Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral services in the church. Family members may be contacted through Rev. Allen Brown at (334) 315-2522.

DAVIS, Leon Thomas a resident of Montgomery, Alabama expired Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Tuskegee, Alabama.

LIPSON, Henry, Jr., age 61, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2011 at Baptist Medical South. Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.from Stone Chapel AME Zion, Old Selma Road, Montgomery, Alabama, Rev. Loretta Payne officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Burkville, Alabama. EG Cummings Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Neil Jackson, Henry Jackson and Charles Thomas; five brothers, Norman Lipson, Johnny Lipson (Mary), Jerry Lipson (Willie Lee), Earnest Lipson all Of Montgomery, Alabama and Sammy Lipson, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Martha Lipson, Mosses, Alabama; his special angel, Arnesha Lipson, Prattville, Alabama; five grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

ELLIOTT, Jack W., Col. USAF, (Ret.), passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Louis, MO.

ANDERSON, Elizabeth Jane Lee

ANDERSON, Elizabeth Jane Lee, age 71, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at a local hospital on November 15th, 2011, after an extended strong fought cancer battle. She was born in Forest, Mississippi to Former Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice and Mrs. Percy M. Lee on December 13th, 1939. She was one of eight children. A funeral service will be held November 18th at 7 PM. at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery. Dr. Jay Wolf will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 6 PM. A private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery the next morning. Mrs. Anderson graduated from Forest High School in 1957 and from Mississippi College in 1961. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. James Noble Anderson; son, Dr. James Noble Anderson, Jr., daughters; Beth Sullivan (Paul), Lee Batey (Todd), grandchildren, Christianna Lee Sullivan, Mary Elizabeth Sullivan, Katherine Ruth Sullivan, and James Noble Anderson III, Her brothers; retired Mississippi Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Noble Lee, Sr, Forest, Mississippi, Robert Edward Lee, Clinton, Mississippi and U.S. District Judge Tom S. Lee (Norma Ruth) of Jackson, Mississippi, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by brothers Percy Mercer Lee, James Walter Lee, Charles David Lee and sister Annie Laurie James. Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a devoted lady of Christian faith. She had a wonderful gift of giving and providing for others. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and was humble, gentle and kind. CANTRELL, William Dewayne, 63, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Thursday, November 17, 2011.

EPTON, Delmar F.

EPTON, Delmar F., 77, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2011 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born August 21, 1934, he was preceded in his death by his parents and two siblings. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pope Epton; children, Janet Weir (Mike), Sheila Helms (Ron), Michael Epton (Susan), Lisa Cox; step- children, Celeste Ryan (Spencer), Michael Rowell; and a sister, Laverne Holmes (Don). He was also a devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Delmar served in the US Army, stationed in Korea and Ft. Benning, GA, until 1957. After residing in California for 8 years he moved his family to Montgomery in 1965. He began work with First National Bank in 1966 where he worked through multiple re-organizations, acquisitions, and mergers as First National became First Alabama Bank and then Regions Bank. Delmar was an integral part of the growth and success of Regions Financial Corporation until his retirement in 1998 as Executive Vice President of Operations. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:30 followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30. FORSTER, Leslie Stark

FORSTER, Leslie Stark of Montgomery, Alabama, age 44, went into the arms of the Lord on November 16, 2011 after a brief illness. Leslie was preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and Josephine Stark and Walter and Lillian Forster and her aunt Nova Lee Galvin. She is survived by her parents, Richard "Dick" and Doris Forster; brothers, Michael Forster (Valerie) and David Forster (Antrice), sister; Ann Elizabeth Forster, many loving and caring aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A special "Thank You" to the doctors, nurses and staffs of Father Purcells (St. Jude Hospital), Tarwater and Partlow Facilities and Hilltop Home who cared for Leslie during her life and all those Saints at Princeton Baptist Hospital in Birmingham who showed their love and care for her in the last days and hours of her life. Bye sweet Leslie we will miss you! The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 19 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. A private family graveside will be held at a later date. RUSSELL, Marijohn, 79, of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away Monday, November 15, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Russell, Sr. and is survived by her daughters: Melissa Linn and husband, Gregg; Jennie Weller and husband, Jeff; Sons: Charles E. Russell, Jr. and wife Tina; John Russell and wife Jackie; Scott Russell and wife Kim; Brother: Joe Crain; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Marijohn was born in Newnan, Georgia and grew up in Welcome, Georgia. She was a graduate of Crawford W. Long School of Nursing in Atlanta and was a long time resident of Hope Hull where she was a member of Pintlala Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth - Lydia Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, Nov. 19 at Leak Memory with Rev. Gary Burton officiating. GARDNER, Raymond Lee, Jr., 56, a resident of Coosada, Alabama died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Wayne Rouse officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Raymond always demonstrated his strong Christian leadership and faith. Mr. Gardner was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lee Gardner, Sr.; one brother, Lon Gardner; and one niece, Carmen Channell. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Valerie Burnett Gardner; three daughters, Emma Lou (Mandeal) White, Afton Lee Gardner, Bobbie Ray Gardner; two sons, Johnny Ray Reynolds and Derrick Reynolds; his mother, Mattie Gardner; three grandchildren, Rome Cavanaugh, Justice Gardner, and Jaydan Gardner; two sisters, Linda (Joseph) Powell and Lesha Channell; one brother, Bobby Frank (Shelly) Gardner; and numerous extended family members and many friends. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his devoted and loving parents, Mike Patterson and Ophelia Hatcher; three brothers, Marquis Hatcher, Victor Hatcher and Malik Hatcher; three loving sisters, Chandelier Hatcher, Rameshia Rebecca Hatcher and Ken'nicia Hatcher; one step-brother, Jaquarious Grant all of Montgomery, AL.; grandparents, Morris (Annie Mae) McCall of Phenix City, AL., and Arthurine (Willie) Rochelle of Montgomery, AL.; five Aunts, Vernicia (Marshall) Woods, Shywon Hatcher, Brenda Kelly, Mary Kelly and Sylvia Kelly; five Uncles, Daniel Hatcher, Joseph Hatcher, Olympic Hatcher, Eric Kelly and Robert Kelly all of Montgomery, AL.; a host of supportive cousins; Sharon Cooper, Shyvat Cooper, Latisha Minor, Krystal Minor and Juakeyshia (Steve) Pruitt all of Montgomery, AL. He also leaves Georgia (Willie) Thomas a devoted Aunt/Godmother who nurtured and supported him through his life; a devoted friend, Shanquilla Springs and many others.

Interment will follow in Hickory Chapel Cemetery, Ramer, AL with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, Inc., directing. Mrs. Jones will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Jones; mother, Gussie McCall Gamble; father, Selma Gamble; daughters, Mamie Ruth Jones and Mattie Gilmore; son J. D. Jones. She leaves to cherish three sons, James (Betty), Melvin (Georgia) and Samuel Thomas (Abbie); one daughter, Thelma (Alonzo) Sankey; one sister, Johnnie Mae Hollis; one brother, Samuel Gamble; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A lot of lives were touched by her love and kindness and she will be greatly missed and remembered.
