Services for Gus Ray Lee, 53, of Anniston will be announced by Gray Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory.

Mr. Lee died Sunday at Regional Medical Center.

Ayers

LYERLY, Ga.

Services for Raymond Virgil Ayers, 61, of Lyerly, formerly of Centre, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Perry Funeral Home in Centre with Revs. T.A. Benefield and Henry Storey officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Ayers died Monday at his home.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Raymond Virgil “Ray” Ayers Jr. of Centre, Paul and Rhonda Ayers of Brantley and Tim and Rhonda Ayers of Rome, Ga.; six brothers and their wives, Jimmy and Faye Ayers, Don and Shelby Ayers and Johnny Ayers, all of Centre, Robert A. and Sis Ayers of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Jackie and Sandra Ayers of Albertville and Kenny and GeorgeAnn Ayers of Cedar Bluff; five sisters and their husbands, Virginia Ann and Lewis Armstrong of Centre, Jannie and Franklin Lewis and Sheila and Rodney Clines, all of Gaylesville, Debra and Michael Wigley of Deltona, Fla. and Shann and Ronnie Duncan of Fort Payne; and three grandchildren, Koby Timms, Railey Ayers and Garvin Ayers.

Mr. Ayers was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Loyd and Ruby Edna Conner Ayers. He was a member of Melrose Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ayers, and a sister, Joan Wilkie.

Blake

ROANOKE

Services for Katie Ruth Terrell Blake, 82, of Roanoke will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Wadley with Revs. Hollis Boykin and R.L. Heflin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clark Memorial Funeral Service in charge. The family will receive friends Thursday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Blake died Saturday at LaFayette Extended Care in LaFayette.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Ruby M. Terrell of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Janice Terrell and Gary Benard Terrell; and five great-grandchildren.

Ms. Blake was born in Chambers County and was the daughter of the late Henry and Nora Bryant Terrell. She was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Wadley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Blake; a son, James Henry Terrell; and a grandchild, Chandra Terrell.

Services for Dorothy Brickhouse, 87, of Oxford will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brickhouse died Monday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

Gover

PELL CITY

Services for Wallace Gover, 77, of Pell City will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cropwell with Revs. W.L. Martin, W.J. Posey, Billy Frazier and Belvie Brice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6-8 tonight at the funeral home in Talladega.

Mr. Gover died Saturday at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

Survivors include his wife, Della M. Gover of Pell City; a daughter, Caroline Gover of Pell City; two sons, Bobby R. Gover of Mobile and Kenneth Gover of Pell City; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Brison, Bobby Gover, James McGowan, Marlon Gover, Kenneth Gover, Rodney Curry, Sean Gover, Don McGowan and Roderick Swain.

Mr. Gover was a member of First Baptist Church of Cropwell and retired from Avondale Mills in Pell City in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oza and Hattie McAfee Gover; a daughter, Shirley A. Gover; and four brothers and a sister.

Services for Margie Inez Honeycutt, 82, of Sarasota, formerly of Jacksonville, will be announced by K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Crematory.

Huguley

JACKSONVILLE

Services for Judy Huguley, 43, of Jacksonville, formerly of Anniston, will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church with Rev. Ross Reed Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Ms. Huguley died Friday at Jacksonville Hospital.

Survivors include three sons, Travis Huguley of Kansas City, Mo. and Courtney Huguley and Carlos Huguley, both of Anniston; her mother and stepfather, Betty and Roygers Burton of Anniston; her father and stepmother, William and Nora Huguley of Anniston; four sisters, Telicia Heard of Birmingham, Dawn Hayes of Nashville, Tenn. and Janet Carr and Toya Street, both of Anniston; six brothers, Frank Huguley, Jeffery Huguley, Fredrick Huguley, all of Anniston, Travis Huguley of Birmingham, Kevin Huguley of St. Mary, Ga. and Jonathan Carter of Killeen, Texas; four stepbrothers, Rev. Timothy Pope of Anniston, Reginald Woodgett of Spring Hill, Tenn., Rodney Pope of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Calvin Salters of Atlanta; four stepsisters, Channing Pope, Martha Thomas, Sonja Pope, all of Anniston and Pamela Gooden; her grandparents, Rev. A.C. Huguley and Mildred Carter, both of Anniston; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Huguley was employed by Jacksonville State University and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Knox

ATLANTA

Services for Arthur Knox, 83, of Atlanta, formerly of Oxford, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with Rev. Ervin Barclay officiating. Burial will be in Parker Memorial Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Knox died Thursday at Laurel Baye Health Care Center in Decatur, Ga.

Survivors include a daughter, Eva Henry of Atlanta; two sons, Earnest Knox of Newport News, Va. and Walter Knox of Atlanta; a brother, L.V. Knox of Oxford; a caregiver, Lucille Swain; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Mr. Knox was a member and deacon of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He was a member of Elks Lodge 605 Enterprise. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot and was an Army veteran.

Nimon

HEFLIN

Services for Judy Elaine Nimon, 51, of Heflin will be today at 2 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Clevenger officiating. Burial will be in Victory Methodist Cemetery.

Mrs. Nimon died Sunday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, George Nimon of Heflin; two daughters, Krystal Elaine Nimon and Anna Victoria Nimon, both of Heflin; and a son, Nathaniel Lee Nimon of Heflin.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Jimmy Brown, Joe Brown, Jimmy Henry, Ricky Jones, Kenneth Nimon, Thomas Nimon and William Poland.

Mrs. Nimon was a native of Carrollton, Ga., and had lived in Heflin since 1992. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a housewife.

Reaves

Services for Edsel Ford Reaves, 74, of Anniston will be today at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Revs. Dale Hooper and Glenn Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Reaves died Monday at Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Reaves of Anniston; three daughters and their husbands, Debby and Dave Kelley and Cindy and Randy Daniel, all of Oxford and Vicky and Danny Boozer of Heflin; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Cindy Reaves of Huntsville and Danny Carrole of Anniston; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Inez and Everett Williams of Montgomery, Cozet Pace of Covington, Ga. and Ruth and Dan Shirah of Ozark; a brother and his wife, Frank and Vicky Reaves of Wadley; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reaves was a native of Randolph County and had lived in Calhoun County most of his life. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot after 35 years of service and was an Air Force veteran. He was a Baptist.

Services for Fannie Mae Sims, 97, of Ashland will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Wood officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Memorial Garden with Sims Funeral Service in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. The family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sims died Thursday at her home.

Survivors include two daughters, Sadie Stephens of Ashland and Lena Glenn of Lineville; 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
