be in Heflin City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Fleming died Wednesday at Riverview Hospital.

Survivors include eight sons, Donald Fleming, Stephen Fleming, Anthony K. Fleming and Stephen V. Fleming, all of Heflin, Timmons A. Fleming of Navarre Beach, Fla., Laren V. Fleming of The Netherlands and Stacy D. Fleming and John A. Daniels, both of Montgomery; a sister, Evelyn Currie of Anniston; a brother, Willie F. Fleming of Oxford; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Feazell, Glen Thompson, Kenneth Smith, Bradley Smith, Gary Cheatwood and Arlin Kerr.

Mr. Fleming was a native of Calhoun County and had lived in Cleburne County most of his life. He was a member of Edgewood Methodist Church and was a Navy veteran.
