GLADYS IRENE Johnson DOBSON

TALLADEGA Funeral service for Gladys Irene Johnson Dobson, 85, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Gandy officiating. Burial will be in Old Field Cemetery.

Mrs. Dobson died June 8 at Citizens BMC. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was formerly employed by Barry Manufacturing Company for 19 years and was retired from Palm Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Porter Dobson, and a son, Milton Johnson.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara LeGrenda of California, Brenda Grogan of Talladega and Mildred Goray of Talladega; sons, Clifton Johnson of Leslie, Mo., Robert Dobson of Jacksonville, Wayne Johnson of Valparaiso, Ind., Robert A. Johnson of Cullman and Paul E. Johnson of Talladega; 25 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Usrey Funeral Home will direct the service.

MARY S. FORREST

TALLADEGA Funeral service for Mary S. (Frankie) Forrest, 66, was Monday at Usrey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ruth Van-Lillian officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Forrest died June 7 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County, was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Forrest of Talladega; daughter, Stephanie Keith and husband Michael Keith of Talladega; son, Steve Forrest and wife Cindy Forrest of New Hope; grandchildren, Andrew Forrest, Gregory, Christopher and Nicholas Pettus and Kathryn Keith; and sisters, Margaret Ann Pope of Talladega and Jenny Dothard of Jacksonville.

Pallbearers were Tommy Spencer, Allen Franklin, Nelson Medlock, Edgar Ray Spencer, James C. Spencer, Scott Dothard and Gerald Homesley.

Contributions may be made to Faith Home Hospice Care in Sylacauga.

Usrey Funeral Home directed the service.

CAIDEN JOSEPH GALLAHAR

LEEDS Funeral service for Caiden Joseph Gallahar, 7 months, was Monday at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial was in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

The infant died June 6.

He is survived by his father, Joseph Gallahar; brother, Casey Cook; grandparents, Coy Wilcutt, Jody Gallahar and Sandra Grimes; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the service.

CHRISTI DAWN GALLAHAR

LEEDS Funeral service for Christi Dawn Gallahar, 29, was Monday at Kilgroe Funeral Home chapel in Leeds. Burial was in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Gallahar died June 6.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Gallahar; son, Casey Cook; father, Coy Wilcutt; sister, Deanna Lynn Kinney; and grandfather, J.C. Wilcutt.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds directed the service.

JIMMIE LOU MARTIN

SPRINGVILLE Funeral service for Jimmie Lou Martin, 66, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at New Lebanon Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Lebanon Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin died June 8. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Martin, and a granddaughter, Sandra.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Howard Martin; daughter, Emily Glaze; sons, Lynn Martin and Mark Martin; brother, Ned Newton; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kilgroe Funeral Home in Leeds will direct the service.

ELSIE McGHEE

COLUMBUS, Ga. Celebration of Homecoming for Elsie McGhee, 94, of 3535 Ukraine Drive, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sylacauga. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. McGhee died June 6 at St. Francis Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Massie and Leola Hill Hoyett. She was born in Coosa County on Jan. 31, 1909. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and an Eastern Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Phifer (Veston) of Columbus, Ga.; sons, Arthur McGhee of Joliet, Ill., and Paul McGhee (Mattie) of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Early Hoyett and Herman Hoyett of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Erma Jenkins of Cleveland, Ohio and Era Lee Belyeu of Rockford; sister-in-law, Ruby Crawford of Rockford; and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Progressive Funeral Home in Columbus, Ga., will direct the service.

YOSHI N. POGUE

LINEVILLE Funeral service for Yoshi N. Pogue, 76, will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Clay County Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will be in Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Pogue died June 8 at Baptist Medical Center Montclair. She was a native of Okinawa, Japan, and had lived in Lineville for the past 25 years. She was a tailor and clothing designer and was a Buddhist by faith.

She is survived by her husband, Leonard Pogue of Lineville; daughters, Donna Victor of Woodbridge, Va., and Frances McCormick of Lineville; a son, Jimmy Pogue of Anniston; sisters, Hide Motomori and Teru Pixley of Okinawa, Japan; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Pogue, Ryan Pogue, James Prickett, Johnny Thompson, Sam Bowden, Sherman Hayes and Brad Gilbert.

Clay County Funeral Home will direct the service.

BOBBY LEE TRUSSELL SR.

TALLADEGA Bobby Lee Trussell Sr. died June 8.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Usrey Funeral Home.

AGNES L. WALKER

OXFORD Funeral service for Agnes L. Walker, 84, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Lorenzo Williams officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Walker died June 3. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Walker; son, Willie Agustava Mathis; parents, Andrew and Eliza Truss; sisters, Thelma Spears and Heneritta Chapman; and brothers, Willie, Emittee, Curtis and Smith Truss.

She is survived by a son, John A. Mathis of Talladega; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The body may be viewed at the church for one hour before the service.

Ervin Funeral Home will direct the service.

MAX WILLS

EASTABOGA Funeral service for Max Wills, 67, was Monday at Miller Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jackie Morgan officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Wills died June 7 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. He was a native of Clay County and had lived in Eastaboga for the past 30 years. He retired from the National Guard and the Anniston Army Depot. He was a member of Coldwater Baptist Church and American Legion Post 155.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wills of Eastaboga; daughters, Millicent Pastor of Louisiana, Stephanie Mills of Texas and Tanya Grimes of Sylacauga; son, Todd Cofield of Wellborn; sisters, Maurine Brewer of Talladega, Betsy Graben of Lineville, Patty Wade of Talladega and Emmie Jane Shaddix of Alexander City; brothers, Robert Wills of Talladega, George Wills of Talladega, Lynn Wills of Goldville, Donald Wills of Talladega, Louie Wills of Alexander City and Huie Wills of Ashland; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Tony Graben, Ray Brewer, Scott Wills, Gary Bowen, Norman Rhodes and Waschaa Craig.

Miller Funeral Home directed the service.
